HHH for me. He is still money, and be him heel or face, always draws a reaction. Plus, his promos are excellent, and hes always entertaining, to me at least.
He may not be the best technical wrestler of the group u named Steve, but that isnt always the be all and end all. |

Well, I voted for HHH, though I like CM Punk alot. HHH can draw and get a reaction either as a heel or face. Based on wrestling skills, how he can work a crowd and promo skills, I think he's the best of the ones you mentioned. Give CM Punk some time though. |

Punk - Not getting a huge crowd reaction both times ive seen him. He should be getting more cheers then Batista. He isnt world champ material, but, im sure its helping his career.
Kofi - Sloppy last 2 matches w/ Burchill, and, isnt getting the crowd reaction, though, ther reaction is equal to punks... says a lot about those 2 as champ. The IC title is a perfect belt for a kofi or punk.
HHH - The roar was DEAFENING saturday night for him. He still draws numbers.
Mark Henry - Great heel champ. He gets a good heel reaction too.
Shelton - I guess he won it at the PPV.... hes always deserved a shot, he is "gold".
Joe - If he can beat booker t cleanly, he would be more reputable. I felt he was a solid champ, but, a guy like Christian Cage, Abyss, Angle would be much better as champ.
Nigel - Dont like him, at all. I wish he wasnt on ROH shows. Id like to see him drop the title to ANYONE. |
The heat is on in the Cutlass 08 Tour
10/18 - NEW in Washingtonville, NY
10/24 - ROH in Danbury, CT
10/26 - Killer Kowalski Memorial Show in Malden, MA
11/15 - JAPW Jersey City, NJ
11/16 - CHIKARA in Wallingford, CT
12/5 - PGW in East Haven, CT
12/13 - JAPW in Rahway, NJ

Samoa Joe so far. Kofi Kingston could have a good reign I think, the Burchill feud is a good start. |

Punk to me is very generic w limited charisma, but he's a "fresh face", which is something WWE may look at. But will Vince let him "take the ball and run with it" or fumble it to JBL or someone. I personally like JBL, but from a business standpoint, I don't think its wise to put the belt on him for long. |

I go with Nigel just for the fact that he has beaten numerous talented individuals during his reign as champ.he's beaten Aries more than once,Strong,Dragon,Steen,Claudio and on. the way things are going for Cookie Monster right now i think people will look back and say Rey Mysterio had a better run as champ. |

Regarding Punk...
For a couple weeks, I thought WWE did everything they could to give Punk every fan-favorite advantage as champion. But I think that with smaller guys (Punk & Kingston) as champions, WWE should have changed direction with the company and focussed on the smaller guys as the most exciting aspect of the business. The huge steroid freaks like Batista and Cena will be popular no matter what. That doesn't mean they always have to have a belt or be in title contention. Push the smaller, faster guys as the legitimate title holders and contenders, and leave your freaks for a role like 911 in the original ECW. Use the big men as scary enforcers.
For the last couple weeks, Punk has looked weak in the situations they've put him in. I'm not sure if it's his fault or not. But I say shake up the WWE and push the smaller, lighter guys. And put the giants in enforcer roles. |

I think WWE did everything they could to get people to accept Punk within the WWE culture, instead of changing the WWE culture into a better place where punk would be accepted. |

On the other hand, Shawn Micheals and Bret Hart made careers out of being smaller than giants like Sid, Kevin Nash, Yokozuna and others. They fought from an underdog position and got over defying the odds. Sure...the wrestling was good, but that was more of a bonus than the main point.
At 5'10" myself, I don't always like admitting that the bigger guys are easier to push due to the credibility sheer size provides...but that's the way it is. Boil it down to reality and consider this: in a bar fight, who are you going to bet on; the guy you just saw do a back flip off a bar stool or some big ugly fuck with some broken teeth, visible scars and crossed eyes? Hey...I can appreciate the enormous amounts of skill, talents and sheer guts some gymnasts display, but if they get liquored up in the Olympic village and shit goes down between the Panamanian gymnastic team and the powerlifting squad from Belarus...I think it's easy to pick a winner.
Guys and gals with more working knowledge of how hard a smaller guy has to work to get over tend to appreciate the effort and the talent that goes into the smaller guy keeping up. The problem is, the other 94% of the audience watches it and say, "God damn. That's one big mother fucker". I wish it wasn't so from a personal standpoint, but that's life.

I think Joe being saddled with Nash has dampened my enthusiasm for his reign. the total focus should be on Joe. they should be feeding lesser guys like Bg,Kip,Rellik(before his release) to him in squashes to make Joe look dominant. |
