This is probably a good thing this happened, so that things in the building will be brought up to code, but I'm disappointed, as I was looking forward to going to this show. Oh well.

PROBABLY ? Id say it ABSOLUTELY is a good thing. There are regulations and rules to protect the patrons and in this case, performers as well, in any building. Maybe nothing would have happened, but I applaud the city for being sure this is being done properly too, for the safety of everyone concerned.

Conspiracy Theory#1 : In an effort to sabatoge DPW the Grey Ghost considered calling the fire marshall after a fire sport some monthsd ago. He wrote the number on his dollarmenu double cheeseburger wrapper, while enjoying a post-match snack, upon throwing the wrapper away in at trash recepticle at the local McDs Ghost returned home to post many comments about 5 star PGW matchs and looking forward to the April show everyday for the next three weeks. Until, hunger once again stuck and Ghost found himself belly up at the same McDonalds some weeks later, ordering serveral more delicious double cheese burgers. Little did he know in an effort to save a few buck McDonalds workers pick through the garbage and "recycle" wrappers cups ect. As fate would have it one of the Ghosts wrappers was indeed the same wrapper that had the state fire marshalls numbers on it, thus striking the memory to call them and request a "five star inspection" of the Proving Grounds causing all of this. Funny Ghost did not plan to attend this show in his calender dispite his constant "support" of DPW now with such positive comments twords the fire marshall and obvious plans to attend the April PGW show with an extra 15 bucks for gimmicks that he saved on a DPW ticket..... in other news McDonalds is now sponsoring PGW : )

To be fair, DPW just isn't of a lot of interest right now. I have reasons, which don't need to be discussed here, other than the show style isn't what I really like right now..

THAT SAID, your story is quite humorous indeed. The only thing you got wrong was that it was an empty styrofoam container for a Kung Pao Chicken Combination Platter. Seems the fire inspector loves Chinese food too, thusly he spoke to me..hahaha.

Again, Im sure DPW will be back, w all safety issues addressed to continue to have the "edgiest" promotion in the area.
