The Eastern Wrestling Alliance returns to the Orange Armory, located at 141 E. Main Street in Orange, MA, on Saturday, 1/19/07 with a 7:30pm belltime. Tickets are available for $12 in advance at Bruce's Browser in Athol, MA, or $15 at the door. In the main event, "The Duke of Elegance" Don Chesterfield, accompanied by Steven Marriott, takes on the near-400lb. monster Brian Milonas. The former compatriots relationship deteriorated over the last year, culminating in a locker-room emptying brawl to close the November show in Orange after Chesterfield had inadvertently caused Milonas to lose to EWA Heavyweight Champion Maverick Wild. As the two were held apart by fellow wrestlers, their voices were heard quite clearly, and next Saturday night we will find out just who is the baddest man in the EWA?
EWA Heavyweight Champion Maverick Wild has held onto his title, undettered, since winning a battle royal to determine the champion in March of 2006 (the titles had been vacated following a one-year period of inactivity by the promotion, automoatically violating all champions 1x/365 day title defense clause). Standing across the ring from him next Saturday night will be a man coming off of two consecutive singles victories, over Kid Krazy and Frankie Arion, the one and only Mikaze. Don't miss your chance to see Maverick Wild take on Mikaze, next Saturday night!
The recently formed combination of Dr. Reginald Heresy and Kid Krazy have set their sites clearly on the EWA Tag Team Titles, and are on a hot streak. Looking to slow them down next Saturday, and reuniting for the first time in nearly 2 years, will be the A-list, Mark Bourne and Andre Lyonz! A formerly heralded team in several promotions in New England, the A-list has individual interest in the match as well. Lyonz steps out of retirement to face former EWA Tag Team partner Dr. Heresy, and Kid Krazy's battles with Bourne (then wrestling as the Mighty Mini) in EWA rings have been very intense, historically. What will happen when these four personalities share the ring next Saturday? Be there!
Also next Saturday night, Makua looks to continue on his successful comeback trail after his sabbatical to win ABC's Fat March, as he takes on "The Nicest Guy Evah" Mike Nice. The ever-popular Chunky but Funky will take on the debuting team of Sledge and Barricade. Also in action, Psycho, The Alumni Club and much more! Do not miss your chance to catch the EWA live along with the rabid fans in Orange, next Saturday night!

No way! These guys were the best team ever! Mini hasn't been wrestling much lately so I wonder if they will be rusty? Whatever, this is good news for the local indy tag team scene.
Make sure they come out to Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall. |

Why? I prefer me some Sid Barrett era Pink Floyd (I had a little mouse I used to call him Gerald) |
Me too. But the A-Team used to come to the ring to that song and it was a great entrance for them. |

I guess after the promoter of Powerhouse said you couldnt come to the show and interview him and get in for free, you decided to go to EWA instead. The funny part was you expected to interview the POwerhouse promoter and attend for free after all the bad things you said about them on here. Typical ghost |
WHAT? hehe. I was never offered a comp or anything for PHW. Im going to EWA because its a strong card, and Im interested in a couple of matches a LOT, as well as the rest of the card. END OF STORY. |
Don't make me prove that you contacted the promoter of Powerhouse Wrestling about coming to the show. And that you asked to interview him. I never said you were offered a comp, but you were looking for one with your recent request to come to the show and interview the promoter. Stop playing dumb. |
I honestly never requested an interview w the promoter. I may have PMd them and wished them luck on the show, or something, but I dont even see that on my PM list. Show me some proof Nef, please. |

Who cares whose dick The Gray Ghost is trying to suck this week. How about staying with the topic of the forum and letting EWA get some much deserved respect. |
Watch this! Off the garage!

Maine is home to the toughest commission in New England, and they require an EMT, blood pressure and heart rate tests before the matches. It's very expensive state to run. EWA ran out of Portland soley because it was owned by Steve Ramsey, who lived outside of Portland and was also the most organized financial manager of a wrestling show I ever met. He had to have been, because they ran the Stevens Armory which had quite a price tag for rent. They ended up having to move to the Strive Center, which was actualy a small place with a rent not much less than the armory. |

I loved the EWA in Sourbridge. Especially the early days at the place across from the Big Bunny..hehe. Was great seeing guys like Ken Phoenix, Antonio, Romeo, Mav, Doc, Krazy, Frankie, Mini, etc. And Hastey, who kept going to the top, never hitting that move and always "hurting" the leg. I swear, he got caught more than Flair off the top rope.
It was a great time for me, esp when I was one half of the Larry Huntley fan club. All these were great times, and fun shows.
My favorite feuds both involved Mav too. He had a classic one w Doc, and another w Krazy, w that wild Iron man match.
Plus, who can forget the lovely Tanya, fooling "commissioner" Heartbreaker into signing for a HW title match vs Cueball, my Aim namesake.
I owe a lot of my indy fan years to three promotions really, in the early days. MWA, my very first indy show (Thx Shabba), Assault (Riders was still the "standard") and EWA. So, if any of the fans wanna blame someone for me being what I am, you can start with those three promotions. |

NOTICE GHOST THAT 2 OF THE 3 ARE DEAD (OR RENAMED IN THE CASE OF ACW AKA DPW) AND THE 3RD RUNS LIKE 3 SHOWS A YEAR WOW YOU SURE PICKED WINNERS IN THE BEGINING. EWA IS DEFINATLY GOOD THOUGH AND I USED TO MAKE THE TRIP TO MAINE ONCE EVER FEW MONTHS TO SEE THEM ESPICALLY DURING THE FULLER VS BOOKER FEUD WHICH WAS OFF THE CHARTS AT TIMES. |

Yeah, Mr Booker ( w Pristine Kristine, man, that woman's screams could break bulletproof glass) and Chi Chi Cruz amongst others too. So many memories. Far as "picking winners", I didnt know much better. MWA was by the advice of a fellow card show dealer, Joe (later to become Shabba), and I think he told me bout Assault running at the time outta the Meriden MIC. the EWA was a big on the NEI website, which is one way I heard bout them too. |
