There are a few wrestling companies out there that have been running for a long time, that do not do much advertising on this site mainly because the people here don’t care for their product. They do fine without us. Your continuous attempt to gain acceptance here is baffling. If you do indeed attract 200 people to each of your shows, then why do you care what seven people on the Internet think?
Ya know what I don’t like about your shows (without even seeing one)? You have no experience to lean on. Sure, you can bring in the Frankies, the Morrisons, ect., but they are not integrated into your product. (NLP suffers from this same malady.)
On the other hand, look at FRW, where kids like Tony Spencer and Link Thunder can watch Sonny Goodspeed and Maverick Wild; look at Chaotic where Sledge Lydel and Mike Nice can observe Handsome Johnny, Brian Fury and others; andlook at EPW where countless number of kids are learning from Bob Evans the correct way to conduct themselves. You guys will never get the respect from those who came before you while you re off doing your own thing.
And I guess there is nothing wrong with that, but I still ain’t paying 12
bucks. |
I agree with JD because it is true! |

My name is AJ and I was trained in Florida, 2 months with a promotion that is no longer around and 5 months with Bob Cook. Because I was privately trained, I never really had the chance to wrestle in florida because I was had no credit to my name.
I now train with UWD and Aaron Morrison and no only do i get experience, the likes of which no one else would give me, but I have learned and improved the last 3 1/2 months with UWD and Morrison. I have nothing but respect for my trainer... No we are not ALL amazing athletes and some of us do need some work, but we do what we can to entertain.
I do understand the "gear" arguements some of you have made... we are working on it. I understand that you dont like that our family and friends pay 10-12 dollars to see us... I understand that 150+ attendence in a little hall is a bit much for us non-trained yet "training" wrestlers... No we are not all fully trained, but we are working on it. some of us take chances, some of us mess up... some of us are easy to criticize... but ALL of us bust ourselves to get better every week.
I dont say anything to be an jerk... I go to shows and shake everyones hands, I say good luck to every wrestler, I look for criticism anywhere i can get it... that is how most of us UWD guys are.
I have worked with(in training settings) with Bob Cook, FPWA in FL, Aaron Morrison, Kevin Landry Frankie Arion, and Idol.... And have excepted criticism from them all. I dont ask that you attend our show... I dont ask that you like the way we run things... I ask for you to look past some of the dis respect shown between some UWD guys and yourselves... let us do what we need to do to get better... and try to respect the fact that we are working hard, training, and putting on as good a show as we can. thanks.

Ya gotta understand, most of the disrespect that you guys are getting on here is because one of your fellow wrestlers has been running his mouth. You would probably be a better spokesperson for the company.
As far as gear goes, since you guys are getting such large crowds, you would think you are getting large paydays? You should be able to buy some real gear.
Anyway, I see you are having a show in Greenfield in August. I may check it out. Good luck. |

well, i personally apologize for the disrespect from one of the guys... some guys get offended and react irrationally... do i get upset at some of the things said, sure... but i would rather explain myself and show respect to get it. i dont go around talking down to anyone or any organization... sure if asked an opinion about something id give it as a fan... but i dont like trash talk. in florida we have this thing where one hand washes the other... i was hoping it would be the same way here. you see us young guys trying to make something of ourselves, working to get better, and putting on the best show that we can while still training and you would think we'd get some kind of support from those who have come before us or in other words our peers. its just mind boggling to me. i went to 4-5 different promotions in florida and yeah i traveled hours to each just to see the show, be around the wrestling most of which i am friends with and who have helped me out in one way or another, and not only did i pay to get in but I helped tear down the ring... its a respect thing. wrestling in new england would be much better if everyone helped everyone one else out. I hope you guys have the respect that those guys I was trained around had and help support us young guys who are trying. UWD could still be doing the backyard thing calling themselves hardcore wrestlers... and yeah alot of veterans frown on that, but no... they are being trained, paying their dues, working hard and have shown everyone who have tried to help or support us(idol, landry, frankie, etc...) respect.... i appreciate your feedback and time. and i hope i am making some kind of sense. send me dates times and prices for you events and i would gladly check YOU out and watch YOUR show, and shake YOUR hand and enjoy your product... hell if i can spare the time id help tear down.... what the hell right. lol all i ask is that you look past one guy and see our product as a growing, improving thing... and support us, help us become better... as we would probably be more than glad to do for you im sure... thanks again. |
