Although i do not believe these days hughes would draw a lot of fans, it would still be fun to see him live |

AUGUSTA — The National Wrestling Alliance is presenting a special night of pro wrestling action at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 at the Augusta State Armory on Western Avenue. The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The night of wrestling will feature the former WWE and WCW superstar, Curtis "The Big Cat" Hughes. Also on the card will be Sammy Makua, who was a winner from the ABC television show “Fat March.” Not only has he made a better life for himself, Makua has also become an inspiration to many people through his hard work.
The "Sports Illustrated Legend" Robbie Ellis will also be wrestling on the card. Ellis is a 64-year old that has been wrestling throughout the world for over 35 years. He uses experience as his ultimate weapon, gaining him still countless victories.
Also scheduled for action will be NWA TV Champion Judas Young, NWA Tag Team Champions The Playa's Club, the Scufflin' Hillbillies, Golden Boy Bobby Robinson, The Wrestling Clown, Jason Rumble and much more.
General admission tickets are only $10 in advance. Golden Circle tickets are $15. Advance tickets are available at College Carry-out on Mount Vernon Avenue and Lisa's Restaurant on Bangor Street.

Better than expected attendance, show started very late, problems with traffic apparently. Audio was bad couldn't make out the name of the guys in the first two matches, its for the best. Otherwise a good show, had fun after the first two matches were over. Nice gimmick table with a wide varity of dvd's, figures, and pictures. No concession stand though and the vending machine was charging 3.50 for a soda. There was also no AC so I had to sweat with the rest of the mongies, I still smelled better. Not as good as FRW or EWA but I got my money's worth. |

Probably a better idea to head over to Rite Aid across the street to pick up drinks and stuff. 3.50 inside the vending machine for soda good lord, last time I was at the Center it was like 1.50 or something like that, no way would I spend almost 4 bucks for a soda, especially a 20 oz. |
