Actually, we drew almost 850 on April 4, and good luck to the boys at ACW for trying to make this go. I'm sure they'll get a very good turnout.

Just a clarification.

You know what grinds my gears. When promoters and workers steal the shine on someone else's thread. EPW has done nothing but boost there own show and say how great there show is. I do know they are a good promotion, but its not the greatest show I've seen or the most fun. I actually would rather go watch NLP or SRW where its not necessarily the best wrestling but its fun and entertaining. Wrestling is entertainment is it not?

EPW is just using examples from their own experiences from running events in this hall to show that you don't necessarily need a popular name to draw a large crowd.

"Actually, we drew almost 850 on April 4" is strictly intended to put EPW over (and rather inappropriately in this thread). The April 4th event drew because it featured big names.

I'm really hoping there's a great turnout. There's less than a week to go and it would be great to see the local promotion stepped up in a big way.

Ok,,HONESTLY who CARES what anyone has done up to this point? What does that have to do with what THIS upcoming event will draw?

If ACW did a good job geting word out abiout this event the draw will be good. If they diden't the draw will suck.

I'd like to see it sell out so the most money can be rasied. There comes a point where gimmick posters trying to stir shit among on the interweb needs to stop. From where I sit that time is NOW.

I love wresting but hate many of the CHILDISH people it attracts.

For those of that want to fight over stuff that don't matter CARRY ON.

I'd rather pray that every seat is FULL for this child in need.

There must be a conspiracy amongst the gimmick posters to ruin this show.

From what I understand, ACW will have an add running tomorrow during RAW and the posters have been put out in the surrounding areas..just figured I'd try to clear up some of the things about what they are doing to promote

Hey GrayGhost, I know you're already planning on attending NEPW that night but just wanted to let you know a special guest appearance who will also be making their return to Fall River to be in the corner of "The Showoff" Mike Paiva when he challenges Doug Summers for the NCW Championship July 11th....

P.S. It's Mercedez.

RI Dave put the number at 600. It was corrected. That was the only point of putting the 850 number. I've seen plenty of shows with big names not draw at all because the people promoting it didn't promote well. I'd hate to see all the people that worked insanely hard on drawing that crowd to be shortchanged. And since my people work that hard, I get defensive when the crowd is underestimated.

We drew over 600 without names on 4/29/06. I hope these guys do the same, or more.

Again, Tiger Jackson is scared to death we'll know who he is because he's too much of a COWARD to post his name. Probably because it's someone we fired along the way or someone who's not good enough.

Unknown Mask Man: Sorry we're not your cup of tea. Enjoy NLP and/or SRW.

Jesus--what's with all this fighting? This is BENEFIT show. To BENEFIT a sick child. Who cares who drew what? The fact and focus of this thread is THIS SHOW! I personally think this is an excellent line-up for a Fall River crowd, which should for sure draw really well. If the person who said that ACW was going to advertise on Raw, then that's even greater, that's such a strong push in the right direction. Let's just hope the best for the show, put all the childish bickering behind, and continue to discuss it. This thread is tarnished enough as it is with a countless number of asshole comments. We are (most of us) all adults here--let's act like it. I'm sure if any casual fan came on to read this thread they would be left with a bad taste in their mouth and question, "This is the wrestling community?". Let's not me so selfish and try and get the last word in on ever back and fourth post. As I said, remember what this show's about before you post.

As a question about the show...We know Wrestling Spotlight is going to be there, but is there going to be photographers (Top Rope Photography or something?)

That's awesome then. I won't have to bring my camera. I've never seen their work, are they any good?

Coming from a true hypocrite himself/herself. Whatever you may call yourself.

All I know is that the show should be a good show. I have heard there has been promoting for the show such as posters, fliers on cars, and a commercial of some sort.

Sorry Bob I was not trying to put EPW in a bad light with the 600 number that I used.. I was just trying to make a point that thanks_for_mutten theory on how to draw in Fall River was wrong thats all.
P.S. Mav's theory may be right back then but not now.

I love you, Dave. Don't worry about it. I know it wasn't malicious by any means. I just didn't want to demean what everyone worked so hard to do.

Let's stay focused. Everyone should help get the word out about this important benefit...at the very least those on the burning hammer need to attend. No excuses...this is a once in a lifetime event anyway...you should want to attend. I sent info to The Herald News. Local papers will definitely give free coverage for a benefit.
Enough, Bob Evans, with your friggen' ego trip. Just shut up and help get people to this event!
