#1 - How did you get your start in the business? What was it like to finally make it?
I got my start in the business doing camera, ring crew, security and everything else they would let me do for the old CCW run by Baron. I think he still has his comic book store in Milford. Bulldog Blanski definitely had a lot to do with me getting in the business. Treated the whole camera crew with alot of respect and listened to us when we had some opinions on how the show should be shot. Then I ran a radio show in Philadelphia and caught on with Infinity Wrestling Federation followed by Cutting-edge Wrestling Federation where I was trained by Captain Rick Adams. I got to hang out with one of the greats in the biz Larry Winters a lot it was good to hear his opinion on things. My two "brothers" in the industry also always helped me out Kris Krude and Shaka.
To finally make in DPW was like a big sigh of relief. I got into a company with a lot of people who really care not only about the business but also about each other. People who bash on DPW don't realize how close alot of the people in the back really are. The fans only get to see part of the show the most entertaining part is what happens backstage.
#2 - What current promotions do you currently work for?
I work for Defiant Pro Wrestling and WrestleJam.
#3 - If there was one wrestler who you would love to work with but haven't as of yet, who would that be and why?
To work with like as in work a match with? My days of that have long since passed. No one in their right mind should see me in the ring, although Bulldog tells me I have the best elbow drop in the business. I would love to get a chance to call a match (since ya know I am just an announcer now) with Joey Styles as a lot of people can tell you he is my biggest influence in how I call a match, Credible was actually mocking me for it during Brutal Liaisons. And I'd love to call a match of Ric Flair's just to say I did.
#4 - If you were offered a contract by TNA or WWE, who would you work for and why?
I would work for TNA in a heart beat. I love the Orlando area. The work schedule would be nice. I wouldn't work for WWE too much travel plus I hear the benefits blow.
#5 - Is there anything else you would like to add? Any upcoming shows you will be on?
I just want to thank you Mike the Mark for being kind enough to allow me to be interviewed by you, SOME PEOPLE think they're above interviewing one of the best ring announcers and play by play guys in Connecticut.
I will be at the next DPW TV taping on March 9th. |
