"Summer Showdown"
Fairhaven VFW
8/22/2008
The show opened with a tribute to VFW and ACW friend, Mike Wolfe, who passed away sadly after the last show.
H-Dawg McGraw w/Kevin Castro came to the ring first and once again made an open challenge. From behind the curtain, a sexy leg of one of the Bikini Contest contestants called McGraw over. From behind the curtain, "East Coast Intensity" Jose Perez surprised McGraw with a fist to the face, answering McGraw's open challenge.
H-Dawg McGraw w/Kevin Castro def. "East Coast Intensity" Jose Perez after Nero came to the ring while the ref was distracted and hit the TTS.
"Sports Illustrated Legend" Robbie Ellis def. Raging Bull in a match that included Ellis hitting a cross body to the outside.
"Reflex" Eric Dylan def. Gene Joseph in a "First Blood" Match. This match saw Dylan piledrive Joseph onto a computer to bust Joseph open. After the match Joseph and "Thunder from Down Under" Michael Foster attacked Dylan.
"Sweet" Scott Ashworth def. "Hilite" Davey Cash w/Kevin Castro & H-Dawg McGraw when interference from Castro and McGraw backfired. After the match Castro and McGraw turned on Cash.
"Franchise" Brian Sire, Thorne & Linzi Devine def. Iraqnid, Redemption & Kelly Brooks when Sire hit Iraqnid with a guitar.
"Superstar" Shawn Candido def. "Blockbuster" Rob Hagan in an "I Quit" Match when Candido used a barb-wire baseball bat in a Camel Clutch to make Hagan quit.
Kelly Brooks won the second annual ACW Bikini Contest for $100 cash prize. After the contest Redemption cleared the ring of an unwanted contestant and then danced with all the female contestants.
ACW Cruiserweight Champion Matt Magnum and Matt Taven went to a draw when Bloodstone interfered in the match and attacked both men.
Nero w/Kevin Castro def. "The Heat" Kris Pyro with the TTS. This match saw interference from both McGraw, helping Nero, and Davey Cash helping Pyro.
"Sensational" Scott Levesque def. Brickhouse Baker, with his feet on the ropes, to become the new ACW Champion. Rob Hagan came to the ring to distract Baker allowing Levesque to get the tainted victory. Levesque's celebration and reign was short-lived though. Scott Ashworth came to ringside to check on his tag team partner, only to tell ACW ref Tom Gette that he was cashing in his title shot that he won at "Deadly Encounter 4" and caught Levesque off guard with a DDT to become the new ACW Champion!!!
ACW returns to the Fairhaven VFW on Friday night September 12th. |

I know I said I would never post here, but because YOU (you know who you are too) were caught talking trash about me, I decided I would no longer keep my promise to you. So go ahead and tell everyone who I am, I dont care.
1) H-Dawg mcGraw and Jose Perez was a bad match. Just another old TRP guy going over on a talent like Jose.
2) Robbie Ellis and Raging Bull are prime examples of two guys who dont belong in the ring together. And the crowd laughed the ENTIRE time.
3) Eric Dylan and Gene Joseph was alright. Eric Dylan was the only good thing about this match. He is bar none the best performer in ACW and New England.
4) Scott Ashworth and Hilite Kid was very good. Cant say anything bad about either guy.
5) Sire, Thorne and Linzi finally got a win over Redemption, Iraqnid and Kelly Brooks. I couldnt tell the different between iraqnid and redemption, as DB has gained so much weight and he thinks hes a good worker cuz his dad is. Your not, so stop talking trash.
6) Shawn Candido and Rob Hagan was alright. Obviously the booker took the time to put himself over. Go back to yankee., ACW was better without ya.
7) The two Matt's battled to a time limit. They think they're good but they both stink. One looks like a kid and the other looks like a girl. yeah, real cool.
8) Nero and Kris Pyro was a great main event. Nero is basically New Englands version of Randy Orton.
9) Finally an ACW original comes out on top and gets the gold from brickhouse, no offense. Baker has done a lot to build ACW up. But then they go and take the belt off him only to put it on Scott Ashworth. Shouldve kept it on Scott Levesque. Looks like someone has been watching a rerun of the royal rumble. |

I was caught trash talking? I don't even know who you are first off. You have done nothing but hide. Yeah I have been slacking on the working out. Shit happens. But, as for thinking I am a great wrestler deal that you have been saying. That I am not. I work hard. I train every week that is possible. So, just keep your comments to yourself. How can I get caught talking shit, when I don't talk to ANYONE. Keep up the good work Mr. Detective. I will most likely be seeing you soon. As you will be a fake liar to my face.

I beg to differ. As for a guilty conscience, i do not have one. You just seem to accuse me of trash talking. |

I would love to watch a legit shoot fight on a wrestling show. That would be so entertaining. If we're going to continue to kill the business we might as well do it the right way. Besides from the sounds of it Mayor McCheese is nothing but a pussy anyway. Just another bitter person on the hammer who is jealous of others people's recognition |

WTF MAYOR MC QUEER BOY....I THOUGHT YOU DROPPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH, BUT I GUESS YOU DISGUISED YOURSELF AS THE SHIT ON THE BOTTOM OF SOMEONE'S SHOE. IF YOU ARE SO SURE OF YOURSELF AND YOUR TENACITY, THEN AT THE NEXT ACW SHOW REVEAL YOURSELF TO EVERYONE AND THEN WE WILL SEE WHO HOLDS THE POWER |
I MAY NOT BE A PICTURE PERFECT PERSON, BUT GET IN MY WAY, OR TRY TO KNOCK ME DOWN, AND I WILL PICTURE PERFECT KICK YOUR A$$

If he does reveal himself it seem that he'd have a bunch of unhappy guys to deal with, and from what ive seen sees to much of a pussy to do so. |

DB, although you are a fat slob, and you do talk a lot of crap because I have been there and overheard you, I wasn't referencing you in the beginning of my post.
ACW was so much better when it was about a bunch of friends having fun, and not about crappy yankee guys who couldnt make it in top rope. All of us original ACW guys have a chckle sometimes because the truth is, we are using all the old yankee guys that we used to laugh at while we sat front row at the old pal shows.
So you sit there and call me a chicken. I am anything but a chicken. So you want to call me out at the next ACW show. Go right ahead. I haven't ever missed an ACW show, so you can bet I will be there. In fact I dare you to call me out. But when all of us old ACW guys align to give you guys the big ole "screw yourself" dont be surprised.

So, that means you support a "promotion" using a bunch of untrained yardtards? If so, you must be one of the yardtards in question.
At first, you defended ACW and shit on TRP. Shortly after, you hated ACW and talk shit about them. Now you're back to being the biggest ACW advocate on here. Make up your fucking worthless mind already. Either you like them or you don't. At least you can stick with your opinion about TRP. Either way, just let them do their thing. I'm sure the ACW folks they are doing things the right way. Good for them. I'm sure ACW will survive and go on with the show without your presence at the Fairhaven VFW Hall. From what I've read recently, I can assume your presence at their shows is not welcome or necessary. |

Shut up ShawnO, you dont even know what youre talkiing about. ACW was around long before you started showing up to shows. You know nothing about this business except the smell of butt, because thats all you kiss.
For your information, yes i was the biggest advocate of ace at first, because we all hated top rope and wanted to beat them. then that has been booker wanted to come on here and play the innocent card and say acw never said anything like that. So all those old top rope guys who talked trash and now dont want to live up to it made me look like an idiot.
I am an advocate for the orginal acw. the acw that was about having fun and being with friends and not taking ourselves seriuosly. that was a good time. now its a bunch of guys who couldnt hack it in legit promtions, and with a couple of the originals in the mix.
We were the backbone, and were tossed aside when the new old guys came in. So yeah I have a reason to be pissed.
Oh and now you have all these guys walking around backstage, with some exceptions, like theyre the best wrestler ever. DB is one of those guys and i called him out on it. Yea, i may be nice to your face, but inside youre just a hack, like the rest.
Cant u guys go work for the other backyard feds and leave ACW alone. Or go get good and work for legit feds, and let us have our group back. |

It's been a while since I attended an ACW show, and overall I really enjoyed it. Here are my thoughts:
The opening contest was between two good workers who appeared to not be on the same page. It happens sometimes. It started with Kevin Castro issuing a challenge to anyone in the back, and it appeared to be two young ladies waving H-Dawg to the curtain, but it turned out to be Jose Perez waiting for him on the other side. H-Dawg and Jose Perez battled for a bit and eventually H-Dawg got the win.
"The Sports Illustrated Legend" Robbie Ellis and Raging Bull was a bit sloppy, but you can't hate on Robbie Ellis who picked up the win in a fairly short match.
Eric Dylan came out in his street fight clothes to take on Gene Joseph in a "First Blood" match. Haven't seen much of Gene but this one was kind of "eh". It appeared that Eric Dylan actually bled first, but it must have been by accident because he ended up winning. Some good action here, as the crowd was pretty into it.
Good ol' Sweet Scott Ashworth and Davey Kash was a very good match. They didn't go over the top or try to do too much, it was just a good singles match, as you would expect from these two. The ending came with Ashworth winning after failed interference from H-Dawg and Kevin Castro (Who is VERY funny by the way). I swear the whole dancing routine never gets old, and Ashworth is super over with the crowd.
I'm not too familiar with the team of Brian Sire, Thorne and Lindsay Devine but they picked up the win on Iraqnid, Reverand Redemption and Kelly Brooks. (Did you really call Iraqnid fat? He's nothing of the sort, but hey that's your opinion haha). This was a pretty good match too, with Sire nailing Iraqnid with a plastic(?) guitar.
I believe the bikini contest was next? Either way it was hilarious because of Castro, if he wasn't there then the crowd would have lost interest. I'm pretty sure Kelly Brooks won, and in the end all the ladies ended up dancing with Redemption. Oh and also a rather large man came out as well, not too sure who he was but the crowd hated him.
Next up was the "I Quit" match between Shawn Candido and Rob Hagan that was plain brutal. It involved a table, ladder, barb-wired baseball bat and many other hardcore goodies. A very entertaining match that the crowd ate up. One thing that got everyone on their feet was Candido crashing through a table off the ladder crushing Rob Hagan in the process. The ending came with Candido getting Hagan in a camel clutch with the barb-wire and forcing him to scream "I Quit", good ending. After the match the crowd heckled Hagan with chants of "You QUIT!"
The next match was Matt Taven vs Matt Magnum for the cruiserweight title. I thought this was a really good match with two young wrestlers going back and forth with some good action. Haven't seen Taven before so he was a new face to me. A very nice spot in this match was Magnum bouncing off the second rope only to get nailed in mid-air with a superkick from Taven. The ending came with Lil Nicky Amaral from NECW running out and attacking both competitors. I take it that he goes by the name Bloodstone at ACW?
Up next was the match that seemed to be the most anticipated, and for good reason. It was Nero vs Kris Pyro, and the crowd was hot the entire time. Pyro came out to a thunderous face ovation and Nero had the most heat out of anyone. This match was filled with stiff brawling and great action. IT really seemed like these two wanted to kill each other. Outside interference from Davey Kash and H-Dawg made this one crazy, and Nero ended up picking up a cheap win, much to the dismay of the crowd. Hopefully this leads to some type of tag team match or fatal 4-way because the crowd ate this up more than anything.
And the main event of the evening was Brickhouse Baker defending his championship against "Sensational" Scott Leveque. This was a good old school match with an even better swerve. Leveque ended up winning the title, but then Scott Ashworth came in and cashed in his title opportunity that I assume he won at a previous show, and pinned Leveque to become the new ACW Champion.
Overall I thought this was a very fun show with alot of entertaining matches. They had a good crowd that was hot the entire night, and they even have a little "guide" on every seat to catch you up on all the storylines and feuds, which was a very nice touch. I will surely be checking out another ACW show in the future.
Top 3 matches for me were:
Nero vs Kris Pyro- The energy itself made this one the most entertaining.
Shawn Candido vs Rob Hagan- Again, the crowd was really into this match and it was plain brutal, so it was definately very enjoyable.
Matt Taven vs Matt Magnum- Really liked this one, the crowd likes both guys and it was a good wrestling match.
Those are my thoughts, have fun reading them. |

Listen McCheese,
I try not to air my dirty laundry in public. For almost 2 years I've come to this site having to read what others have written about Alliance Championship Wrestling-some true and some not so true. I try to keep things Kayfabe. I never ever tried to register a username to retaliate or come to it's defense, until now.
Through all the crap over the years, all the smart marks calling us backyard or untrained, the bad reviews, you name it. YOU are causing the MOST damage to ACW right now. You are killing morale and causing dissension. You are stirring the shit because that's the only way you can gain notoriety. We are all feeding into it too, including myself. Bravo. You've become this thing-this reference that everyone uses. Your fifteen minutes are up, pal.
I'm proud and I take pride in the strides ACW has taken in the past 2 years. I've been part of this promotion since '04.
The original ACW sucked ass and that's coming from me a so-called original. How you can actually say acw was better when it was a bunch of friends pretending to be wrestlers?, blows my mind. Unless of course you were one of them?..and now you are bitter and have no other place to wrestle. Brother, I know you've been kind to me in your posts so far and I appreciate it but these rants are starting to piss me off.
I had fun wrestling my friends, of course...but things change. We had to evolve and weed out a lot of guys and bring in a booker who knew what he was doing. Which in turn, brought in a bunch of credible veterans to help get rid of the stigma and bad reputation we had.
Veterans like Ash, Brickhouse, Perez and Fuller were brought in to groom the rest of us. I am having the time of my life in ACW and I am perfectly happy with that backroom we have. Sure, we have other obstacles to overcome- like have shows outside of the Fairhaven VFW but over time hopefully we'll succeed in overcoming that also. I am ACW through and through, sure I work other promotions but ACW is my family.

Tony, you've really changed man. Youre a good wrestler but iam most disappointed in you. we always got along and shared the same view. that we were in it for fun. no egos, now youre a part of the locker room party. you really think youre learning a lot from half those guys. what can they teach you that u dont already know. all those guys with a couple exceptions, have never been anywhere but new bedford and fall river. who is anybody fooling. The best rosters in new england are NECW and Chaotic. ACW would be at the very very bottom of that list. Ask any legit worker if the guys youre being trained by are anything more than glorified backyarders? They'll all tell you they are.
Unlike all you guys, I dont fool myself. I am/was backyard. I was okay with that. Everybody there is backyard and with a huge ego. It sucks. |
