I don’t understand how people say the card sucks. It has many of the best local indy stars available. These are the same indy stars you pay to see work at smaller / lesser promotions that you boast are so great and have 5 star matches with these same workers. Then on top of that, the card has 4 TNA stars. So for those of you saying the card is crap and sucks I’d like to hear the reasoning. |

enjoyable enough show, nothing great but nothing below average either. I was there with Ms. TNA, Funk III and Alan Funk III. it was great seeing Xavier and Lethal, those guys wrestled each other on the first show i ever went to so it was kinda like old home week. opener was Blade and Sain Blade was his normal athletic self Sain hit a few good power moves,Blade gets the W which surprises me since Sain had the big feud with Lawler. Short sleeve Sampson and Talia vs. Rob Eckos and some girl im not familiar with. a whole lot of nothing here, just seemed that like half the moves just didnt go smoothly, a semi comedy match with not much funny. Talis and SSS get the W. a few decent moves at the end. Lethal-Anthony was ok,some nice back and forth and Lethal wins with the top rope elbow drop. Xavier vs. Zombie was a no DQ title match. they used a table and garbage can lid. Zombie looked ok at best, slow and not very sharp for the most part but picked it up at the end.Xavier looked like he had bulked up but he had lost some speed as well. they worked hard and both bled. CT idols vs. Ocean and Bricco was pretty good,Kurt did most of the wrestling and the match was pretty crisp. the good guys won. Lawler beat a Lebanese prince, typical stuff,Lawler outsmarts the guy here and there etc. hits the piledriver for the W. Joe goes over Steiner the the rear choke. Steiner hit a few nice suplexes on the champ, good basic match but no muscle buster. sadly didnt win the 50/50 raffle but they had a nice selection at the concession stand. |

Sorry to hear about Xavier's trip to the ER
He has sent many people there himself. |

I agree,it doesnt look like he moves fast enough to hurt anyone anymore. like GA said both guys bled, the X man got it worse. good show for being a half hour from the old homestead, it was great to see Joe and Lethal again,it was like seeing old friends, cant compare to ROH in NYC this upcoming weekend though. |

It looked like they got cut and Xavier got injured on the table. It was a five foot table---can be dangerous because you're too close to the legs, the brackets and the working parts. You really need an 8 foot table---breaks easy (less structural integrity) and it's clean in the center. The plastic chair shots were also bad. NEW needs to pay attention to their gimmicks. There was trouble with a short table before. They don't break and if they do it's dangerous. Brian is right. Xavier has injured way too many opponents with stuff that doesn't even get over.
Crowd was really down for NEW. I'd guesstimate 250-300 tops. |

You're exactly right about longer tables being better.
I'm surprised they didn't draw more people. Maybe the day and time had something to do with it. I wanted to go to this show myself but a Sunday night show 2 hours from home just isn't ideal when I have to work the next day. |

I've gotta make the trip for NEW someday, I've heard many good things and the cards are usually stacked. |

It's unusual that FlairFanatic and InfamousTIM are not on here raving about this show as usual! Was it because there were 250 people attending a $14,000 show? Was it because the crowd was dead 90% of the show? Was it because of the tag team match---I can't wait for the DVD to see Joey Bricco and Bobby Oceans in action---pretty good stuff! |

Well. NEW didn't have a good show, attendance wise. And of course, FF and Tim won't down it, one works for it, one lives for it..hehe. Anyways, I hear the fans from here that went enjoyed themselves.
Far as a DVD. maybe they won't release it.
This is an open letter to NEW, come to Manchester High School. There ya go. |
