IWA-MS 12th Anniversary Show - RESULTS

Courtesy of the IWA-MS Board:

1. Trauma of the Soul Touchaz def. Nick Watts. Watts was a Canadian making his debut. Trauma was very impressive in just overpowering the smaller man and showing that he is a dominant force to be reckoned with in IWA.

2. Dysfunction def. Marco Cordova

3. Michael Elgin def. Prince Mustafa Ali w/ Kimberly Kash. Joey Eastman arranged for his good friend Kimberly Kash to be in Ali's corner and to help him out in this contest. Michael Elgin pulls out the victory with a new submission hold variation of a Dragon sleeper.

4. Brian Skyline def. Lionel Knight. Knight was another Canadian making his debut. He was a very impressive high flyer that was breaking out some good aerial offense. Skyline pulls out the victory though and then Jeff Brooks & Kid Hybrid run out and join Skyline in celebration in the ring. The three then start to put the boots to the Canadian. Nick Watts comes out to help his fellow Canadian but the Michigan Militia is too much for him especially after the damage he took from Trauma. Michael Elgin then runs in and saves Watts & Knight as the Michigan Militia decide to retreat and fight another day.

5. The Soul Touchaz (Marshe Rocket & Acid Jazz) def. Jason Hades & Troy Walters. Very good match that went back and forth until all hell broke loose towards the end. Soul Touchaz gain advantage and take turns doing double team moves to Walters and Hades. Marshe Rocket ends up pinning Jason Hades after one of the double team moves. After the match, Hades gets on the mic and gives kudos to the Soul Touchaz and says it would be an honor to defend his title against either one of them out of respect for them beating him in the tag match. Troy Walters gets pissed off and asks about a title shot for himself. Hades tells Troy that he has beaten him way too many times in other promotions and that Troy just isn't in his league or worthy of a title shot. Troy says "she was right when she told me that you were too scared to face me" and leaves. Hades blows it off and returns his attention to The Soul Touchaz. C Red runs and gets Ian and says lets make the match. Marshe & Jazz couldn't agree on who should get the title match so it was left up to the fans. Fans voted during intermission as Jazz and Rocket went around to everyone campaigning for votes. Acid Jazz won the vote by two votes and will face Jason Hades for the IWA Mid-South World Light Heavyweight Title next Saturday night in the debut show at the new IWA Arena.

6. Vito Thomaselli w/ Kimberly Kash def. Sal Thomaselli in the Chicago Street Fight. I was not able to see this one so I don't know what happened but I know that Kimberly got involved. A rematch for next week...Sal vs. Vito in a brass knuckles on a pole match and Kimberly is barred from the building. Perhaps someone else that was at the show can give some more details.

7. Necro Butcher def. Sami Callihan. Again I did not get to see this one either. Nick Maniwa said it was the match of the night. Maybe he will get on here and give more details to fill everyone in.

-Necro knocked Sami out cold with a punch. He was seriously KO'd, Necro tried picking him up for another move and Sami was limp. He layed there for a good 5-10 minutes after the match and was pretty pissed when he came to.

8. Dingo def. Drake Younger to retain the IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title. Very even match as both men were still showing the affects of last weekend's wars at TPI. Brawled all over the building and it appeared that Drake finally had the title won. He dropped Dingo with a sick looking inverted brainbuster but Dingo kicked out at the very last milisecond. Drake then set up a table at an angle in the middle of the ring and set Dingo up on the top rope. Drake then went up top as well and went for the Drake's Landing off the top thru the table. Dingo was able to kick his feet enough to go off balance and force Drake's bad knee from TPI to give way. Dingo then was able to spin on top of Drake as they went falling through the table and get the victory.

9. Corporal's Army def. Cult Fiction in the barbed wire madness match. Deranged & Toby come to the ring with Billy and wait to see who Corporal has. Corporal comes out by himself and Cult Fiction is giddy to see that Corporal doesn't have a partner. Corporal calls them dumbasses and said that he has a partner. You didn't know if I was going to go IWA or JCW but I did both. Ian Bloody then comes to the ring and the match is underway. About two minutes in to the match, Billy and Toby use half a roll of duct tape to tape Ian to the ringpost and Ian is out of the match as he can't get free from all the duct tape. Billy, Deranged and Toby then triple team Corporal for several minutes until Necro comes running out. Necro starts beating the hell out of Deranged and Billy is flipping out thinking that Necro was a member of Cult Fiction. Necro stays on Deranged while Toby and Corporal fight it out. Deranged is gashed horribly and losing a ton of blood. Necro and Toby stare each other down a couple of times but never come to blows during the match. Billy starts yelling at Toby to go after Necro. Toby gets a barbed wire tennis racket and ends up blasting Deranged with it. Deranged gets triple teamed by Corp, Necro & Toby and then Corporal hits boot camp through a barbed wire board and gets the pin on Deranged. Scar finally gets Ian cut away from the ringpost now that the ringside area is safe and Corporal is standing tall at the end of the night having pulled one over on Cult Fiction.

-Deranged suffered some sort of internal injuries I would say as he started to actually puke up blood during the match! It has got to be one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen.

Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South NEWS:

Saturday night, October 11th, 2008
New IWA Arena
16426 Cherry Creek Ct.
Joliet, IL 60432
Bell time: 7:30 pm
Tickets: $15 & $10

Directions - take I-80 to exit 134 (Briggs Street). Go south (right if heading east...left if heading west) until you get to the 4 way stop at Laraway Road (there's a Gas City gas station.)

Take a left onto Laraway. Pass the Sheriffs building and turn left onto the road there. Cherrry Creek Ct will be on the right before you get to the railroad tracks. Turn right and go all the way to the end of the road. The warehouse complex is where the Arena is at. Go into the parking lot for the warehouse and the arena is all the way to the end of the warehouse in the back.

IWA MId-South World Heavyweight TItle Match

Dingo vs. Jimmy Jacobs

Dingo prides himself on being a fighting champion and taking on all comers. Jimmy Jacobs' history with the IWA title needs no refreshing. He wants redemption and thinks the time is prime to defeat Dingo. Dingo has finally ended his war with Jaysin Strife but paid a costly price and then the rematch with Drake Younger took a lot out of him as well. Can Jimmy take the next step in his quest for redemption or will Dingo add another notch to his belt as a fighting champion?

IWA Mid-South World Light Heavyweight Title Match

Jason Hades vs. Acid Jazz

Brass Knuckles On A Pole Match - Kimberly Kash banned from building

Vito Thomaselli vs. Sal Thomaselli

Special Challenge Match

Prince Mustafa Ali vs. Chris Hero

Ali wants to make a splash and improve upon his momentum of good performances. He still needs that breakout victory and his solution is simple. Defeat the former franchise of the IWA...everyone's hero...Chris Hero. Hero has a target on his back by establishing himself as one of the best. Can he show why he was the franchise for IWA for so many years or will Ali get the victory he is so desperately seeking?

More to be added to this show.

Starting Tuesday, October 7th, 2008, we will start the first
enrollments into the Ian Rotten Wrestling Academy. The school will be
held on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and will be ran by Ian
Rotten. Female students are also strongly encouraged as well and will
be trained by Ian Rotten and Mickie Knuckles. Plus, we will feature
special seminars (like the one we already have set up with Chris
Hero). This will give you an opportunity to train and have an
automatic place to wrestle with one if the largest independent
promotions in the country after graduation.

For those of you that do not have the money to train, but want to
train right now with us, we also remind you that we do accept Visa and
Mastercard.

For more information, or for further inquiries, please contact Ian at
ianrotten420@aol.com.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chris Hero will be doing a seminar on Sunday Oct. 12 from 2 pm - 4 pm
for a cost of $30.

If you are an aspiring wrestler that wants to get better or even if
you are a fan that just wants to see an inside look at the business
you love and get a better understanding of what the wrestlers have to
go through, email rottenwife@aol.com to reserve your spot at this seminar.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In addition to this seminar we also are doing this:

Ladies and gentlemen,

Everyday I get several messages from aspiring wrestlers that want to
know how they can work for IWA Mid-South.

Well here is your answer and here is your big chance!!!!!

IWA Mid-South is opening a new building in the Chicagoland area that
we will be running weekly shows. Ian Rotten & Mickie Knuckles will
also be using the building to start training new trainees that want to
join IWA. If you want more information on the Ian Rotten Wrestling
Academy...email ianrotten420@aol.com

Also, we are going to be running a doubleshot on the weekend of
October 24th & October 25th.

This weekend is going to be an opportunity for all the wrestlers that
have emailed, messaged and asked to be on an IWA show.

The entire weekend is going to be tryout matches in an effort to
impress and EARN your way onto the IWA Mid-South roster.

If you are an aspiring wrestler that thinks they have what it takes to
EARN a spot then email ianrotten420@aol.com and provide a phone number
for him to get ahold of you and give you the details and see if you
want to try it.

Female wrestlers are also encouraged to give this a try just as much
as the men are encouraged.

Remember, email Ian at ianrotten420@aol.com and provide a phone number
where he can reach you to give you the details and let you know if you
can be on the IWA tryouts weekend.

Fans will be able to take in both nights of action for a total cost of
$20 for a two day pass...so if you live in the area and want to
tryout, it would benefit you to bring family and friends to cheer you
on and support you in your quest to join the IWA roster.

Hope to see some of you the weekend of October 24th & 25th.

2. Josh Raymond def. Lionel Knight

3. Marshe Rocket def. Troy Walters to earn an IWA-MS World Light Heavyweight Title shot at the Revolution Strong Style Tournament on Nov. 1st.

Very fun show, the last set of matches were awesome. Trik/Sal, Raymond/Knight, and Troy/Marshe were pretty fun matches as well. But Ali/Hero is one of my favorite matches I've seen this year.

David Taylor was at TPI. Against the advise of everyone who talked to him, he did not get paid in full up front. When he went to cash the check Ian wrote, it bounced.

I expect IWA to encourage their fans to buy more DVD's, t shirts, and meatball sammiches to help pay Taylor now that information was made public.

I love Sami Callihan. He's great fun to watch both wrestling and threatening to stab people and/or wear their face as a mask.

Less drama, more wrestling, please.

I have updated the lineups above for the DDT, SST and CC.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the IWA Board:

IAN ASKS A FAVOR.......

Ian knows better than anyone that we are in tough economic times , but Ian just got a call from Angie (Rollins wife). And unfortunately it is BAD news folks. The cancer has come back and apparently it is worse than ever.

So along with your prayers , Ian asks this of you. They are planning a fundraiser on October 24th for Rollin and his family. The cost for the building is about $400.00 , so Ian is going to put his $10.00 in . And he asks 39 fans to join him in paying for this hall, so that everything can be profit.

We at IWA would love to hand Angie this money as soon as possible, to get this unnecessary worry off of her mind. Plus, we will be posting more about this fundraiser (for the folks in the Louisville area or even if you want to make the trip here from out of town) . It is going to be a Halloween type party , there will be food , beer, music, etc... Prizes for costumes.

We will get more information to you when we get it. Keep watching the message board in the days to come.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We will no longer be accepting checks for anything at IWA. We will accept money orders, cashier checks, cash, Paypal and credit cards (Mastercard and Visa).

We apologize for this. If you have already sent a check for a dvd order as previously arranged, we will accept it this time.

thanks,Patti

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 2008 TPI is available . You can order it thru IWA or SmartMark Video. There will be copies available this weekend at the Double Death tournament.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday Oct 26th, 2008
Hartman Rec Center
511 N. Collins Street
Joliet, IL

Belltime: 4:30 pm; Doors Open at 4 pm
All tickets: $5 and only available at the door

This is the Bears bye week so you will not be missing any Bears action.

THE FANS IN ATTENDANCE DECIDE WHO COMES BACK

Ian won't decide. Mickie won't decide. Jim won't decide. It will be the fans that are there and watching the show that will decide who they want to see brought back for further matches in IWA.

There will be about 15 matches in total...all involving new people wanting a chance to impress and earn the chance to come back to IWA in the future.

We want a big crowd to be able to come out and watch this show (it'll end by 9 for those that have school & work the next day and thus the $5 tix) so the tryout performers have a good crowd to work in front of and so we can have plenty of feedback about who deserves to come back.

There are some guys that we have heard a lot about but just haven't had an opening to bring in yet so we think that there will be some very good matches to come from this show and some new talent to add to future shows.

We will release more information as the show draws nearer.

See you at the tryouts!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have just received notification via email that some people were thinking about trying to come to our shows and illegally record them to put them up on the INTERNET. I am going to warn everyone now that anyone thinking of doing this will have to deal with the Illinois State Police Officer that we now have at our shows. They will reward you the Grand Prize for this stupidity with a nice set of silver bracelets (handcuffs), and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Please, do not attempt this. You have been fully warned.

There will be signs up all over the building with the warning issued.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Mickie

2008 Double Death Tag Team Death Match Tournament - NIGHT ONE Results

No shows for this show were Ash, Kris Chambers and Colt Collins. Attendance was around 100.

Match 1: Was 4 corners of pain with light tubes on a wooden casing, hot sauce, salt, barb wire boards and mouse traps. Mad Man Pondo and Juggulator def. Mephisto and Joey Grunge. Joey Grunge was the biggest let down out of all the new guys, and for his sake it's a good thing he wasn't wearing a Public Enemy shirt.

Match 2: Ian Bloody and Lane Bloody def. Donny Peppercricket and Stephen Saint in a Fans Bring the Weapons match. Peppercricket and Saint really brought it, and got a HUGE please come back chant after the match.

Match 3: Devon Moore and Drake Younger def. Murder Inc. in a Loose Tubes Home Run Derby match. Murder Inc.'s manager gets the Mike Levy award for this tournament after she got a Drake's Landing(vertebreaker) through light tubes that were bridged between two chairs. She wasn't down for three seconds before she was outside the ring, cheering her team like nothing happened. Devon grabed her, dragged her back in the ring and gave her a normal looking powerbomb (so NO he didn't drop her on her head or stiff her or anything) and after the ref said something to her, she stayed down.

Match 4: "Beer n Tits!!!" - Viking & SeXXXy Eddy def. Elkview Adam and Freakshow in a Unlucky 13 Stairway to Hell match. Elkview took a bump into the most hellacious barbwire and light tube construction I've ever seen. This thing was a four foot high cube made from 2x4s with light tubes and barbwire bridging the top.

Match 5: "Gritz n Gravy" - "Canadian Crazy Horse" Michael Elgin and "The New Horror" Sami Callihan def. "The Michigan Militia" - Jeff Brooks & Kid Hybrid in TLC match. Watching Jeff Brooks out there, it's hard to believe he was trained by the same guy who trained the Naptown Dragons.

Match 6: Corporal Robinson and Tracy Smothers def. Chris Havius & Rob Tapp in a Dog Collar German Death Match. Where you had to soak a towel in the opponents blood for them to be eliminated. Tracy came out to Corps music and was wearing an ICP jersey. Tracy didn't bleed, but you can tell that he was busting his ass. I wasn't disappointed.

Match 7: "People Who Reside in Wisconsin" - Danny Havoc and Dysfunction def. K Train Kody Rice & Chase McCoy in a Taipei Death Match...one fist covered in broken glass...one fist covered in sandpaper.

MAIN EVENT:
Match 8: "Vulgar Display of Power" - Deranged & Brain Damage def. "Tough Crazy Bastards" - Necro Butcher & Toby Klein in a Fans Bring the Weapons match. It went over 25 mins and was match of the night for sure.

2008 Double Death Tag Team Death Match Tournament - NIGHT TWO

Quick Results:

Quarterfinal #1: "Deadly Under the Influence" - Drake Younger and Devon Moore def. "Cereal Killers" - Mad Man Pondo and Juggulator in a Barbed Wire Corners & Light Tube Ropes match.

Quarterfinal #2: "The Bloody Brothers" - Ian Bloody and Lane Blody def. "Grits N Gravy" - Michael Elgin and Sami Callihan in a Barbed Wire Madness match (Lane severely injured by the BW).

Quarterfinal #3: "VDOP" - Brain Damage and Deranged def. Tracy Smothers and Corporal Robinson in a Texas Death Match - Tracy was beaten to a bloody pulp and was going crazy in this match. Damage puts him down with a heart punch. Corp had accidentally hit Tracy to lead up to the heart punch. Pumphandle slam thru chairs on Corporal and Tracy hits Corporal with a chair as he was making it to his feet to keep him from answering the 10 count. Tracy pulls off the ICP jersey to expose his Cult Fiction tshirt and said that he's an old man and it took getting his ass kicked by VDOP to show him the lead that he should follow.

Quarterfinal #4: " Two People Who Currently Reside in Wisconsin" - Danny Havoc and Dysfunction def. "Beer & Tits" - SeXXXy Eddy and Viking in a Fans Bring the Weapons match.

Semi-Final #1: "DUI" - Drake Younger and Devon Moore def. Ian Rotten in a 4 Corners of Pain & Weapons match. (Lane had to forfeit due to injury) Insane Lane couldn't wrestle because he ruptured his testicle in the previous match, he was in some pain, leaving the show early with Freakshow.

Semi-Final #2: "VDOP" - Brain Damage and Deranged def. "People Reside in Wisconsin" - Danny Havoc and Dysfunction in a Fans Bring the Weapons match. Kinda of a squash but still fun as hell.

2008 DDT FINALS: "VDOP" - Brain Damage and Deranged def. "DUI" - Drake Younger and Devon Moore in a No Rope Barbed Wire, Caribbean Spiderweb & Light Tube Barbed Wire Coffin match. There is no rope barbwire on 2 sides of the ring and 2 sides are open. The 2 open sides had a 4 ft wooden crate with a a light tube top and barbwire net to catch the wrestlers. Deranged took a fall into this to be eliminated. Drake was eliminated by referee stoppage when Brain Damage ground n pounding him. Damage puts Moore through the other opened side contraption, a barbwire net on top of light tubes with a Michinoku driver.

2008 DDT Champions - "Vulgar Display of Power" Brain Damage and Deranged

"VDOP" are now in the Candido Cup vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdock in round 1.

IWA-MS November Pain - RESULTS

From the IWA Board:

Last night IWA held their "November Pain" show at the Hartman Rec Center in Joliet, IL in front of a crowd of 40 fans, about the same attendance as the . I will say, as much as it distresses me to see my favorite promotion draw so few fans to such an awesome show and as much as I hope to attract more fans to smaller shows like this in the future, there is nothing quite like the atmosphere at an IWA show where only 30 or 40 people turn out because a) everyone busts their ass in the ring somehow seemingly extra hard to make the show awesome in spite of the turn out and b) you've got 30 or 40 true hardcore respectful IWA fans doing their best to support their efforts. It's been said before and I'll say it again, it doesn't matter if there 500 fans or 15 at an IWA show, everyone is going to give it their all in the ring.

1. Bill the Butcher destroyed Adam Cole and Hardcore Harry

My first time seeing Bill the Butcher and, yeah, he's pretty awesome from look and gimmick alone. I'd love to see him in squash matches just like this early on the card till he firmly establishes himself and then put him against Necro or Brodie Lee for the obvious fun that would ensue. Harry stayed in the corner for most the match getting wailed on by Bill but Cole took a sick bump to the floor at one point. The Butcher eliminates both men one after another in a little under 5 minutes.

2. Michael Elgin defeated Trauma

As soon as Elgin's music hits everyone realizes Dingo's not here. Oh well. At least we're treated to a unique heavyweight battle. Both Elgin and Trauma are big men who can move and wrestle at an impressive pace for their size. Lots of great power moves from each man, Samoan Drops and spinebusters that shook the fucking ring something fierce. Another solid match from Elgin and definitely the most impressive Trauma match I've seen thusfar.

3. The Hooligans defeated Mike Rollins and Ash and the team of Joey Phoenix and Kyle Rich

The Hooligans look like a fun tag team and they showed some solid stiff offense in this one. Solid three-way to showcase some of the newcomers.

4. Sexy Slim Goody defeated Chris Riot

"The glorious IWA-MS debut of the athletically gifted, scultped adonis Sexy Slim Goody..." or more like "at least Dukes' titties aren't quite as big any more." Even in front of 40 fans Dukes gets solid heat from the IWA crowd just for showing up and talking. And he even does a nice moonsault to finish off Chris Riot.

5. DJ Hyde defeated Dysfunction

I've never seen a DJ Hyde match I enjoyed, but then again I've never really given him much of a chance. Regardless of the fact that this may have been the first full DJ Hyde match I've ever seen, it was definitely the best DJ Hyde match I've ever seen, mainly because I enjoyed Dys chopping and kicking the i have a fucking potty mouth out of Hyde for most of it. Hyde picks up the win and we have to sit through a first round match with him at SST in December. I hope Dys ends up in the tournament regardless of his loss. And as someone next to me said to Hyde, I hope he gets Trevor Murdock in the first round and gets knocked silly.

6. Jason Hades defeated Marshee Rockett tp retain the Lightweight Championship

Hades has been on absolute fire all year; his '08 IWA matches are as good as you'll ever see in pro wrestling out of someone with as little experience as he has. An IWA Lightweight Title match with Hades as champ is worth the price of admission alone and this match was no different. Marshe Rockett could easily blow up on the indies with a little more time in IWA. He moves so gracefully for his size, at one point in the match attempting a perfect swanton onto Hades but crashing hard on the canvas. Before the match, Marshe lets it be known that he's all business tonight and sends C-Red to the sidelines. This turned out to be a mistake for as good as Rockett looked, Hades controlled most of the match finally finishing him with the Killswitch to retain. However, Rockett got enough offensive moves in here and there to produce an intense, competitive if a tad one sided IWA-MS Lightweight title match. Both guys showcased their top talents in a flawless, fast-paced effort.

7. Sami Callahan defeated Prince Ali

Two of the top talents on the long list of wrestlers that IWA has introduced to me this year. Callahan and Ali created a nice blend between Sami's clobbering brawler style and Ali's lightning-quick flippy style. These two are up there with Dingo and Hades who are constantly putting on exciting, enthralling matches far beyond their years. At one point Ali hits his reverse 450 move perfectly but Sami kicks out. Ali attempts another one and misses leading to the finish.

8. Troy Walters defeated Devon Moore, Egonostico Fantastico and Acid Jazz in a 4-way ladder match for number one contendership for the lightweight title

This was definitely up there with the top ladder matches I've seen in IWA history. The past few ladder matches in Joliet have been awesome and but generally tend towards clusterfuckery in the end. A good indication of how much enjoyment you have in a wrestling match is how your perception of time changes when you become absorbed in match. When "5 minutes gone in match" was called over the PA, I was in shock by the action I'd witnessed in those first 5 minutes, certain that at least twice the time had elapsed. Though I'm not sure the match went past a full 15 minutes, everything flowed so smoothly throughout the match and all four packed a ton of holy shit moments into the short period. Many young indy wrestlers make the mistake of trying to perform beyond their abilities in big match situations like this and end up botching a ton of dangerous spots they shouldn't be attempting in the first place. But Devon, Ego, Jaz, and Walters are four very talented and experienced and underrated wrestlers and they wrestled a very tight match with spot after spot flowing cohesively throughout. When you think of some of the greatest IWA ladder matches between up and coming light heavyweights you think of Punk/Hero, Jacobs/Delirious, Black/Abercrombie, and even Hades/Quick from KOTCM back in August, and I think in many ways this four-way is worth the comparison.

Overall Thoughts: Just like the "Locked & Reloaded" show from three weeks ago, "November Pain" ended up being quite an awesome high-energy short little show. The undercards from both shows showcased solid young talent many of whom may grow into solid midcard talents over the next year. And just as "Locked & Reloaded" produced awesome competitive matches like Dingo/Jacobs, Hades/Jaz, and a near 30-minute sleeper MOTYC like Hero/Ali, tonight we were treated to Hades/Rockett in a phenomenal title match, Ali/Sami in a brutal hard hitting meets crazy high flying match, and the blowaway four way ladder match main event.

I think once Ian announced that IWA was going to try and start running weekly in Joliet, a lot of people probably figured that there's just no way they'll be able to make every single show. So it makes sense that a lot of fans are going to pick shows like TPI and Double Death over smaller shows like this one. It's just a shame that since IWA's not going to be running in Joliet until the very end of November that a lot of people missed out on a chance to see a one-of-a-kind IWA Saturday night wrestling show like no other. With times as they are, running every single Saturday probably just isn't the best idea, but I hope more casual fans start realizing that even these smaller shows really are worth the drive and the $15 or $20 ticket.

IWA Mid-South Upcoming Schedule of Events

If you have been to the last few shows in Joliet, you have seen the very low turnouts at the events. We realize that the economy is rough right now and that there isn't a lot of disposable income. We also hope that everyone realizes that we are trying to put on the best shows that we possibly can without doing so poorly that we can't afford to do any more shows. We listen to the fans and try to give you guys what you ask for and what has been asked for quite a bit is the return of the Lethal Lottery show. Here is your chance to see what you have asked for and we are going to give a price break to those that can help us out in these economic hard times by bringing a group of fans to the show.

General admission tickets will be buy 2 GA tickets and get 1 free for the groups of three or more that come out to this show.

2008 Lethal Lottery
Saturday night, November 15th, 2008
Hartman Rec Center
511 N.
Collins Street
Joliet, IL
Belltime: 8 pm; Doors open: 7 pm
Tickets: $15 & $10

12 men will compete in the Lethal Lottery where the fans will determine the matches by drawing names out of hat. We can see friend vs. friend or unique matchups that you would never see without the help of a blind draw. Wrestlers will have to think on their feet and come up with a game plan on the fly due to not knowing their opponent ahead of time. The names will be drawn and music will be played and the wrestlers will come to the ring.
It will be time to separate the men from the boys with the Lethal Lottery!!!!

The 6 winners of the matches will then compete in a battle royal. You can eliminate opponents via pinfall, submission or by throwing them over the top rope.

IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title Match

Dingo vs. winner of the battle royal

Dingo will put his title on the line against a wrestler that will have definitely earned the title shot. Winning a singles match and then eliminating 5 other challengers in a grueling battle royal in the same night definitely deserves a title shot. Dingo will be at a disadvantage by not knowing who he will have to defend the title against while everyone competing will know the prize they are fighting for. However, the champion will have the advantage of being completely fresh for the match while the challenger is going to have to display amazing stamina and endurance to win three different times in one night.
Can someone run the gauntlet and defeat the fighting champion or will Dingo leave the Hartman Rec Center with his title belt still around his waist and looking ahead to a pinfall counts anywhere match with Sami Callihan in Bellevue, Illinois?

Special Challenge Match Not Part of Lethal Lottery

"The New Horror" Sami Callihan vs. ECW Original Ian Rotten

Sami got a taste of hardcore at Double Death. He had to taste his own blood. He discovered that he actually liked it. What did he like even more though? Making his opponents taste their blood! Sami was defeated by The Bloody Brothers at Double Death and Sami
