Source: TheSun.co.uk

The Sun out of the UK is reporting a close friend of Mick Foley has informed them that the hardcore icon is headed to TNA Wrestling when his WWE contract expires on September 1st.

Foley’s friend told the Sun, “Mick's body cannot handle a full time schedule, even in TNA. But he's hell bent on doing everything he can to further his legacy and put them on the map.

The friend added, "Mick's plan is to wrestle select dates, like Sting currently does. He feels he will legitimately make a big difference in the way TNA Wrestling is perceived by the public!”

Back in 2005, Foley was in talks wih TNA and was very close to signing with the company before he wound up back in WWE. He did not work this week's SmackDown! tapings.

OK, this would probably be the BEST move TNA has made in a long time. Foley to TNA would be nothing but good for the company. Foley has die hard fans that will probably turn to TNA to watch him and there are a TON of matches that can draw with Foley.Foley vs. Joe at Bound For Glory would be a HUGE draw ( TNA huge, not 1,000,000 buys huge) and a match I would pay to see, along with Foley vs. Styles, Foley vs. Angle, AND Foley vs. Sting.

I just want to see him take over the commentary booth and give us someone different to listen to.

I think if Foley was TNA's janitor, it would still make them better at this point!

I'd rather watch 2 hours of Mick Foley picking up garbage, than that crap.

BBBBBWWWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!

Kann mir bitte wer sagen von wann diese Storyline der WWE stammt und um was es dabei genau ging?

Booker T as the janitor and Mick Foley as his boss would be more entertaining...

Yet another disgruntled WWE worker that wants to work less dates in the ring who is past his prime.

I don't see him going into the booth if he heads to TNA, they want to pay him a big contract and work in the ring.

TNA needs to stop bleeding money and start making money! If they want to be around in 10 - 20 years they gotta stop getting people that wont help them out ratings/buy rate wise.

Jim Duggan as janitor was awful....

Foley in TNA? Honestly, id love to see him and abyss do something. TNA uses Abyss like crap and him and foley could complement each other well.

The final journey or just the beginning?

12/5 - PGW in East Haven, CT
12/6 - NEW in Waterbury, CT
12/13 - JAPW in Rahway, NJ
12/14 - CHIKARA in Philadelphia, PA
12/26 & 27 - Final Battle Weekend (tent)

Sabu and Foley was done already anyway and it was at the time where they were both in their prime. Foley and Abyss would be a modern day Foley and Norman the Lunatic. Great stuff would come from that

The Foley vs Joe feud in ROH was a snoozefest and a debacle, and it didn't draw any bigger numbers than what they were already averaging; I don't see it being any better in TNA.

So much flesh...so little time.

TNA is putting itself in the same position WCW did, signing older guys who left Vince, sticking them in the main event picture "because they'll draw", and neglecting its own younger talent. Foley shouldn't be getting in the ring to do anything except talk unless he wants to spend his later years in a wheelchair dealing with degenerative joint problems. I understand he idolizes Terry Funk and wants to keep going like he did, but the Funker is in a bad place physically and I don't think he'd want Mick to join him there.

Signing Foley won't pop PPV buys if their free product still sucks, and with their current path, that isn't changing.

Less drama, more wrestling, please.

Yup and everyone they have signed has yet to "stick it to Vince". They're nothing with out WWE when they are in TNA's house. People seem not to care once they're gone, cause every name player they have brought into TNA the ratings stay the same.... 1.0 average.

At least WCW was a viable number two organization, unlike TNA. It seems only a small portion cares about them. Not sure how Panda has even stayed on board spending all this money for the same results day in and day out.

I didn't say they were the same I said the feud could be compared. Ala Bam Bam/Vader meets Stan Hansen/Vader

How could you compare a feud of Norman vs Foley to Foley vs Abyss when Foley vs Abyss hasn't even happened yet
