This has all the signs of being a work, but just before the Kane vs. Chavo & Bam Neely match begins, Mike Adamle cuts himself off mid-sentence, you hear some rustling of his headset, and he stands up and walks off behind the barricade, and into the crowd.

Tazz says "Mike, where are you going? Mike come back!" or something to that effect, and shortly thereafter puts down his headset and goes after Adamle.

Neither of them came back.

The entire match had no commentary whatsoever.

Theories and speculation?

Combine these events with Regal's antics during last night's main event, plus I hear some crazy shit goes down at the Smackdown tapings too (not gonna spoil it here), well... quite frankly it's been a weird week for WWE.

I'm less pissed about getting screwed out of the main event ending from last night now that this has happened, and I'm really curious to see A) where this is all going, and B) if it's all connected.

The ending to RAW was GREAT! It felt like a old wcw clifhanger ending, where you needed to watch Thunder to see what happened. At first i was pissed, then, i couldnt wait to find out what happened.

This was really weird, really really weird. Mike walking off seemed almost legit, the way he did it. Tazz then doing the rambo promo, then leaving, was def strange.

Are they going to totally re do ECW commentary? Maybe they want mike out, but, dont want to suddenly switch again, so, they will make a storyline out of it?

I find it odd wwe's website admits, fans dislike Mikes commentary.... and with the coach gone from smackdown (and, i saw/heard NO complaints about him) maybe coach is involved somehow?

WEll lets hope that this doesnt have the same result as the WCW cliffhangers had. Doing things like that was just one of many things that killed WCW.

We had company last night and I wasn't paying 100% attention to ECW so I didn't notice Mike Adamle walk off until I checked the hammer then went to watcch the tape. It's wierd with no announcing. That's one of the things I miss when I go to live WWE shows.

well I turned it off and went to bed after Palumbo vs I forgot who he wrestled already. So I'm mad I missed this. I did like Adamle's joke where Tazz put socko in his mouth then said "Alright you can take it out now Mike" and he said "Well Tazz I'm sure a lot of fans out there want me t keep the sock in my mouth". So obveously he is aware the fans hate him. I thought he was doing a decent job last night though.

Ok I just watched the clip on youtube and it's definitely some kind of work. First Raw now this. looks like I'm gonna have to check out Smackdown to see what happens there. I wonder if Striker will attack Foley for revenge from last night.

But you forget, there were a lot worse things going on with WCW so I highly doubt that was a factor. Also, WWE isn't really suffering through the same problems WCW was. If anything, this was designed to make people hate Regal even more.

I said one of the things, there was a dozen more. NO WWE isnt anywhere near the same problems WWE was. I think its a good way to make people hate Regal, I just hope it works.

Mike Adamle was a host on American Gladiators and he sucked back then as much as he sucks now
