Totally agree with that statement. Usually when a promotion is holding a clinic they have one or two name talent that has worked with either WWE or WCW to drive interest to the event.

Take IWF in New Jersey for instance, when they hold training clinics they always announce their WWE or name talent in advance.

When promoters usually announce stuff like this and don't have names to give out, it usually ends up being a flop or two enhancement workers from the fed.

It's Joey Mercury and Rob Conway. 2 very good talents from WWE. Its should be worth the money for the seminar.

Just spoke with Rob yesterday and he is booked solid until Sept. 6th. He and Mercury will be traveling together out of Louisville.
We will announce a definite date once Rob and Mercury work out their dates. Hoping for September Friday 12th-Sunday 14th.
This gives everyone time to save and plan.
We're also hoping to plan some other clinics with talent available before September.

And for the naysayers (whoever you are nitpicky). All*Star Entertainment is in the application process with the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce. Doesn't get any more legitimate than that!!
Smart promoters don't take money out of their wallet. They utilize sponsors. Kennebunk was postponed by the Kennebunk Boosters due to their floor needing to be redone and Auburn was postponed because sponsor money didnt get in quick enough.
Thanks for your kind words though!!

you set yourself up for "naysayers"

i mean come on you post some bullshit about TWO 1/2's of MAIN EVENT tag teams. why wouldn't you just release the names with the official press release? Then within hours you REVEAL the two big names.

do you expect anyone to take time and drive to maine for some shifty ass promotion on a message board? to futher ruin your credibility you REVEAL Rob Conway. no offense to him but he isn't from a MAIN EVENT tag team. people just don't like to be bullshitted. your package doesn't seem all the bad. you just went out of your way to mislead people right from the get go.

Do you really think i expect to pull all my perspective attendees from the burning hammer?

This site isn't good for profit, its for the wrestling community. Fans, Wrestlers, Promoters, etc.

I doubt any promotion has made over $100 from ticket sales by promoting on the burning hammer besides maybe ROH and NEW.

Am I the only promoter on hear to post surprise information??

La Resistance and MNM weren't in PPV Main Events?? Hmmm... guess i was watching something else??

I guess I'll count you out of the 20 attendees??

Lmao.....

Look Louie the pizza guy everyone remembers all the claims you made in 2003 when you ran that first show

Let's see
you promised the wrestlers and staff catered food before the show. That consisted of 2 small trays of finger sandwiches that were gone before even half the workers arrived to the building

you had a script that was handwritten not even typed

you claimed that it was going to air weekly ont he UPN station yet that never happened.

After all was said and done you had the same claims you have now that sponsors pulled out, etc.

So I think you should understand why people would be weary after you cancelled 2 shows that you pushed for months and the fact you announced a seminar without listing names.

Then 2 hours later you are called on it and you list the names but no date.

For the record the Coach will make contact with that chamber of commerce to see if that claim is true, not that it makes you anymore legit

oh yea how is it living at mommy's house in maine louie?

Independent wrestling is so funny.......

Even though Bob Evans and I have had our differences he is so right when he says that people are cowards when they don't post under their real names.
I dont even know why I am responding, but I guess if I knew who you really were I'd confront you in person.
Louie "The Pizza Guy" was only a gimmick I used twice when i worked a NHW Skips bar show and a NWA-NE show in Sanford. So I'm guessing one of the workers from one of those shows 4 YEARS AGO is still a little sour.

So i'm guessing that every worker that worked for $50 plus trans complained about their pay? I was 100% a mark. I was 100% not prepared, I made many mistakes BUT the mistake I DID NOT make is not paying the talent.

Let me change my comment. "No promoter makes more than $100 directly from ticket sales by posting on the hammer. Any moron would realize that most ticket money comes from ads, posters, street teams, etc. There. Clairified!

Living at home with Mommy? Does that insinuate that you're a stalker?? Because it couldn't be farther from the truth.

I NEVER ONCE blamed lack of sponsors for the show in Augusta. I blamed myself for poor promotion.

My post said I would be announcing the names the next day, it was NOT when I was called on it. Dumbass. Are you a "worker". If so you would realize that "Name Talent" work off of a booking schedule. I was waiting for their confirmation before I pulled the wool over anyones eyes with bait and switch.

And hey I couldn't book Curtis "Big Cat" Hughes. Hes in such "high demand" these days.

Since I am making myself out to be a hypocrite by continuing to post on this useless site I will no longer do so for All*Star Events.
Its useless and its full of cowards.

The # is 207-754-2950. Call me and we'll talk. You're so bitter "Coachman". Get a life!

Couple of things, in no sensible order...

-I brought the ring up for the infamous Augusta show, and was paid in full. To the best of my knowledge, so was everyone else. Promotional inexperience aside, Louie did good by everyone on that front.

-Some one made comment to a hand written script. That's a shitload better than a lot of places. I type my line up but other than a finish and a time I want the match to go, that's it unless a certain match needs to go a certain direction. This is improv art/theater, not "Days of our Lives". Overdirecting what goes on kills the performer's ability to do his job properly. None of us are Vince...we don't need a script.

-Louie; If you don't want to promote shows here, that's understandable. I wouldn't rule out promoting the camp here though, as most guys will find out about it here.

-I wouldn't call anyone elses shows "shitty", unless they were some yardtastic group. Other places do what they do. You do what you do. Let people who attend shows make a determination for themselves.

This promoter is another baby, if he won't post here. I know a lot of shows like Powerhouse rely heavily, and successfully, on local advertising to draw big crowds.

But, the best website for indy wrestling can't help but draw some fans too. So, I think they r missing the boat, especially getting so defensive when they do post..

Good luck w the events no matter what however, and Im sure some fans from here will go, that live in the area , whether you promote it here or not.

I have edited the post. It wasn't fair to make that comment.

Just pisses me off when "local talent" bash each other on here. Neftali, Coachman and countless others get on here and spew there negativity. Who knows why.

Thanks MAV. Good point. I will continue to promote the camps as I don't have a mass email list built yet.

Anyone can plop down a few bucks and register with the state and state athletic commission. It doesn't mean you're totally legit. But it's promoters that make promises and advertise something they don't provide their fans or future fans that irritates people.

It's bad business and gives not only you a bad rap, it gives the business a bad rap altogether. Either you go through what you promoted or don't bother trying, it's that simple.

It's stuff like this that I don't have a problem with State Athletic Commissions cracking down on fly by night, weekend warrior promoters.

Whoa, hold up I didn't say shit about your show so don't go dragging me into your crybaby posts. Why not worry about promoting your shows and so forth instead of flipping out everytime someone says something negative on here. In case you havent realized people will always do something to get a rise out of you and it obviously worked since you have gotten so upset numerous times.
