A huge and critical win for the Rays with that sac fly by Upton in the 11th. This is what postseason baseball is like. One day, you get two guys who pitch brilliantly, only one team can win. Next day, you get tons of offense, home runs, etc, and the bullpens have to do the job. The game was nearly a classic IMO that ended just a few hours ago.

They do it all again in a late afternoon game Monday in Beantown. Lester will be really tough, and Garza will likely have no basically shut down the Red Sox, but I can't wait to see what these two teams have in store this time.

And Tonight, Joe Torre and the gang need to find a way to win the first of 4 out of 5 to complete an improbable comeback vs the Fightin Phillies. Tune in LIVE tonight on FOX sports with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver for all the action, at around 807 pm .

Rays win Only one game tho. I must admit Im surprised, but as good as Jon Lester is, nobody is perfect all the time. Lots of power, big win for Rays, but Red Sox are FAR from out of this series. Sonnanstine and Wakefield tomorrow night. Im sure it'll be another exciting game. Rays should have an edge in the pitching there, but the Sox will be pissed, and a knuckler, you never know.

HUGE win for Phillies last night. Torre, IMO and many others, took out Lowe too fast, after just 74 pitches in five innings. Short rest or not, he could have gone another inning or two. Too much "overmanaging" at times. Credit the Phils tho, w good bullpen work by Madson and Lidge, and the "Old man" getting the game winning two run pinch homerun.

Looks like, barring a collapse, The World Series will take place all East of the Mississippi this year.

The Red sox came from three down vs the Yankees, and Indians, so you never count em out. But, CONGRATS again to the Rays for a HUGE win tonite, to go up 3-1. Tampa has been pounding the ball, clutch hitting, etc. They are outplaying the Red Sox, and so far, its holding to form. Thurs, Dice K vs Shields in Game 5.

Congratulations to the Phillies. A very well played series indeed. Its not the Whiz Kids, its not Tug and the gang, but its a great mix of vets and young players, who will be a VERY tough opponent in the World Series.
