Well. if you look in the featured articles section, there is an interview I did w him. Hes a young guy, w LEGIT training, who is a pretty skilled performer. Sure, theres rust, but hes training in a good school, and looks better each show. One of the best fresh talents IMO outta Ct in a long time.
One thing, if you use trained guys, some of the Ct PWI students (Lukas, Biff, Sweet, BMT, Williams and others w/b good) may consider coming, Id think. Untrained guys, dont hold your breath. JMO. |

This really isn't the place to do this. Ask for a resume or something and you'll be able to contact the promoters that way. On a side note, Lukas is a nice guy and a heckuva talent. |

Yes I didn't want to make this an offensive or negative thing, I just want to hear some people thoughts on him.
In the couple of times that I have been in contact with him he seemed very professional and humble and I am very excited to bring him up.

Because that damn sign has been on every thread basically they have been mentioned on. Thats all I mean.
I gave the guy the type of info he wanted, and such. I didnt add extraneous stuff. Also, like Whoathere said, maybe contact Lukas and get a resume etc. and talk to the promoters too. They must like his work, to use him as much as they do. |

While Lukas hasn't worked for DPW at this point in his career, I have had the pleasure of being on a few other shows with him. In my opinion, he is steadily improving, and comes across as a very respectful young man.
I would suggest if you can't get in touch with him on here, to PM Rick Starr and ask him for some contact info.
Hope that helps..

i have seen Lukas wrestle a couple times and i think he is an amazing wrestler for being so young and new to the wrestling world. He can really go out there and put the crowd at the edge of their seats. Lukas Sharp is CT's next big thing |

Aside from the solid young talent already mentioned, another guy not to sleep on is Chris Mooch, well trained and still working the rust off, but if you are looking for bright young CT grapplers, Mooch is another to consider, also a real pro outside of the ring.
Glad to hear about Lukas possibly getting a shot like this. He's a pro as well. |

Lukas is actually going to be at WCWA wrestling Andy Sweet next Saturday and on October 13, he is going to battling for the title of "CT's Next Big Thing" against Brendan Michael Thomas (BMT) at Power and Glory Wrestling! Seems like Luke might have some competition for the title of "CT's Next Big Thing". However, I must admit Luke is one of the few who have broken out in 2007. With the inception of Power and Glory Wrestling, it allowed CT indy fans see young talent such as Lukas Sharp, Andy Sweet, Mr. Williams, "Stiff" Biff Whitman, and others. It's just awesome to see all new additions we have to that list. If you look at shows such as the upcoming WCWA show and PGW's show in Fairfield, CT (Knights of Columbus... cheap plug!), you will probably notice that it showcases the fresh batch of young wrestlers in CT. WCWA has matches like Andy Sweet/Lukas Sharp and BMT/Mr. Williams. Then, you go to PGW and you got Andy Sweet/Mr. Williams, Eddy Latham/Jayson Snyper, Stiff Biff/Russian Hammer, and the man who started this thread Lukas Sharp/BMT (which just might be a show stealer.... just might . There are a lot of new young talent that impressing the hell out of indy fans in CT. |

Sharp is worth the investment. The only complaint I have about him is after watching some of the training footage, he seems to be holding back. But he is getting into his heel character now, finding his groove, and really an impressive wrestler. Few years I can see him being a lot like Jason Blade.
Read his interview to get a feel for his attitude and his style.
If you book Sharp, may want to look into Brian Anthony as well. This is a match that can potential steal any show it is on. |

Mild, vanilla, lacking charisma, strong on move execution but really not belonging anywhere past intermission?

Aw come on. Be fair her. Both Frankie and Jason are awesome competitors. I haven't seen either nearly as much as I'd like too. Frankie is a powerhouse and Jason really talented. I'd say the equation goes something like this:
Frankie Arion = Jason Blade
 |
never, I love being fair, it wouldn't be fair if I wasn't totally and completely honest with how I felt. True?
Jason Blade possesses some awesome execution of basic wrestling techniques and can really pull out some strong stuff when he wants to, but his inability to get me emotionally involved in his work leaves him lacking that final dimension. He doesn't stand out in any special way, he doesn't have the plucky underdog dynamic behind him that Frankie does, and I haven't seen him improve all that much in the years I've been watching him, a little here and there but he's still vanilla Jason Blade.
Frankie is miles better then him, because he can get a crowd to care, Jason Blade's work translates best to DVD, Frankie Arion's work translates good period, live or DVD, because he is extremely well-versed in his sellwork and getting sympathy from the people.
Both CAN be awesome competitors, but when it comes right down to it, Frankie/Slyck at DPW this year and Frankie/Edwards at MXW in 2006, were both fantastic matches, but both also show how much Frankie Arion has changed and improved as a wrestler, what can you say that for for Jason Blade? He's a great guy but he shouldn't have all the namepower for the New England cruiserweights when its guys like Frankie and Mikaze tearing up New England wrestling rings with their work.
I'm being fair, I'm giving you a full and unbiased opinion comparing two of the top cruiserweights in the Northeast
I stand by my old equation
Frankie Arion > Jason Blade |
