I apologize. I am on Sonny's computer because I'm staying here until I leave tomorrow. I posted this:
As I sit awake before my extremely looooong drive tomorrow, I turn on the hamma and see this show. I love charity shows when they are done right. I always voluteer my time to them because that's just the right thing to do.
Looking at this thread and the matches, I have a major concern. The big thing about charity shows is that everyone always wants to help, which is great, but there are instances where you have got to be able to say no. On this page alone, there are 5 matches announced. That is almost a whole damn show. I've been on charity shows where there are more guys in the locker room than fans in the seats. I guess what I'm saying is that if you guys don't start saying no to people, this could become a cluster fuck. I'd hate see it happen because I really like the ACW guys. they have always treated me great, and I loved working there. I hope for Brandon's sake that I am wrong as can be. It's just that with all of these matches already announced, the show could run until 12:45.
If guys are looking to help, have them help out in other ways.....ie, sponsorships, set up, production.....anything. Once again, I really hope I am wrong and reading into things too much like I normally do

I'm sure everyone would like to thank you for your concern. You know, you're really beginning to come off as an obnoxious know-it-all. You're still a baby in this business who fancies himself a little too self-important. Why don't you contribute by setting up some chairs, getting some sponsorships and doing some production...or shut up. |

Actually, July 11th I'll be in LA working and actually making a pay day while getting flown across the country, put up in a sweet hotel and what not..... or else I would go out and bust my ass to get sponsors. But thanks for your advice vet. |

Can't we just stay on the important topic: THE SHOW? Eastman's right though, there are a ton of matches already annoucned, and the way it seems, the show will go overtime, in a big way. That's not good. I'm guessing the matches will be short and sweet for the most part, maybe they'll change things up. |

You must be angry that you can't get booked on this show and Eastman could if he was able to. |
If I was taller I could probably get booked on the show. I do know some hilarious midget spots but people don't seem to care like they used to.
"Actually" Joey's going to "actually" be "getting flown across the country" and getting "put up in a sweet hotel room and what not" so apparently he's too important to help get sponsors... but luckily he can still dole out his pearls of wisdom! I'm going to at least try and get some sponsors. I just hope I don't come up short! |
Joey,
Will the show go long? Perhaps. The last one I did at the same spot for a similar cause went kind of long too, but it was all for a good cause. As long as the local promotion is strong, the card itself is almost incidental. If some people leave or get kind of burned out...well, they large majority will more than likely be there only secondarily for wrestling. At the very least, no one will be able to say they saw a half assed show.
And now, onto "Tiger"...
Can people help out by doing things like getting sponsors, donations, etc.?
Of course. Joey probably can't, considering he just moved back to Chicago however. What I would like to ask is...are you doing anything to actually help a poor kid with cancer like everybody else is trying to do?
No. You're being a facetious fucking piece of do nothing dog turd who's sole intent is to fuck with people that are trying to help a worthy cause. What kind of fucking asshole would stir the shit pot on a show for a kid with cancer? You are a vile, putrid, infected puss for a soul dung eater who has about half the net worth of a used scented puck used in a McDonalds urinal. I wish I believed in God, Heaven and/or Hell, because then I could state with all confidence that there is a place reserved for you in the Underworld's blackest depths. Any demon with a sense of justice would cast your feet into two buckets of cement, let them dry and sink you to the bottom of the River Styx. Please go fuck yourself in your undersized eye socket using a reciprocating saw loaded with a rough cut wood blade. I suggest you use at least a 9" long blade so you can have a reasonable shot at hitting that dried up rotted prune that functions as your brain.
PS: Get a fake posting name more befitting your station in life. "Dipshit Olympiad", "Inbred self fist fucker" or "I 8 my toejam" would fit nicely. I knew Tiger Jackson, you pathetic loser. You're an insult to a guy who was a hell of a worker. He was a midget in stature only. The main category you come up short in is mental firepower.
Ashamed to admit I share the same planet with this dickhead,
Mav |

Leave it to some of the Burning Hammer's finest to cast a dark shadow over an event like this.
In such a dark, seedy business such as professional wrestling, all of these "competing" promotions have come together for one reason. A little child with cancer. It's not so much about a wrestling show, it's more about getting together to help a small child battling a disease that brings the biggest and strongest men to their knees.
The promoter's of this event should be applauded, not nit picked at every point. And especially not not picked by a complete waste of human space such as "tiger jackson".
Joey Eastman is a guy who has unlike "tiger jackson", actually been places in this business. Eastman merely offered advice. He's been around, he's seen a vast number of events, he knows what he's talking about.
Again, applaud this event. Applaud the promoter's that have put it together. Applaud the promotion's that will be sending matches to this event. Applaud everything about this event because it's not about ignorant, childish bickering of The Burning Hammer. It's about a small child with cancer, a small child with cancer.... |

Well, I am contributing a couple of signed photos by TNA Superstars and a brand new DVD just to help out. Its not much, but a raffle will hopeuflly help raise more money for Brandon, to help him beat this horrible disease.
Joey did gloat a little, which I found a bit sad too, but he knows what he is talking about in the business, for sure. Mav I think realizes too, and you should too Tiger.
If anyone is attending the show, making a raffle donation, cash donation, whatever is feasible for them, its a great help Id think. I look forward to hearing all about the event, and hopefully they'll put a big crowd in the Armory that night. |

I agree. MAV and Joey Eastman should just shut up sometimes so we can concentrate on more important things than those two trying to put themselves over as the ultimate authority on all subjects, all the time...we should concentrate on helping a young child with cancer.
I'm actually contributing to this cause unlike some others on here with big mouths. I was just offended by some big headed jack-off coming on here and undermining the promoters who are trying to do the right thing in their estimation. What people should be offended by is the arrogant and conceited comments by Eastman about his payday, flight and "sweet" hotel ...and how he'd bust his ass...but alas can't find the time.
MAV's vulgar display is far more hurtful to this thread and this cause than anything else. You are angry at the mighty midget because he's telling it like it is and callling Eastman out for his inappropriate post that does nothing but hurt the promoter and ultimately the show. Can MAV move to Chicago also? |
Firstly, any guy that would try to turn the subject of a charity show into his own personal forum to insult good workers and promoters, is obviously the scum of the earth and shouldn't be paid attention to in the first place. As a promoter myself, I find it quite unfortunate that anybody would try to upstage such a good cause, but knowing that it's the aforementioned "Mr. Jackson", it doesn't really surprise me. Here's a tip buddy, guys like MAV, and Joey Eastman are far more entertaining than you could ever hope to be. So go stand in a field and scare birds somewhere...
Back to the real subject of this post. This show is a great cause and wonderful idea. I think it's pretty cool that so many promotions are contributing to the show and knowing Jamie, it's pretty cool that he put it together. Our promotion(No Limit Pro Wrestling) will also be sending a match to the show. NLP Champion Pizzazz vs. "Judomaster" Benny Juxx in a Non-Title match.
In closing, good luck with the show guys, and don't let one turd spoil your punch bowl

Here we go again. Another bitter guy or someone trying to get themselves over as the the "truth" and the "guy who tells it like it is" in Tiger Jackson.
Pal, you're no Howard Cosell. He had a name and didn't hide behind fake pseudonyms.
Eastman got defensive because you decided he was an obnoxious prick without listening to the message. I think he was just cautioning ACW to say yes to absolutely everyone so we don't have 28 matches that night.
And by the way, he's helped set up and break down at my events and has given me wonderful advice on promoting and marketing EPW.
As for Mav being vulgar, go fuck yourself.

Thank you Bob. Expanding on this...
a) I have never professed to be an expert at anything. I am what I am...that ain't Popeye. I'm a French Canadian roofer and a local hack wrestler who's been farting around these parts for about 19 years. I feel I have some unique perspectives on things. That doesn't mean they are always right. Truth be told, I'm probably in the 50 percentile range, making me average.
b) Me being "vulgar": I am no English major. I can string a few words together; I can use an online dictionary and thesaurus. Beyond that, I'm the same kid from Westminster Mass that barely made it out of high school because coke and weed was a lot more fun than English comp. What I do have is a disdain for politically correct language and evasive wordage. If it is more effective to describe something with a five dollar word, that's what I use.
The context I address you, little tiger, doesn't require five dollar words, or even a 5 cent words. You’re screwing around with people who are trying to work together; people who under normal circumstances may not ordinarily get along, but out of sheer human kindness are trying to do something wonderful for a child with cancer. If I'm vulgar because I call out a cowardly piece of shit like yourself with some....oh no, BAD WORDS...so be it. I'd rather be vulgar yet honest and up front than articulate yet an asshole and a fucking coward behind a pseudonym for fear of being fingered for the true piece of shit he really is any day. For the record, calling you "articulate" is probably a stretch in itself-me being the eternal optimist; I'd like to think I can attribute SOME form of positive tag on you. Chances are, I'm coming up snake eyes on that roll though.
You know what? Maybe after 19 years of wrestling, I am an expert on one thing-scumbags. Lord knows I've come across a multitude of them. I'd say your efforts here qualify you as one. That is in my most humble of expert opinion on the subject.
In closing...On Friday, June 11th in Fall River at the much storied Bank Street Armory, several local wrestlers just like me will be out there busting their balls and putting on the show of their lives for 5 year old Leukemia patient Brandon Cusick. I know gas prices are high, and the economy sucks...but we're all better off than this little boy. This is one of those times where personal sacrifice in the name of the greater good needs to be made. This goes way beyond simple, stupid old pro wrasslin'. Representatives from NLP, ACW, FRW, EPW, NECW, BTW, NCW and others will donate their time, their efforts and their bodies for the cause. I ask anyone reading this to come, purchase a ticket and help ACW and all the talent assembled for this event make this a night to remember for one sick little boy. The Fall River/New Bedford area are my old stomping grounds, the area that graciously and patiently allowed a chubby kid named Scott Despres aka Maverick Wild to hone his skills into something resembling a pro wrestler. I know the inherit sense of community and kindness the people in the area are capable of. It‘s time to prove it again. Show Brandon you care, and help make a difference.

Jesus, what's with all the fighting? Eastman and MAV said nothing that would set a person with a normal mentality off the deep end, Tiger Jackson. I classify this as one of the biggest New England indy events of '08, especially for the cause it's going to. Let's get back on topic and discuss the show.
