I am the *real* guy in The Cubs Jersey - I used to post here before as HouseofShred, but I guess it was disabled…
Since I have been the topic of conversation here lately - I figured I'd clear the air on some issues…
First of all - I have no idea who this "Butcher" character is - it seems like he's having a lot of fun with you guys though - whatever - more power to him - He is not me though - all insults and heelish behavior are all his own creation… While he is working you, I harbor no animosity towards anyone here…
I am an avid wrestling fan and have been since I can remember.
I support independent wrestling, not just ROH, but also local (NEW, P&G, Defiant, etc…) - I buy the DVD's etc… It's cool.
I try to go to as many shows as I can - I usually have Front Row Seats - I like to have fun at these shows.
I am a huge Cubs & Bears Fan (hence the jerseys)
Yes - I threw a chair at the ring Friday Night, but it's all been blown way out of proportion. Here's what *really* happened.
AOTF win the titles - Whatever you want to call it, bad booking, cheap win - I claim none of that - it was all in good fun.
People start throwing garbage - littering the ring.
Jacobs asks - "Is that all you got, Hartford"?
I weakly throw the chair - knowing fully well that (a) no one was around the area and (b) it would never reach the ring
The chair hits the middle of the ropes, bounces off and lands on the ground.
Now, anyone that was there knows how light those plastic chairs are - I could've easily flung it over the ropes - I chose not to.
Was it a little overboard? Sure… But it's live wrestling - not the F'n Westminster Dog Show!
As soon as I threw the chair a "Security" Guy starts yelling at me (Get the F Out!!) - I smile at him and tell him that I'm leaving in a minute - He keeps yelling - I stare at him. Both him and I know fully well that he's not doing anything about it. I turn my back on the guy and continue to watch the promo.
ROH Camera Guy comes over and starts yelling at me - I stared at him and asked him if that was really necessary. He walks away after saying his part. I smile at him the whole time. I'm not there to fight anyone, I am just a fan.
In the meantime the security guy continues to yell at me (Get the F Out), behind my back, getting louder and louder, I turned around and said - "What are you going to do?" - He says and does nothing. At that point AOTF leave the ring and the show is over. As I am walking out, this "Security" Guy is following me - I turn around and tell him that I am leaving - he says something else - I start walking towards him and then his boss(African-American Gentleman in a Suit) runs over - tells him to go away, shakes my hand and tells me that everything is cool. He said that he was running security and that he saw everything - he said that it was all "part of the show" and wished me a good night.
Outside I ran into Larry Sweeney who had been calling me a "Fairweather Fan" - he told me I was a crazy MF - I took that as a compliment from him. So there you have it - from the Horse's mouth.
Anyway - I know there are some real fans and even workers that post here - but jesus people lighten up - these shows are supposed to be fun. Yes I start chants, banter with the wrestlers and managers and enjoy myself. What are we supposed to do - sit there like it's the F'N Ballet?? Come on now - It's Pro-Wrestling M*thaF*ck*rs!!
Any Questions?

Interesting. I have no reason to doubt this poster, about what happened. ROH security does have a reputation for strong arming, so to speak, as Ive been there. I see nothing wrong w weakly throwing a chair, w no intent or harm of anyone, in this case. The assholes tossing bottles at the wrestlers was probably just as bad. |

People shouldn't be throwing anything towards the ring or any of the wrestlers, referees, managers, or announcers at any time anyway. I don't care if it's "wrestling" or not...ROH is not the old ECW. In any promotion, the security guards and/or other staff members should throw people out that refuse to follow simple rules set forth by the promotion in question. If you can't control yourself at a wrestling show because you don't like what the outcome of a match is, then perhaps you should stay home next time and/or stop watching wrestling altogether. It doesn't matter if everyone else is doing it, you should be able to control yourself...instead of going by the "monkey see, monkey do" mindset. |

Oh whatever - It's not about the outcome of a match - that doesn't fly unless you're a dumb mark - It's called living, having fun - you should try it some time Nerd. |

I have no reason to believe this isn't the real Cub's fan either. The only problem is the "coincidence" with him registering a new username at the same time as Melchizedek and posting about the same issue.
But again, the Cub's fan basically dropped the chair in front of him over the guard rail, it wasn't directed toward anyone and it wasn't the aggressive move that maybe it sounds like. Though I'm not saying it was right. |

Why the "message board storyline threat" ? Enforcer doesn't even come to CT shows. |

Heres a novel idea. Go to the show, cheer, boo, within reasonable limits and enjoy yourself. Provoking security isn't smart, they have a semi hair trigger..haha, and provoking enforcer is useless, he doesn't come to CT shows, and he doesnt care either. |
