I think the smart marks feel that Chris earns his money when people express hate for him, so they do that. And then I think there are some that truly hate him...those people I don't get. Personally, I have a terribly hard time hating him, because he's soooooo entertaining. So basically, I'm a huge Chris Hero fan. |

Hero's awesome when he's a bully with nerdy undertones, it's just a shame that Gabe has it backwards and brings out the nerd side in Hero before the hard hitting bully side comes out. |

I no longer give a crap about Results having spoilers
In attendance:
Fake Jay Lethal, Carluto, The Lurker, Bizarro Malcolm, Dixie Carter, Delta Burke, Cute girl next to girl with the worst hairdresser ever, Girl with the worst hairdresser ever, Stevie Nix, Who Enjoys Family Circus?, Tony S,
MIA- Michael Nakazawa, GLF, Kuro, TVS, Blade's harem, Pearce, AmDrag & Fish, Go Shiazaki, Chris Hero's talent, Erik Steven's mohawk and freshamn 15 gut, Mike Kehner.
Brutal Bob beats Kyler Durden
Osiris beats Sugarfoot, and Rhett "Needs To Practice" Titus
Stevens over Strong, Rocky Romero and El Generico to get a title shot. Generico had Rocky set up for a top rope brainbuster (A move only taken by Davey Richards so far in ROH) and as Rocky fights it Strong comes up behind and waits. Rocky twists his core and shakes off Generico. Strong is on him and backbreakers El before Romero can recover. Broken up by Stevens, a lot of spots and Stevens gets the win. Stevens had no mo' mohawk, and tights that fit and no gut.
Jason Blade of the YYR over Epic Mike Bennett. This was a great match between two faces in New England, that was ruined by a screwup on the finishing move. Basically Blade backdropped Bennet but missed what he was doing for the impact. He then immediately got the cover. Bennett looked good, he has the build and appears to look like a wrestler. If he stays n the main card in New England he'll make the chubboes look bad.
Eddie Edwards, sans braids over Jigsaw sans mask but w/ Mercedes Martinez. Crowd was going for the local guy, over the guy with the local girl. Once again Edwards carries a Vulture to a great match. Sweeney's music hit, I tried to snag one of his cards so I could mock it here on TheBurningHammer, but he's not a total idiot that can't remember people being abusive to him. Jig is distracted and Edwards gets the win, Sweeney announces the newest memeber of SnS inc. Great that Edwards is a full timer, but bad that he's with Larry Sweeney. It was suggested by others that Edwards and Brent Albright would make a great tagteam.
Vulture Squad over The Briscoes. Jack took the beatings in his return match. Ruckus didn't do anything, which is an improvement. Mark Briscoe out danced Jack in the ring, but later he biffed it mocking Jack on camera in the entranceway. Hope that makes the DVD as he fell right on his face. Unrealistic finish as the team that beats everybody lost to the lightweight soft-strikers.
Too Tired to continue. Might edit.
Haze and Deathrey No contest.
Claudio, Delerious and Pelle Pimeau over Albright, Hero and Sweeney. Sweeney sucks at wrestling too. Claudio eliminates all three opponents by himself to get the win. Got in Hero's face, I should make the DVD. ALbright kicked the snot out of Pelle, on kick to the back moved him about a foot.
Davey Richards over Kota Ibushi. great match, started slow ended wicked high. Kota's still a little green but he's going to be the next Shingo Tagaki. Actually his English was conversational and almost unaccented. He'll be able to cut promos. I hope this 9 day trip gets him to come over more. NOAH and Dragongate should also start bidding on this guy's talent.
Champ over Stevens. That guy has started improving over the last 4-5 months along the same pace as Claudio did in 2007. He'll be on Televison a lot sooner than I would've guessed last time ROH came here. All refs involved in this match. Fatpants Sinclair, Todd Porkins, Mike Cocklin, Paul Turner and Tony S!
Steen over Necro. Necro is a knob. |

My favorite ROH show ever. I'm going back to this place every time from now on.
Flight to Logan=Free
T Tokens (Okay it was a card but tokens are cooler)= $5 and I've still got half the card. Blue to the green line was a snap.
Ticket to get in $8
Dinner at Kwan's $10.
Seeing Collette's old dorm brought back a happy memory.
BU vs Tufts LAX game was free from the balcony.
Cab ride back to Logan =$0 because the T was still running.
Thirty Five dollar bar tab =$35
Place to crash was free.
Flight home+ No parking fee at work
$20 to see a great wrestling show. That never happens. |

Added comments in Brown.
In attendance:
Fake Jay Lethal, Carluto (chubbo), The Lurker, Bizarro Malcolm, Dixie Carter, Delta Burke (I made that up), Cute girl next to girl with the worst hairdresser ever, Girl with the worst hairdresser ever, Stevie Nix, Who Enjoys Family Circus?, Ref Tony S, Stephanie Swist
MIA- Michael Nakazawa (he was there, he was Kota's handler), GLF (that's why I was able to get good seats- he hadn't bought an extra dozen to scalp.), Kuro, TVS (or his crew), Blade's harem, Pearce, AmDrag & Fish, Go Shiazaki, Chris Hero's talent, Erik Steven's mohawk and freshamn 15 gut, Mike Kehner, Spideronahead. It was a big crowd that was spread out so They could've been there. I didn't see Homicide but I did see somebody that looked like Fallen Angel but I thought it was a fan Madonnawannabe.
Brutal Bob (I was in a play in elementary school where the Brutal Miner kicks the cat a lot) beats Kyler Durden
Osiris beats Sugarfoot, and Rhett "Needs To Practice" Titus
Stevens over Strong, Rocky Romero and El Generico to get a title shot. Basically Blade backdropped Bennett but missed what he was doing for the impact. He then immediately got the cover. Bennett looked good, he has the build and appears to look like a wrestler. If he stays on the main card in New England he'll make the chubboes (see later) look bad.
Haze and Deathrey No contest. Both Looked good. I didn't have on my Death Rey shirt, which sucked because I was right on the aisle. SDR didn''t say word one to the crowd.
Claudio, Delerious and Pelle Pimeau over Albright, Hero (Chubbo) and Sweeney(Chubbo). Sweeney(Chubbo) sucks at wrestling too. Claudio eliminates all three opponents by himself to get the win. Got in Hero's(Chubbo's) face, I should make the DVD. Albright kicked the snot out of Pelle, on kick to the back moved him about a foot. Pelle took the beating like a champ. Too bad WWE already has a couple of tuff midgits. Only Albright was man enough to take some moves from Pelle which sucked as I was fed a line about Hero chubbo getting his ass kicked by a capriSun drink.

I was told that it was Nakazawa talking to the crowd when Ibushi left the ring. If that's the case I want to see both of them get attention. Davey won with a reverse choke submission move. I figured this would be Ibushi's win as he's got Claudio Saturday, Briscoes next friday and Aries on next Saturday. Dude might go 0-4 but I want him to come back. Davey hit the jap in the sack. I couldn't comment as I like Davey but he did have unerring aim at a dude's grundage.
Champ over Stevens. That guy (Erik Stevens) has started improving over the last 4-5 months along the same pace as Claudio did in 2007. He'll be on Televison a lot sooner than I would've guessed last time ROH came here. All refs involved in this match. Fatpants Sinclair, Todd Porkins, Mike Cocklin, Paul Turner and Tony S!. Only a few lariats, one Tower of London and two headstands, first one worked. Stevens has lost a lot (most of) his fat. He now looks great. And his kewl mohawk got mowed so he looks like an adult.
Steen over Necro. Necro is a knob. Steen can have a match with anybody, so this match just shows how bad Joey Matthews was in his two ROH appearences. Generico came out to celebrate wearing a sweatsuit; Dude shouldn't wear a sweatsuit. Only one thumbtack drew blood. Ballshots. Wrestler beats Brawler. "Next world champ" chant started by three differnt groups, and none took off. I wanted to say that but I didn't believe it. |

good show although i liked the previous Boston show better. I was a little pissed Ernie Osiris got screwed out of his title shot. i hear he had the white trunks ready for the special occasion. Nigel was heeling it up great.he was telling Stevens how he understands how it is to be hurt and that the fans dont care about his well being. Nigel told him to take the night off and he'd defend the belt against Ernie. ok match. Nigel worked on the arm alot making Stevens tap to the arm submission. Necro was moving a little faster than usual but he is still Necro,he taps to the sharpshooter in the barbed wire. VS gets the lucky W against the Briscoes. Evans was hit or miss and Ruckus did nothing offensively but took a little beating. The Brisoces werent going balls to the wall like usual. Richards-Ibushi had a real good match. Davey continues to impress,Ibushi quick and agile as expected. lots of back and forth at the end,Richard goes over with the Kamura. dissension between Rocky and Roddy in the opening four way, I thought for a minute Generico was going to get a top rope brain buster on Rocky but didnt happen. Stevens gets the W after smushing both Roddy and Rocky in the corner and rolling Roddy up . the 6 man elimination was pretty good. Pelle looked decent,Delirious was in good form and Claudio picked it up against Albright. Sweeney left when it was just him and Brent vs. Claudio. Hero did nothing and Sweeney did the chickenshit heel moves on Claudio or whoever after Brent had left them prone. Edwards vs. Jigsaw was a nice showcase for Eddie,Jigsaw seemed a little off. as much as I dont like Sweeney Edwards getting to be a regular is a good thing. Blade and Bennett was an nice athletic contest with Blade heeling it up but without the scantily clad women of the last Boston show. the ending didnt go as smooth as planned but still enjoyable. |

I was there in there in the front row with my only friends, a belly full of Cracker Barrel roast beef, and one of my camera bags in my extra seat.
I suppose it could just be the depression talking, but I thought this was the most lackluster show since they started running Boston again. It seemed like Mass was always able to to overcome being a Friday show and become something special, until last night. Oh well, everything ends sometime.
I hated the 4 corner. Until about the last two exchanges, it was worked like a tag match, which made the spiraling downward quick Stevens seem like even more of an idiot. Why wouldn't he just tag in the other NRC and make them take on each other, instead of just get stomped on for the majority of the match? Also, why were strikes by the NRC on Generico in the corner not considered tags? I wish the Stevens/Strong feud would end already, it feels like it has been going on for years now. 4CS matches seem to be a real crutch of Gabes these days, and a real wobbly crutch at that.
I love Blade as an arrogant heel. Its probably better for him too, since he is toning down the flippy-shit that someone was always coming up hobbling from that made me hate him in the past. Does anyone care about FIP belts in ROH though?
Eddie Edwards without the Milli Vanilla haircut versus Jigsaw without the match was nondescript. I used to love Jigsaw, but now he is just a rat-faced goof. If he ever re-masks he should get one for Mercedes too. She might be hot, if she had a bag over her face. I wish Larry Sweeney never crossed me, I am stubborn and unforgiving, but it is realy hard not to be entertained by him. |

My girlfriend and I had a blast in our front row seats in section C, right at the corner of the ring entranceway. Here are some photos I snapped with my cell phone during intermission and after the hardcore match.
The parking lot option right across from the Case gym was perfect. $5, and with little to no free spots in the area, I was psyched to park there. We saw Jason Blade leaving his car making his way to the building and offered him good luck. Snappy dresser, even in his street clothes.
We were very early, so we had a long dinner and desert at Brown Sugar Cafe on Commonwealth Avenue.
When Jigsaw first came by, I didn't recognize him.
I had a loud Chris Hero fan behind me in the second row, so that was fun. I was able to help him with his chants by banging on the metal.
Swiss flag girl did a nice job welcoming Claudio, and he showed her some appreciation after the match.
Ibushi vs Richards was my favorite match and the reason I was counting down the days and hours to the show. I was reasonable pleased with Boston's welcome and support for the new guy. His ring presence seems to have improved, since the videos I watched of him on YouTube. I think he and Davey gave us an excellent match. I can't wait to see it on DVD. Lots of back and forth meant all fun. Was it me, or was the crowd hesitant to try to pronounce Ibushi? Most of them went with Kota instead.
Nigel heeled it up and was quite frankly, brilliant in that role.
I could not believe the Butcher was walking barefoot on tacks. After the match, he was sitting by himself in the ring, assessing his damage, almost pouting about the condition of his face and arms. Another brilliant bit of drama.
I stood near Ibushi's table for a few minutes after the show, just sort of basking in his greatness as he signed autographs and took photos with the assistance of his entourage.
Thank you ROH! See you in Hartford, then back in boston in September! |

I guess if I hadnt gone outside to check out the college girls and lacrosse game at intermission id be in your top pic. I was sitting right behind you in row 4. yes it was cool about the girl with the Swiss flag. we got caught in traffic and got lost for a few minutes so we had to rush dinner. ill have to check out the brown sugar cafe menu. actually after googling it just now we walked by there and it was packed . |

Haha yeah I'm just about 6"3 and I try to be aware of blocking people's view, but I love the excitement and perspective of the front row. Not the greatest combination. |
