I can't believe I beat Superstar Steve to this. Obama has chosen Joe Biden as his VP pick. I like Joe Biden..when you guys can pry yourself away from more important matters (like the gimmick poster contest), I'd like to know what you think.

Joe Biden? That was a little unexpected. He's a well known guy, but my friends and I theorized he would've picked John Edwards (this was pre-extramarital child "scandal") or Bill Richardson.

But I do like Joe Biden. He represents a more "middle-of-the-field" that might win Obama some votes.

And I'm so glad he didn't give in to media pressure to select that two-faced phony, Hillary Clinton. It's not her policies or positions I necessarily hate, but her way of dealing with people and stating her opinions is evocative of Bush, yet more well-spoken.

I dont think its that big a surprise,he was on the short list for a while it seems. i dont think he owns alot of houses either.a quality pick IMO.

Biden would have had my vote in November. I don't know that this sways me to vote for Obama. I almost wish the ticket was flipped.

What our current administration shows is that it doesn't matter if you're a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Green or Whig party member as much as if you're a corrupt, morally bankrupt pack of criminals. I find it somewhat amusing I take heat for being an atheist sometimes, but God’s pre-ordained pick for President fucked us so hard…amen.

The sad part is, the Bush-ites have killed off the few promising members of their group (Condi Lisa Rice comes to mind) with their efforts.

All that being said...everyone should read the latest copy of Newsweek. The cover story-"What Bush Got Right". It's an interesting read, and shows that complete reversal of current policy might not be the wisest of ideas. Then again...it's hard to think of anything else besides the moronic sacrifice of our troops to a non-existent, invented cause that most likely should have led to impeachment for the second President in a row.

I'm going to assume your on the terrorist slant because of Obama's relationship with William Ayres of the Weathermen.

I'm not an Obama fan and I'm not voting for him...but not because of that. When I was in High School, I was buddies with a guy who's family turned out to be tied up in something called Posse' Comatatus (hope I spelled it right; my Latin is worse than my English). I believe it means roughly "the People's Militia" in English. They were a militia group of right wing groups who REALLY hated Jewish people. To them, they were "Zionist Masters" of the world banking system. Some of their literature was downright frightening and from some of the stuff I saw...so was their arsenal.

That's one of the guys I grew up with. I would hope people would judge me on my own merits and shortcomings and not on a friendship I had when I was young.

I'm not one to get into political debates, but isn't it a fact that Obama's father's religion is that of the Muslim terrorists? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I apologize if my earlier post rubbed some of you the wrong way, but I simply do not like either candidtate for President. I didn't vote for the Democrat or Republican candidates the last time...and I'm not voting for either of them this time. I think I will have to write in Captain Morgan or Jack Daniels as my candidate.

first off, his father's religion is his father's religion, not his. secondly only a complete ignoramus believes that being a muslim makes you a terrorist. they arent one in the same you know? thats like saying anyone who is catholic is a child molestor. seriously take your racist and bigoted options elsewhere unless you want us to point out what a fool you sound like. calling you ignorant is no cop out, its the truth and both embarrassing and sad that people in this day and age are so closed minded
