Who is headed down to Orlando to see WM live?

If so, are you planning on hitting any other events like TNA, Ring of Honor, UXW, or the Hall of Fame?

My schedule:

Friday: Ring of Honor (headlined by an ROH vs. Dragon Gate series of matches)

Saturday Afternoon: UXW show (headlined by Steve Corino and Abdullah the Butcher, appearances by Demoiltion, Jake Roberts, Vito, and Disco Inferno) I'll be appearing here as a vendor selling copies of my wrestling-themed comic book, Headlocked (www.myspace.com/mike_kingston).

Saturday Night: Ring of Honor (headlined by a rematch of 2008's US Match of the Year thus far...Nigel McGuiness vs. Austin Aries as well as a rematch of sorts of the 2006 Match of the Year..a 6 man match featuring stars from Dragon Gate)

Sunday: Wrestlemania...the matches I am looking forward to the most are the Michaels/Flair match, Edge/Taker, and Show/Mayweather (just for the spectacle)

Overall I am looking forward to Michaels/Flair the most and then McGuiness/Aries second, followed by the Dragon Gate 6 man.

Things I am skipping strictly on time (I would attend all if I could): Hall of Fame induction, TNA Thursday Night and Saturday afternoon shows, and all the WM Fan Access stuff.

So if you are going, what are you doing? And what are you looking forward to the most?

On a side note, if anyone would like to purchase my comic book Headlocked and is attending any of the same events that I am, PM me and we'll find each other. I've already made plans with several people at all 3 shows so it's workable. I'm selling the first 2 issues as a package for 5 bucks.

Check out www.myspace.com/mike_kingston or www.visionarycomics.com for more info on Headlocked.

I bought a package from WWE in June so here's my weekend.

Thursday: ROH possibly..flight lands in the afternoon and we have to get our rental and check in at the hotel.

Friday: TNA at Universal & WWE Fanfest - maybe ROH, depending on what time TNA gets out.

Saturday: WWE Private Meet & Greet, UXW Wrestling, and WWE Hall Of Fame

Sunday: Fan Axxess at Thunderfield & Wrestlemania 24.

Basically the whole reason I'm going is the Ric Flair rumors from last year of him being in the HOF and retirement...which apparently are coming true, so it was a good purchase.

I agree, it's too much money to spend, and I'll probably never do anything like it ever again.

We bought the silver packages...which was $641 per person because there are 3 of us in one room.
Plus airfare and rental car.

Plus you have to buy a parking ticket from Citrus Bowl, which no one tells you about...mine was $30.

For those of you interested this is was the package includes.....

Ticket to WrestleMania 24
Ticket to Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
2 Day pass to Universal Studios (WWE is paying for me to get into TNA)
Exclusive Souvenirs
Private Meet and Greet with superstars from Raw, Smackdown, & ECW.
Hotel Accomodations for 3 nights. We bought an additional night so we could arrive a day early and get checked in. The major registration day is Friday, that's when WWE will pass out the packages.

Also at the Hotel there will have a Shopzone store set up and Carlito and MVP will be doing a signings on Friday and Saturday.

The only difference between the Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages is the location of your seat at WrestleMania and the Platinum package gets to keep their chair.

Platinum Triple Occupancy - 3 People @ $1,421 (USD) per person - Total Cost: $4,263 (USD)

Gold Triple Occupancy - 3 People @ $821 (USD) per person - Total Cost: $2,463 (USD)

Silver Triple Occupancy - 3 People @ $641 (USD) per person - Total Cost: $1,923 (USD)

My trip wasn't terribly expensive as ROH tickets are like 20 bucks, my flight from upstate NY was 150, and my WM ticket was 100, and I'm staying at a family timeshare for the week. Now that Mania seems to be settled in at stadiums, you can usually get fairly inexpensive seats.

Plus since I'm going partially on business (I'm selling my comic book as a vendor at a UXW show), I can write off some of the expense on my taxes....

There is a guy on the ROH message board that puts together really inexpensive packages for people as well and for the amount of wrestling and wrestling related activities, you can't go wrong.

According to the ROH schedule, there is no show Thursday and the Friday show is 8PM. TNA is running Thursday night with the live broadcast of Impact. Personally, I'd do do TNA Thursday night and ROH on Friday night in addition to the UXW and WM shows just so I can say I checked out all four feds in one weekend.

You are correct sir, that was supposed to say TNA, Possibly...
If I go to TNA Thursday then i will go to ROH Friday...I want to make sure that I get to experience TNA in the Impact Zone at least once, and who knows if I'll ever make it back Florida again.

Quote:
-Word from Orlando is that WWE is heavily papering the city for the last 5,000 to 7,000 or so seats that haven't been sold or given away up to this point. It would be the first time Wrestlemania has had to be papered on the last few days since 1992 or 1993

All kinds of craziness in Orlando. WWE paranoia this weekend is off the chain. Their wrestlers were told they couldn't attend other events, nor have any photos taken with anyone from TNA. The story we heard on Robbie McAllister is that after he was shown, he got a phone call or text immediately from the office saying that you were shown on TV--Leave immediately. He was sent home by WWE, but at least at this point has not been fired. TNA has had advertising on vehicles driving around where WWE fans would normally be.

--WWE has already learned of TNA's plan to fly a plane with a banner that reads something like "Watch TNA Impact" at some point during Wrestlemania. Well, it's not like it'll air on the broadcast. There are several other incidents that we're trying to get confirmation on that have taken place in recent days.
