So im a bit confused....i try and look for pro wrestling unplugged website, and cannot find it, yet, they still have a myspace with the PWU name. Yet, PWU promotes shows under the names "Wrestle Reality" and also "Devistation Wrestling Federation" so... are they all the same company? 3 Different ones? Does "PWU" still hold shows in Philly?

Devastation inc is the traning school. They dont have a websit. If you go to wrestle reality it should have all the info on PWU. Yea I know real confusing but I guess you have to consider the source.

I believe this Devastation Wresting Federation still runs shows at their training school in southern New Jersey...but I forget what town it's in. Was this DWF the same promotion that King Kong Bundy owned at one time?

Oh god, this is a confusing one to explain...let's hope I get this right. If not, this is close to right.

PWU planned on changing their name to Wrestle Reality when they were kicked out of the ECW Arena and moved up north by the venue ROH runs (the gym behind Chickie's and Pete's on Roosevelt). Then they realized "Shit, this is a horrible idea because people in Philly actually know the PWU name" and decided to go back to using PWU, but still sometimes using Wrestle Reality. The MySpace is their only website right now, which I'm sure has to do with the fact that they don't have to pay hosting for it. Always helps to have free utilities at hand.

Devastation comes in because DWF and PWU started working together because DWF have this HORRIBLE online "TV" gimmick where PWU can air their stuff online. I think the URL is http://tvbydemand.com or something similar, not too hard to find via Google. Not the same promotion, but they work together.

Why you would want to know all of this anyway, I have no idea. Out of all of the SEPA indies, PWU is by far the worst. You already check out CHIKARA, if you're curious about anything else, go check out CZW (really fun shows despite their reputation), Velocity Pro (run by the New Alhambra, has sort of become what PWU was a couple years ago as far as being a mixtape of Philly indies), or whatever else you can find. Steer clear of PWU if you're actually thinking about checking them out.

Why, has PWU gone to hell? Kaz and I attended a couple of their shows couple years plus back, and enjoyed it. They had Trent, Kashmere, Devon Moore and that crew, plus brought some "names in" too, like Cide and Fallen Angel.

Eh, it's certainly not what it used to be. Trent's in jail finding Jesus, Kashmere's fallen off big time, Devon Moore's still doing his thing well (I've never been a huge fan of his but I understand his appeal). Rest of the card is filled up with guys like Sandman, SAT, Rockin Rebel and a bunch of the low-end NJ/PA dudes. It's certainly not the worst in the world, and they do have some class talent booked (NJ All Stars and John McChesney come to mind), but nowhere near as good as it used to be.

I saw PWU twice... 2005 and 2006 I believe.... both very solid and very good shows. Why did they get kicked out of the arena?

Im curious as i get updates from them, and they still use all 3 names. Its very confusing!

Well, there's also the rumor that Kashmere was busted in the Arena bathrooms participating in oral sex with another dude, so that could also be a problem there.

Like I said, for PWU. Those other companies have people running them who are trusted by the New Alhambra management. Tod Gordon was also trusted by said management. Apparently whoever runs PWU now is not.

I think I can answer and its not as complicated as people are making it out to be. WrestleReality is PWU, Devastation Wrestling and Loco along with TVByDemand. For the time being http://www.wrestlereality.com is the PWU website.

Devastation Wrestling Fed is the same fed that was once owned by King Kong Bundy. He sold it to its current owner Doc Diamond. We are located right over the bridge in Pennsauken New Jersey. 2309 Haddonfield/ Sorrell road.
