Well, I'm only familiar with PGW and DPW, which I am not sure of the status of right now. Apples and oranges though - both good in very different ways. If you have kids who like wrestling - PGW is the way to go. Something for everyone and a very family oriented wrestling show with some top talent as well as some bright young up and comers like LUkas Sharp, Andy Sweet, BMT, Jason Snyper just to name a few. They also use Frankie Arion, Jason Blade and of course our beloved Kurt Adonis. DPW also was using some great young stars like Chris Mooch and Savin Lenoard. Just not a family oriented show (sorry Mike). We still go - our son is older so it doesn't bother me. Just not the place for a 6 or 7 year old. I'm not familiar with the other CT companies. But you have two very good, but very different ones in PGW and DPW.

Ok, here ya go..

WCWA..I went to a couple of their shows, and thought they had weak talent, and booking issues, but also some solid talent too, but need better direction and a plan of how they want to run, and if they want to be "serious"

PGW. solid promotion that continues to improve IMO all the time. They run a good storyline driven promotion, that tries to bring in new talent to keep things fresh.

DPW. Mike's promotion was unique, not for everyone, and at times recycled angles/storylines, but had a "niche" fanbase who really enjoyed them

EPW. CT's most long running and most consistent show. I say CT, because they run regular in CT. Solid well trained workers on every show.

NEW..Again, not based in CT, but regularly run. "Casual show" geared more toward a WWEish crowd, than marks. Fills the void for those wanting huge names, and autograph chances.

What else runs in CT? So, thats that. I dont think anything sucks. WCWA has to get a change in their show philosophy, and slightly better experienced talent. Otherwise. theres enough for everyone, plus you have ROH w their unique type shows that are mark oriented, and CT fans have no right to bitch..Plus, if they do, I cant go there, or there, just take a little ride to Mass or NY/NJ depending, and theres plenty.

Well, I never bitch about wrestling in CT. Sorry I forgot to mention EPW - I did go to a show back in March and liked it a lot. Would like to get up to MA to a show though.

NOBODY mentioned YOU in particular, to my knowledge. Rolling Eyes

Thusly, IMO at least, the shows have their ups and downs, as they do in Any state, anywhere. So, the topic starter probably won't get the "under the bus" answer he's hoping for.

Well, the implication that if you don't like the shows in CT go up to MA seemed meant for me since I've been wanting to get up there for like 3 years now. You are right about the shows anywhere. Every state has their problems and no, fed, certainly not even the WWE, can please all of the people all of the time.

I heard they ran a few shows, that didn't draw a lot, and other than Matt Turner and maybe one or two others, had mostly their own students. I haven't heard anything bout them in quite some time.

lets see,
PGW=SOS
DPW=SOS
NEW, great for family gatherings
MXW, was good until the owner put it up his nose
WCWA, if i wanted to see backyard wrestlers, i would have bought the backyard wrestling DVD's
EPW, never went to a show but i have heard great things about them, when is the next show

But i would like to see ACW make a comeback, they where some kick ass shows at riders cafe in the dirty water. hey ghost, how about them $1 beers, hahaha.

Not by name but he didn't have too. I admit I can't get to the shows in MA but w/e. Sorry if he didn't mean me. I do want to get up to MA before the end of the year.

Maybe he means it needs help. LIke if somebody stranded on a beach writes SOS. But I don't agree - PGW is doing just fine. DPW - well hope to hear good news soon.
