Here's the press release from TNA:
TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION (TNA) WRESTLING ANNOUNCES A ‘LOCKDOWN’ IN NEW ENGLAND ON APRIL 13
Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Booker T, AJ Styles, Christian Cage and many more TNA Superstars to battle inside the Six Sides Of Steel!
The superstars of Spike TV’s hit show “TNA “iMPACT!” will take over the Tsongas Arena for the most dangerous pay-per-view event in professional wrestling!
Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling announced today that “Lockdown 2008” will be held live at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Massachusetts, near Boston at 8 p.m. ET on April 13, airing worldwide exclusively on pay-per-view.
“Lockdown” is unlike any other wrestling pay-per-view in that every match takes place inside TNA's infamous “Six Sides of Steel,” promising some of the most unforgettable moments in professional wrestling. “Lockdown” is highlighted by the “Lethal Lockdown” match, in which two teams of five compete inside a cage that becomes enclosed with a steel roof fitted with weapons.
Scheduled to appear live at “Lockdown” will be current TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, TNA World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Tomko, Booker T, X Division Champion “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal, TNA Women’s Champion Awesome Kong, “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Robert Roode, The Motor City Machineguns, The Latin American Xchange, “The War Machine” Rhino, Kaz and many more.
“TNA is thrilled to bring ‘Lockdown’ to Lowell. Fans across New England have a reputation for being passionate about sports and entertainment. We’re confident that when you combine the best professional wrestling in the world with an all-steel cage format the result will be an unforgettable night of drama and competition unlike anything seen before,” TNA President Dixie Carter said.
The April weekend in New England will also include an all-access chance to meet the stars of TNA at “TNA Lockdown Fan Interaction," which puts the stars of TNA up close and personal with the fans for a once in a lifetime meet-and-greet opportunity. Details on “TNA Lockdown Fan Interaction” will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for “TNA Lockdown 2008” will go on sale Friday, February 29 at 10 a.m. and are available at all Ticketmaster locations, www.ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at (617) 931-2000 or at the Tsongas Arena Box Office (300 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Lowell, MA 01852). |

Ticket Prices: $151.50, $126.50, $51.50, $36.50, $21.50
The $151.50 seats (first few rows) comes to $164.30 exactly with fees. So figure $165. |

At this time, I do not feel that TNA is worth that. |

Ok, well for me...wrestling is not about spending $200 and being in a building of many thousands. Ever since I went to my first ECW show in 1996, I realized that I enjoy being in a more intimate setting, seeing better action up close, and paying less for tickets.
TNA is not worth a WWE ticket price. Not even 3/4 of a WWE ticket price. They are not close to reaching the success that WWE has achieved. At this point, TNA should be about introducing themselves to the fans, not about outrageous ticket prices. |

I THINK $20 WOULD BE A LITTLE MUCH FOR A FRONT ROW TICKET TO A TNA SHOW ILL STICK TO MY CHEAP SEATS EITHER THAT OR JUST MOVE DOWN WHEN THEY WANNA MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY SOLD OUT THE PLACE....ALSO THAT ARENA IS AWESOME FOR HOCKEY AND THERES NOT A BAD SEAT IN THE HOUSE FOR WRESTLING EITHER SO NO MATTER WHAT YOU SPEND YOULL BE ABLE TO SEE THE RING CLEARLY AND NOT BE LIKE 3 BALCONYS UP.... |
