Jay and Mark Briscoe entered the new year as Ring of Honor tag team champions after defeating Special K. With the legendary Jim Cornette in their corner they proved to be a powerful force in the ROH tag team division. After several matches with Samoa Joe and various partners, the Briscoes managed to cement their position as the top team in the company. While holding the championship, the brothers also participated in several singles matches as well, including Jay Briscoes vicious cage match against Samoa Joe. Though they parted ways with Jim Cornette, the Briscoes battled and defeated the Prophecy, Special K, The Havana Pitbulls, The Backseat Boyz and more. After losing the titles to the Second City Saints, the Briscoes found themselves teaming with long time rival Samoa Joe to battle the Rottweilers. Unfortunately, in late August after Mark Briscoe was involved in a motorcycle accident, Jay and Mark Briscoe did not compete for the remainder of the year and their future is uncertain.
