I was in Easton once. They have a rotary/roundabout with a traffic light. Strangest thing I ever saw.

But cool they found a new place near the Allentown area.

Odd, theres a rotory with a traffic light near a diner kim, jen, john and i went to after a chikara show in jersey too.

Just for the sake of detail, this venue isn't exactly in Easton, but in the suburb of Palmer Township. It's actually a really nice area and a nice looking building, and everything I've heard is that it's great for wrestling. Should be a big thumbs up.

Oh, and hey, Vin Gerard and Ultimo Breakfast added to the talent pool for La Loteria.

BUNCHA STUFF HAPPENED AND I'VE BEEN TOO LAZY TO TALK ABOUT IT ON THE HAMMER. Regardless, here's the latest.

"La Loteria Letal" has been confirmed as a tag tournament for a new team to embark on the quest for three points. The first two rounds will take place in Easton, with the finals presumably taking place the following night in Philadelphia at "Style and Substance". The winners of the tournament will then have managed to rack up the three points necessary for a title shot - when they choose to cash that in, no one knows. Added to the tournament over the weekend were Lince Dorado, Claudio Castagnoli, and the mini man-monster himself, Hydra.

Also, in the midst of the mayhem that was the post-match brawl between Claudio Castagnoli and Brodie Lee on this past Sunday's "Vanity and Violence" event (soon to be available at SmartMarkVideo.com - cheap plug!), CHIKARA Director of Fun Leonard F. Chikarason came out and announced that we'll be seeing a first in CHIKARA - a STEEL CAGE MATCH! What will happen when the two giants of CHIKARA battle it out in the confines of the steel cage?

The other big question coming out of this weekend: what's up with the resurgence of the Super Smash Bros.? Last month, following their loss with The Colony to Team FIST and the Osirian Portal, Player Uno gave his tag team compadre Stupefied a box...a box that turned Stup into the new and improved Player Dos! Now with the full power of the Nintendo Entertainment System on their side, the Smash Bros. managed to rack up two points over the weekend - defeating The Osirian Portal in Reading and Team FIST in Philadelphia. Now they face their toughest challenge yet in The Fabulous Two on September 7th in Philadelphia. Will everyone's favorite gaming duo manage to overcome the odds and finally get that Campeonatos de Parejas shot that they've been striving for all of 2008? Find out at "Style and Substance"!

I wish Chikara would come around my area. Sounds like some great shows though. Amazing superstars and match ups.

"La Loteria Letal" gets more interesting as the days go on. Added to the mix today is none other than the Sweet n' Sour himself, Larry Sweeney! Could we see him teamed up with recent enemy Brodie Lee? Perhaps an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" union with Claudio Castagnoli? We'll find out in Easton!

Philly's not left out of the mix today, as Jimmy Olsen sees himself opposite CHIKARA's militant mat mite Soldier Ant at "Style and Substance"! Just this past weekend, Jimmy found himself opposite the other two members of The Colony, unmasking Fire Ant for a disqualification loss and nearly doing the same to Worker Ant before pinning him. What is Jimmy looking for under these masks? Perhaps we'll find out in September!

I'm liking the mask. It's a twist on Mister Zero's look, and anything that references Mister Zero is all right with me, even if it is Shane Storm, his former Men at Work partner.

I almost died when Gerard yelled at him to TRANSFORM! So obvious, yet subtle.

"La Loteria Letal" adds Jimmy Olsen and Tim Donst to the mix of random wrestlers. Also, a relevos atomicos has been added, as Hallowicked reunites with old friends The Colony for the first time since their union in March of 2007 as they take on the recent tag alliance of The Osirian Portal and Team FIST (represented by Gran Akuma and Chuck Taylor).

Meanwhile...hey, what's that third member of FIST doing, that Icarus guy? Nobody knows on Saturday night - perhaps he'll be in the Loteria Letal, perhaps he'll just spend the night hitting on women of all sorts in disturbing fashions as only he can. Whatever he's up to, he better be prepared for Sunday's Style and Substance, as he'll be taking on Larry Sweeney, who makes his return to the ring for the first time since June where he was abandoned by young Mitch Ryder.

This has been quite the year for appearances in CHIKARA. We've seen the return of Demolition on their comeback tour. One Man Gang and Glacier dropped in as well over King of Trios weekend. Lucha legend Jorge "Skayde" Rivera poked his head in for a special return in May. However, there's one CHIKARA alum that made his way to the WWE that just saw his run there end (and no, we're not talking about Dr. Cheung and his developmental contract) - Colin D. Olsen is making his CHIKARA return to participate in "La Loteria Letal"! Rumor has it that Colin's used his big Stamford paychecks to slip a little extra money to Commissioner Dave Coulier to ensure that Big Daddy V isn't also picked up off the unemployment line to compete in the Loteria.

The next night in Philadelphia, we see two teams that are fighting for their chance to enter Tag World Grand Prix 2008 (along with an all expenses paid trip to lovely Oberhausen, Germany, site of this year's tournament!). After much questioning about their status in the CHIKARA office, everyone's favorite Chikathletes Cheech and Cloudy try their hands at making it into the TWGP against The Osirian Portal! Cheech and Cloudy already have one win over the Egyptian duo after last October's "Bruised" event; will they be able to use that experience to obtain another victory, or will the Portal walk out with their heads high on the way to Germany?

Lastly, remember those Midwest shows that have been talked about but nothing's really been announced? That changes today with a rematch from the King of Trios 2008 tournament. The ever popular Soul Touchaz make their return to CHIKARA in their home city of Chicago, taking on the team that bumped them from the tournament back in March, Team FIST. No other way to put it - this should be awesome.

Well.... the Neo Solar Temple does have someone who may be able to take on a man such as Big Daddy V.

Have like, Crossbones pick on Hydra and just beat him up for a show or 2.... then Hydra says he had enough and is sick of being bullied. He says hes got someone bigger then Crossbones, but, the Temple just laughs. Our comes Big Daddy V and shows Crossbones who's boss.

But do we see Colin's return sort of just crash the angle with the Colony and Jimmy's attempt to unmask them?
