The BJ Shea Morning Experience on 99.9 KISW in Seattle had the Ultimate Warrior as a guest on their show this morning. Among the more interesting comments from the man known legally as Warrior was this gem:

"You know what man, next year is Wrestlemania XXV. You know when it's your 25th wedding anniversary, you gotta do something that is significant. You gotta do something that stands out from all the other anniversaries. McMahon vs. Warrior--Wrestlemania XXV...that would be awesome! Instead of our weird attitudes towards one another, let's let it out!

that would be huge if it happens

Wrestlejam Wallingford - 8/2/08 (Vending)
PGW Branford - 8/30/08

That would suck and be idiotic if it happens.

So much flesh...so little time.

Wrestlemania will sell out with or without Anabolic Warrior. I don't see that there would be that much interest in it but thats just me.

There is a definate novelty interest in seeing him wrestle once every 1-5 years.

Whatever you guys may not want to see him but a lot of people would mark out big time if he came back. Warrior is still one of the greatest talents ever in WWE in the eyes of the fans which is where it matters.

Why wouldn't it? Because he's a lousy in ring wrestler?

His matches may have been rotten, but the guy was a draw. He was also a draw that, like it or not, still maintains a lot of his mystique with the fans. How many examples do we need over the last 40 years of guys that frankly sucked in the ring but drew tons of money? Guys like...

Billy Graham
Dick the Bruiser
The Crusher
Haystacks Calhoun
Jimmy Valliant (in Tennessee)

...all of these guys drew incredible houses over the years, and were at least no better than average (Graham, Jimmy Valliant) as far as what they did in the ring. Many of them were hideous in that regard. Shit...Dusty wasn't exactly a textbook collection of execution and holds either, but he drew nearly everywhere he went.

It may perplex us to why U.W. drew, but he did...and if used strictly as a novelty, more than likely could again.

6 weeks of highlight clips of Hening, Rude and Dibiase bumping around for him, a generous helping him shaking the ropes, some press slammery of job guys and QUICK snippets of sound from interviews (Warrior had great intensity but Jimmy Snuka level babble) plus maybe one live match with him wiping out Stevie Richards in a minute or less right before a PPV and people would pay to see it. If they kept him around, it would wear off quick, but you use him for the novelty and the quick money.

I don' think you have much to worry about, regardless. He loves to shoot off at the mouth, and is more than likely talking out his ass in the first place.

Given the release od the DVD "The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior", I'll bet that he just wants to get his hands on Vince. He won't draw as much as people would like to hope or think, but he would draw enough, especially with the kids, because that's who he appealed to in his so-called "heyday", and I don't see any reason why he wouldn't otherwise. But, given his well-documented history, that'd be almost like allowing Jose Canseco to play ball again. It'd draw, but not the way anyone would want it to. Just more of a "...oh god, he's wrestling again. I GOTTA see this." Then, after watching the suckfest unfold, you'd leave with a bitter taste in your mouth ... maybe to the point you don't wanna watch wrestling again. That is, IF you ordered Wrestlemania just to see it for yourself.

IMO, anyway.

It's not worse than Katie Vick and if people still watch after that it is a safe bet that nothing will stop people from watching. It's not like it's Batista vs Warrior now that would suck

Again, looking back, Katie Vick was fucking hilarious. And I thought that angle sucked when I first saw it.

Id bring him in have him job to HHH in 30 seconds, you know the same way back at WRestlemania 12 when Warrior demanded he basically go over and HHH get no offense.

Now WE disagree. Why would you spend the money, hype his return and do that? They should do what they always tried to do...have someone who can cover for him work with him for about 8 to 10 minutes. Maybe Slaughter will be available.

I'd utilize him in another gimmick battle royal at best, not a main event. Maybe the "Stars of WrestleMania Past vs. the Stars of WrestleMania Present & Future" type of thing. Like Elijah, Shelton, MVP, Santino & Carlito vs. Slaughter, Warrior, IRS, Flair & Hogan {{feel free to modify as needed, if desired}}.

Make S.C.S.A. the referee ... again ...

That's the best I'd offer him. Maybe give him the win.

Maybe bring Chris Masters back, one on one with him. ... LoL.

P.S.: The Katie Vick thing sucked, but it was a different aspect of lack of morals. It was distasteful, yes, but it was a bad storyline. This issue with the Warrior is real. You can alter storylines, you can't alter history. So, main event, no. That's what would turn me away from wrestling ... for a little while ... But involved in 'Mania ... I could see it happen.

Oh I agree it would be a waste of money, but considering HHH's power in the company now, don't you think he remembers that day well and would do it just to feed his ego?

He'd hafta talk the guy holding the purse strings into it, and I doubt he could do that. I also doubt he wants any part of him to begin with...why go back and revisit a fairly obscure match from 13 years ago?

If something like that meant that much, than TNA should contact Esse' Rios (sorry if I butchered the name) so Samoa Joe can get his win back (check the media file for Samoa Joe doing a job on WWE TV with Rios).

I think Vince vs. Warrior would be a great benefit to WM25. It would draw interest and I sill think the Warrior is one of the few old school guys that can still draw. There will always be interest in the Warrior.

Watch the news clips of his outburst at UConn and then tell me you can still say that with a straight face.

actually I have talked to a lot of fans at shows about the Warrior and a lot of them want to see him even more since the UConn incident. Warrior is just like Iron Sheik you want to see what he is going to do next.
