"BENEFIT FOR BRANDON"
FRIDAY, JULY 11TH, 2008
BELL TIME 7:30 PM.
BANK ST. ARMORY
72 BANK ST.
FALL RIVER, MA.
BRANDON CUSICK IS A 5 YEAR OLD BOY FROM FALL RIVER THAT HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH LEUKEMIA. BRANDON'S FAMILY CONTACTED ALLIANCE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING'S OWNER DAVE OLIVIERA THROUGH A FAMILY FRIEND ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF DOING A BENEFIT SHOW FOR BRANDON. EVER SINCE THAT PHONE CALL WE HERE AT ACW HAVE MADE EVERY ATTEMPT TO MAKE THAT SHOW HAPPEN AND WE ARE VERY PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT ON FRIDAY NIGHT, JULY 11TH WE WILL HOLD A "BENEFIT FOR BRANDON" AT THE BANK ST. ARMORY IN FALL RIVER, MA. THE PEOPLE OVER AT THE ARMORY HAVE BEEN VERY GENEROUS TO US IN ALLOWING US TO RUN A SHOW THERE FOR THIS GREAT CAUSE. THIS SHOW IS NOT TO STEP ON ANYONE'S TOES, INVADE ANYONE'S TERRITORY OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, IT IS VERY SIMPLY TO HELP A FAMILY IN A TIME OF NEED. WE LOOKED AT OTHER BUILDINGS IN THE AREA BUT MANY WERE EITHER TOO SMALL OR NOT INTERESTED IN HAVING WRESTLING. WE WOULD HOPE THERE ARE NO HARD FEELINGS WITH ANY COMPANY IN FALL RIVER AS ONCE AGAIN THIS IS A BENEFIT SHOW. WE HAVE GOTTEN TOGETHER WITH SOME OTHER WRESTLING PROMOTIONS AND ASKED THEM TO JOIN US IN THIS SHOW, AS THE SHOW WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO JUST ACW WRESTLERS, BUT ANY COMPANY OR WORKERS THAT ARE WILLING TO HELP OUT. SO FAR ALREADY CONFIRMED ARE:
POWER AND GLORY WRESTLING
NO LIMIT PRO WRESTLING
SHOWCASE PRO WRESTLING
ALSO CONFIRMED ARE LENN ODDITY, "PUNISHER" DON VEGA, ACW COMMISSIONER JOHNNY FABULOUS, AND THE STARS OF ACW, WITH SOME RETURNING TO FALL RIVER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SEVERAL YEARS. THIS SHOW WILL ALSO BE HELD WITH 2 WRESTLING RINGS SIDE BY SIDE, AS WELL AS A LADDER MATCH ALREADY SIGNED. MATCHES SIGNED SO FAR ARE:
"EAST COAST INTENSITY" JOSE PEREZ
VS.
LENN ODDITY
REPRESENTING PWG
BRIAN ANTHONY
VS.
JOEY BRICCO
WE ALSO HOPE TO ADD MORE NAMES AND PROMOTIONS IN THE UPCOMMING DAYS AND WEEKS AS THIS SHOW NEARS. ANY WORKER, PROMOTER, ETC. INTERESTED IN TAKING PART IN THIS BENEFIT CAN EMAIL AT JJR129@AOL.COM.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ANY SUPPORT,
JAMIE REBELLO

Tips of advise:
1) Lay off the caps. If you want to come across as professional, regular type is fine.
2) If your going to include other feds in this, spell their names right and initials.
2 rings? Any reason for this? Other then war games setup, i really dont see this working out too well for the fans in attendance.
This is a very good idea for a good cause, but, hopefully you can not post this like indymark666. |

Anyone who goes through the trouble of running a large venue like the Bank St. Armory in Fall River strictly for charity for a sick kid-a major undertaking for free, done straight from the heart and devoid of personal gain beyond the satisfaction of helping someone out can overuse cap locks and use any as many rings as they please. When someone sticks their neck out to help someone, they should be lauded for their efforts.
ACW...I tried your email address, but it wouldn't deliver. Please contact me, I'd like to send down an FRW All Star title bout for the card (if the parties on my end of it are available. I'd do it myself, but my knee may not be quite ready by then. If Shane Sharp is available (All Star Champion) I'm sure he'd love to do it, and I have a couple of guys that would go down free of charge for a great cause and work their balls off for the cause.
I did the Christopher Littlewood benefit at the Armory a few years back, and it was one of the most positive things I was ever involved in. I won't ask for stupid things like high billing for my guys or do scummy things like I've seen some do on charity events and ask for a large amount of cash (or any, as I'm offering free of charge) the day of the show. Working the Littlewood benefit was worth more than money to me...it was an awesome feeling, and I/d love for a couple of my guys to experience doing something that positive. I would also recomend contacting Bobby Cruise, as he arranged a lot of free advertising for the last one and can point you in the right direction. Let me know if I can help out with any of the mundane but needed details as well.

I feel, as does Mav, that someone can be forgiven for the cap lock, although that is easy to fix, and a few errors, when making an effort for a good cause such as this one. This really isn't the time to to "pick apart grammar" so much as it is to help promote the cause.
Best of luck with this event. Hopefully you will continue getting more talent from all over, and a good crowd. |
9-7 North Haven fair w Big Shot
9-12 FRW Leominster Mass
9-20 GG's return to NECW
10-4 PGW ( I miss you Mom..)

EPW's in as well. We'll be happy to send a match and offer whatever support we can.
We're hoping to send a preview of one of our matches from the big United We Slam event on August 1 at Bank Street.

If you need an extra body I'd be happy to fill in somewhere. I have family currently battling leukemia as well so I'm more than willing to step in and help out if you want. |

I fully agree with that treatment costs much more then gas, and but at the same time, in this timw in our natuin it is getting harder and harder to due stuff for free. That was my lone point.
Hope the event goes well. |

WAIT!!!!!! You mean.......we may get to see Jose, JoseJoseJose Perez chop Joey Bricco again????? Does anyone even have pics from that match from back in February I think it was??? Joey earned mad respect that night, but he and Brian still deserve a few more chops!!!
FF, comon man, loosen up. We all know what he was saying in his post. Mistakes happen. Just send the gentleman a polite pm letting him know his mistakes so he can correct him......That's it FF, no more hanging with GrayGhost!!!! lol jk!
Defintely a great show for a great cause. Maybe EVERYONE here can advertise it on other sites, Myspace bulletins etc.........it all helps out in spreading the word.
Peace,
Dave |

Michael,
I know there's a gas price issue etc,, right now, but maybe for being a part of the "street team" they can compensate you with a ticket etc,,I'm not saying they will, but what I'm trying to say is, let promoting be your donation to the show. You'll feel good about doing it, trust me.

And I respect that, all i'm saying is not EVERYONE has the money to lose helping to promoye the sho. No one shoud be looked on as BAD for askiing for a bit of Gas money to help fill seats.
This takes this post off topic, and that no longer is a good thing LOL. Have a good event guys. |
