Taken from 411 mania.

NWA Showcase had a TV taping last night in Cape Girardeau MO. Last night in front of a jam packed crowd. From what I was told, only 3 matches were actually taped for TV, and you pretty much knew which matches those were because the ring announcer told us all to be crazy and hyped everyone up before the match started. The lighting in the building was great because they dropped the house lights and had the spot lights and strobe lights. It was very reminiscent of an old Clash of The Champions, which is a great look to go for. I hope it shows up on tv the way it looked live.

Anthony Brock defeated Adam Rich and Brandon Aarons for the inaugural Young Dynamo Cup.

Anthony Brock looked very impressive in the match. He is a taller guy with a great body and looked very good in the match. The match was very fast paced and the ending was strong.

Steven Kennedy/KC Karrington defeated Tyler Cook/Davey Vega

I missed this match because my wife called. I’m sure it was good considering all four guys involved.

Jeremy Wyatt defeated Shorty Biggs

Shorty Biggs is the most entertaining guy in the area. This match was one of the better non TV matches that was. The ending came out of nowhere with Wyatt getting the big win. In the beginning of the match, Shorty treated us to some dancing, which the crowd loved. If I had one complaint it would be that it went a little long, but it didn’t matter because it was entertaining from bell to bell.

SkullKrusher Venom defeated Brandon Espinosa/Michael Serious to retain the NWA Midwest Tag Titles.

This was the first match taped for TV and you could tell because it was a squash match. The SkullKrushers are enormous live. They were announced as different names that what they had on their trunks, and I thought they announced Venom (who works as Keith Walker for Harley Race) as Fatal. His partner did not wrestle in the match at all. This was completely one sided, with Venom hitting a sick back breaker and then power bombing his opponent right out of his trunks. These guys were terrifying.

Intermission

The Phoenix Twins w/ Joey Eastman defeated The Young Bucks
This was the second match taped for TV. The Young Bucks came out first and got the crowd fired up. Joey Eastman and The Twins came out. These guys had a grand entrance and looked like stars. Eastman cut a promo introducing Tweak and Dash. Match was very fast paced and the ending came when Eastman distracted the Young Bucks and the Twins switched out and stole a pin. This was match of the night.

Dingo defeated Davey Richards to retain the NWA Missouri Title
I’m not sure if this match was taped for tv or not, but it should have been. It was very hard hitting and exciting to watch. There were a lot of very stiff strikes and Davey Richards proved why he is one of the best guys in the country right now. Dingo was able to hold his own and then some and kept firing back on Davey. At one point, it looked like Davey kicked Dingo right in the face and knocked him out.

Mschif defeated The Amazing Kong to become the new NWA Womans World Champion

Before the match, The ring announcer stated that either title can change hands by count out or DQ. He then announced it a second time, which led me to believe that the match was going to have a count out or DQ ending. I was right. This match never really got out of first gear. I’ve seen their other matches and they were awesome. This match seemed to be lacking the drama and excitement of their other matches. It was still good, but not what these two are capable of. The ending saw MsChiff dive to the floor onto Kong. Mschif got in the ring at 7 and Kong stood up at 8, looked at the ring like she was going to get in and then walked out. MsChiff is the New NWA World Women’s Champion.
