I was watching the Ladder Match DVD today and during the Edge vs Christian Ladder match for the IC title they talked about how they were brothers. When they debuted were they known as brothers? I always just thought they were good friends that were a team. I never remember WWE refering to them at brothers other than that match.

Yeah, a couple of months after Edge debuted, they brought in Gangrel and he brought in Christian, who was referred to as his brother.

Then after a brief feud, the three teamed as The Brood for a while, eventually joining Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness.

The "brother" thing was only occasionally referenced after that. I think in TLC matches with the Hardys and the Dudleys, it was referenced that all three teams were "brother" teams.

exactly. It's the same way Undertaker and Kane are brothers or the Anderson Brothers. Just a gimmick.

I uderstand what you guys are saying but after that ladder match between E&C and later on in their careers they were refered to as former patners and friends

This goes back to the way Kane couldn't talk without one of those voicebox devices but then one day X-pac told him he didn't need it anymore so he stopped using it then WWE wanted everyone to forget it. That's how Vince ends a gimmick.

Its like how when Volture refers to himself as a wrestling promoter because he sold toys with Snake Brody.

Yeah, they just drop gimmicks and continuity because they don't think the average wrestling fan is paying attention... Which is true!

But when they came into the WWE, they had alot of tag experience with each other and they resembled each other and here they had David Heath coming in so they figured "Why the fuck not?"

A H.U.G.E probably not gonna happen dream, but if there ever was TNA vs. WWE the should do a classic TLC: Hardyz vs. Team 3D vs. E&C!!
