Carole Snuka, who handles all of Jimmy's bookings, sent an email today denying that Jimmy Snuka was booked for Adirondack Pro Wrestling's May 3rd event in Highgate, Vermont and that he had failed to show up.

“I read the article about the May 3rd show in Vermont and that Jimmy Snuka did not show. I want you to let everyone know that Jimmy was never contacted to appear at the May 3rd show. Jimmy would not let his fans down. I schedule all Jimmy events and never spoke to anyone regarding this Vermont event. I need to speak to the promoter of this event ASAP. It would be out of the ordinary for Jimmy Snuka to just not show up and I know several promoters, including several in New England, who have never had any problems with Snuka. Hopefully this is just a big misunderstanding but this is the wrestling business and unfortunately it's not at all unusual for a promoter to advertise someone that was never booked in the first place.” – Carole Snuka

What a great denial. Jimmy may not be the wrestler he once was, but he will always be a world-class denier.

This was posted on the DOI a day or two after this APW event in Vermont. The article states that Spike Dudley was the one who no-showed...and not Jimmy. The story does say that Jimmy was never booked, but was being advertised. However, who really knows who's telling the truth here.

http://www.declarationofindependents.net/doi/pages/apw53vtnews.html

Quote:
News about the Adirondack Wrestling event in Vermont on Saturday:

Word is that Adirondack Pro Wrestling never booked Jimmy Sunka for their show this past weekend in Highgate, Vermont. Spike Dudley simply "no-showed" after working the night before for Hermie Sadler's UWF in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Adirondack Wrestling had Snuka advertised on their posters, but changed the posters two days before the show to replace Snuka with Tony Atlas.

Jimmy Snuka--never booked

Spike Dudley--no showed

Tony Atlas--rumored to be booked only two days before event

I also saw on the DOI the same article that Mr. Punk posted here, but the DOI does not give credit to Adam Lash and Indy Wrestling News for the information.

I'm not gonna credit anybody, so take this as an unconfirmed rumor if you must. But I spoke to a prominent local promoter last week and he confirmed that Snuka was not booked. This prominent local promoter got a call from Mrs. Snuka, who was trying to get hold of the promotion that was advertising Snuka. I think they wanted to sue or something.
