So basically I asked this because the man who tossed the chair over the barricade is an outspoken character who goes to lots of the ROH shows in CT. I would be thrilled if he was actually a Hammer poster. On Friday night at the event, he was wearing a Cubs jersey.

so wait, you're the guy that threw the chair? and you're wondering why they tried to throw you out? if it were anywhere else other than hartford, security would've taken out out back and tried to shove that chair up your ass, no lube raw dog style

So...

You picked up a chair and threw it, and you're mad because security rushed you, popped you one and wanted you to leave?

a) Your defense isn't strong. Even my kids at this point know not to use the old "everyone else was doing it" one. Mob mentality never gets a pass unless you're one of the zombies in the Dawn of the Dead flicks.

b) How exactly do you expect them to know that you only meant to throw it in the aisle? Security T-Shirts do not bestow upon thee verily the magic powers inherit of a 5th level elvish magic user wearing a helm of divination.

c) There must be 1,000 posts making fun of the Ghost on here for throwing a chair directly in front of him on the floor one time. He should thank you...you put one airborne and complained about the security reaction, thereby making him look much less foolish by comparison. Expect a PM from him stating "thank you for setting the bar lower heh-heh".

Put some ice on your jaw and toughen up flower...you're lucky they didn't force feed you your own spleen.

Mav,

If this is the guy in the Cubs shirt, I was across the ring from him and saw it clearly. He lightly tossed the chair over the barricade onto the mat directly in front of him. No throwing or airtime. A security person (not one of the graduates) made a feeble attempt to pull him away by touching him on the arm or the hand, which he ignored. Then the security person tried again. That's all I saw.

Maybe there were two separate chair incidents.

I can't believe the butcher and the Chicago sports fan guy are one and the same. I guess when you sign onto a message board you can be anybody.

Hope you all watch RAW tonight, I may not be there, but they will be talking about me.

1. something designed to support a person in a sitting position, as a chair, bench, or pew; a place on or in which one sits.

Definition of Seat and chair, stolen from www.dictionary.com

Nowhere does it say it is used as an airborne object. Thank you.

That sounds more like Butcher was the victim of an feeble attempt to pick him up put that way. Regardless, playing with the furniture is not part of the benefit package when buying a ticket, and if I was in a situation where people were throwing garbage and saw someone grab something a lot more hefty like a chair...I'd be pretty quick to judge. Once mob mentality sets in, then you have to worry about everybody joining in and riots. Tough call, but going a little overboard and quelching a possible riot is better than letting one get started.

My first or second year of wrestling, I did a weekend shot (Saturday and Sunday) at a large campground known as Outdoor World in Carver, Ma (I KNEW I was big time in those surroundings). The wrestlers were allowed to stay on site overnight for the Sunday show. Several got VERY drunk on the Saturday night and amused themselves by having a contest to see how far into the onsite pond they could throw the folding chairs that were set up around the ring.

I did not participate...my wife was with me. I did witness a rather rotund, Abdullah the Butcher looking Blade Runner/Reverend Redemption display incredible discus form considering he was piss drunk, standing/spinning on a very unsteady dock and in no shape, way or form could be confused with an Olympic level athlete.

I can only assume the directors of Outdoor World were not amused.

I am almost sure those were plastic bottles. Thankfully, a lot of places no longer sell glass bottles. Drunk people suck.

So The Butcher, you are the Cubs fan? You're a funny guy at the ROH shows!

Maybe the security gaurd was gay and he had his straight white trash radar in the "on" position. I hope so...'cause that would mean you got your ass beat by one of them there fruit loopy fags. That story's gonna be funny when your shootin the shit on the porch by the bug light with Zeb, Zeke and Sweaty.

The Cubs Fan didnt really even throw it. He basically took it and just threw it towards the ground.

Sure, everyone was wrong for throwing shit but, he was the only person who got a chair and tossed it. A lot of the chairs were untossable, as ROH zip ties them together.

What ever happened to ROH and there old security force? They had security that looked like they could actually do something.

The heat is on in the Cutlass 08 Tour

No airtime? Sounds like Rex Grossman to me.

I am giving some of history for ECW one stand night Pay per View that owned by the WWE that was taped in NY. U see the fan who are loyalty of ECW not WWE. They hate WWE stars. but they love ECW for some reason are :

1> hardcore

2> they pay to see Bleed

3> it's their choice

U may remember that John Cena vs RVD taken place in ECW One Stand Night? One of fan made sign that said " if Cena won, we are riot" that caused WWE to become corcerned of that.

that why the fans are crazy sometime by that way but for me in any independet, the fans are great!

yeah yeah yeah..we are all gay, and you will smash our faces in..Butcher, settle down if you can. Still tho, I know where you are coming from in a way bout the ROH thug security. Rolling Eyes Smile

And Chair throwing is expressly prohibited at all Championship wrestling events, except for piss poor hardcore reincarnations, where it is "cool" to fill the ring w chairs, before a move. Otherwise, its NOT allowed, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
