Before a small crowd, Id say 20-25. I think the promoters will not run on Sun afternoon, during FB season, plus a nice day. Regardless, a LOT Of fun, and some good wrestling so here you go. I will def be back if they run again, no doubt, as long as Im free.

Again, the Announce table saw wrestlers cut promos, etc. Very old school, and no entrance music, etc again either. Different for sure, and kinda cool.

There were some card changes, but here's your quick results.

Afternoon show:

Refs: Zack and Rich Bass for both shows
RA/Bell: ShawnO Vincent for both shows.

Big Daddy Bravo over Sensational Scott Levesque w the Torture Rack backbreaker in 5:10

Makua w his "manager" , a hot looking woman, whos name was not announced battled the Duke of Elegance, Don Chesterfield. Duke was cheered, and of course, mentioned the long trip from "overseas". Really good match of big men, w the Duke g etting a DQ win, when Makua's manager interfered. Time 8:15

The "New School Wrecking Crew" Jim Tanner and Pierre Beast Vachon came out in s piked maskes, ala Demolition to meet Zack Statick and Billy King w Marshall McNeil. A fun match, that saw the McNeil crew running for their lives for long periods. In the end tho, a distraction lead to the victory by Static and King w the old feet on the ropes. The NSWC cut a promo promising all kinds of retribution for King and Statick. Time: 6:38

Freight Train came out as a heel and battled Bobby Ocean. Ocean gave it a go, but Train hit a Blackhole slam and Stomach Claw in tribute to Killer Kowalski in 5:28. Pretty much one sided.

Gregory Edwards took on The Punisher Don Vega. Good match, but Vega got the win in 5:13 by submission.

Radio personality Shaggy came out, stating that he had his eye on Marshall McNeil, for his constant interference. Next, the Alumni Club w MM vs Kid Mikaze and Scott Reed. Best match to this point in show, saw both teams get in a lot of good offense. Very entertaining, at one point, O Neill tried to interfere, and Shaggy stopped him outside the ring, But, the Croquet Mallett of MM's got into the ring, and the Alumni Club scored a cheap win. 10:56

Up next, the Promise Antonio Thomas, cut a great promo at the announce table, presenting Marshall McNeil w a Kimono from Japan..haha. After this sappiness, Thomas then sang to a couple older fans in back, the Golden girls Theme..HILARIOUS stuff., Thomas took on Slyck Wagner Brown. Great technical contest as you'd expect here, w a lot of near falls. McNeil however threw Powder in Slycks face, and the ref caugh him, giving the DQ win to Slyck in 10:30. Post match, Slyck , still partially blinded, Powerbombed Antonio.

Frankie Arion vs Maverick Wild in a 2/3 falls matchup. First fall saw Frankie hit his bulldog like move off the ropes, like the Dudly Dog type thingy. In the second fall, the crazy Maverick went to work on Frankie's leg, and seemed to hurt it pretty bad. This lead to Frankie having to submit to a single leg crab. Third fall went back and forth, but Frankie hit an Inziguiri and got a surprise pin, to win the match, two falls to one. Time: 15 min appx.

Between show dinner of Roast Chicken, potatoes, green beans and Cake..yummy. Cool convo w the friends and Mr Burke, a great wrestling historian.

Evening Show:

6:45 a pre show match, w a couple of local guys saw Vicious Andy Licious defeat Brad Hollister in 3:00

Slyck Wagner Brown wrestled a tremendous technical match w Kid Mikaze. great to watch solid old style technical wrestling, that isnt dull. Both men went over the top tho on a move and couldnt get back in. The match was a double countout in 10:23

Makua over Scott Levesque in 7:33 with an odd move that looked like a Jaw claw or nerve hold on the jaw. Levesque had a lot of the match, but just couldnt get the win.

In a rematch from the early show, MM now said his team would be the "Beast Killers". Zack Statick and Billy King, who took on the New School Wrecking crew, bent on revenge. This time, King was afraid to get in, and his partner got the snot beat out of him. McNeil was disguisted and fired his team..haha. In the end, the NSWC got revenge for the afternoon show, w a win basically crushing Statick, w King barely if at all, getting in the match.

The Duke of Elegance was back..yayyy..this time to take on Ladies Man Gregory Edwards. The Duke had the easy win early, or did he? Edwards battled back, and seemed to have the Duke on the run back "overseas". haha. But the Duke, in real old school form, hit a great airplane spin, and pin for the victory. Post match, he again put Edwards in another airiplane spin. Total time 8:37

Don Vega again had to deal w some unruly fans, esp a little kid w a Bret Hart mask..haha. as he took on Scott Reed. Good effort by Reed, who was excellent all day. Vega got a win in a bit over 8:00 w a powerbomb.

Next, Antonio Thomas took on Frankie Arion in a 2/3 falls matchup. Thomas this time had his "gym towel", yes thats what the towel said..haha and seemed more worried when some fans took it, and wiped their faces with it..GREAT banter w the fans. No song this time either. Frankie was still injured from the earlier match, and fought gamely. FAll one went to Frankie w a fast cradle after an attempted Figure four by Thomas. Second fall saw Antonio lock in the figure four, and Frankie, screaming in pain, have to submit to the Figure Four. Third fall was a real war, On the floor, into the fans, all over the place. Thomas was like a man possessed, trying to put Frankie out. Awesome stuff all over, VERY Intense. Back in ring, Frankie escaped a crab, but on a second attempt, Thomas was able to get the submission of the fall and match win. Easily MOTday IMO. Post match, Thomas looked like he would attack Frankie, but then called him a name, but said he had tremendous respect, and asked for the crowd too. GREAT matchup, esp the g reat third fall.

Last match, was the Alumni Club w MM vs the Logan Brothers. Two/Three falls. Alumni got win w the feet on ropes and a rollup in Fall one. Matt Logan hit a high cross body off ropes to even it up. third fall was very solid back and forth, and McNeil tried to interfere, but was kicked by both Logans. The Alumni tho took advantage of the ref distraction, and got the win. Strong match to end the show.

As said, they need to do something bout the draw, etc, run another day, book the talent way ahead, whatever, because this kinda event is really worth it, IMO. The event is a lot of fun, and different, and had strong talent. BTW, all wrestlers gave it a great effort, despite the small crowd. Thanks to Richard Blake, Tom Burke and company on another enjoyable event, as well as Barry, Riss, Beth, Melissa, Banks, Shawn and JD (watch for his photos, there should be some REAL COOL ones, in black and white again). I look forward to hopefully hearing about another event in the future.

Thanks for the results. Looks like it was a strong show, a shame about the attendance. Hope it doesn't put the financial pinch on the fed.

The thing that stopped Jen & I from coming down for this was it being on a Sunday. Brutal.

Show sounds like it was great, though. And the Duke hit TWO Airplane Spins in the match. So awesome.

I wanted to go but things came up. And the sunday in footballseason thing wasn't the thing. I like SUnday shows when they're not on the nicest day of the autumn.

Contrary to popular belief, promoters DO want to make money off of shows.

This "promoter" clearly has a lot to learn about running an independent wrestling show.

Here's where I think he went wrong:

2 shows on a Sunday: HUGE MISTAKE

Booking high priced indy talent when local, casual wrestling fans do not know who they are

Lack of actual promoting (I didn't have a flyer on my car at BTW when I have in the past for NEPW and NEW shows, nor did I see a commercial on TV during any WWE shows).

I laid it out before in the previous thread on this topic that he would lose a lot of money on these shows, not due to a shortage of good matches, but due to the fact that the promoter does not know what he's doing.

Promoters do want to make money on shows, they do not purposely hope to lose money, especially when he's donating some money to a charity. So unless this guy is shelling out thousands of dollars just so he can have his own private show, or to put on a show for just the 10 people on the internet because he's a real nice man, he needs some help.

So that is what prompted my "Haha" earlier.

Ha

ALL promoters WANT to make money... The only guy who legit didnt care was Billy Firehawk. Otherwise, ask any promoter "Do you want to make money off this show?" He will probably not take you seriously, as, the answer is yes.

It was very silly to run a doubleshot on a sunday. During football season, and the baseball playoffs, not too smart.

High priced Indy Talent? SWB and Antonio are the only 2 guys I can see you saying are "high priced".

If this wasnt promoted when BTW ran in Chicopee, thats a bit silly. ALWAYS promote your event whenever you can get wrestling fans within a 1/2 hr or so radius of your show.

I completely agree. The reports I have seen on the shows they have run to date have definitely interested me in this promotion. I hope they run on a Saturday next time. Hard to make it down for Friday or Sunday when it's a 6 hour round trip.

Lets hope they sold a lot of DVD

I still say the old school no music show is not a good idea for a successful promotion. By doing so you are catering to only smarks and not the local casuals. The local casual fan is where the money is and if the local casual has a choice of shows they will pick the better produced show. Belive me I would go to a show like this once or twice and then it would get old. Could you imagine ROH with no music?

I don't know anything about this promoter and hope this is not the case but I have seen so many times of someone with dreams of being a wrestling promoter with cash to burn. They will lose there shirts on there first show and then they will do another and lose there shirts again and then they might do some more but in the end they will give up and be flat broke. If someone is out there wants to put on shows please please I'm begging you to get a lot of experience in the business first. I always dream of being a Porn Star but then I wake up and look at what God has given to me and then I forget about it.

I would say it is probably more of a "personal dream" thing too. It does appeal to different people, and certainly not to as wide a range. Maybe you would get bored, but with all the different type of shows you attend, like me and many others on here, I would think the "different show" would be a nice change from the "same old thing". Again, its all personal preference though, and I'm still hoping the shows continue, with some "tweaking" as far as the actual scheduling, advertising, etc.

I think any wrestler who uses music should be required to perform an interpretive dance to his tune of choice prior to the start of the match. The performance should be judged, and the wrestler who loses the dance portion of the match should have to win 2 falls to the other guy's one fall to win the match.
