It is with deep regret that I have to announce that this Friday's scheduled event, RIZEN 2008, must be canceled.
Due to a complaint over a fire spot some months ago, we were contacted by the local fire department. After a brief meeting and aninformal inspection it was decided that several aspects of the facility need to be brought up to code.
Both of the gentlemen who came for the meeting were very professional, helpful and courteous. I look forward to working with them to get everything squared away in a timely fashion.
It would be impossible to get everything completed and inspected before Friday's event. Therefore, we have no other option than to cancel RIZEN.
I can only offer my sincerest apology for any problems this may cause for those that planned to attend, as well as the performers that were scheduled to appear.
We're not down and out by any means. I would suggest the following:
1) See things as they are: Not worse than they are.
2) See things better than they are.
3) Make them that way!
Regards,
Mike Milano |

Sometimes, these things are a blessing in disguise. Its quite possible that having the building inspected could save someone from being hurt down the road. So in a way, its not a bad thing, esp if this fixes some issues.
I was potentially planning on going this this event, as friday shows are easy for me to attend.
Good luck and hopefully, everything will be "up to code" soon! |

This wouldn't have happened if Milano was still in charge. You would think after a distinguished career selling lubricant that J.J.J. would be more proficient at greasing palms. |

I'm sure everything will work out for the best. Best of luck straightening this out. I'm sure everything will turn out fine and we'll be back ringside enjoying a show! |

Alright, who snitched? |
Yeah first thing that came to my mind. People pulled this with CZW all the time. And odds are if this is the same stuff you read about elsewhere it is BS stuff that needs fixing. Also the timing fits the whole fuck with a fed so close to a big show they have no choice but to cancel.
If someone did pull this, it is fucking low. But seems real fishy to be inspected what two days before the show?
Oh well, wish ya luck Mike. |

Maybe God didn't want people going to wrestling shows on Good Friday? |

Nobody wants a repeat of the Great White Rhode Island fire. And Wrestling fans are greasier than rock fans, so they would light up quicker. |

I heard by having JJ Alexander in the room they were exceeding the maximum capacity of the building. |
