good line up! i've always wanted to see Joey vs Frankie and Frost vs Battle. its also good to see Mooch and Johnny getting booked else where seeing how theres no DPW right now. i havent seen Steel in probably a year and never seen Steve Loveland or KC Jacobs so i think this is a show that needs to be checked out.

Yes, but the only reason he was working DPW was because he was with his trainers. I don't think he should be working outside of DPW.

P.S. for all you who are doubtful of what the venue can hold, I was there last night and it can EASILY hold 80+ people, not to mention the fact that we are using a 16 ft. ring, not an 18 ft.

...and that's supposed to be impressive?

And also your estimate is too high. Trust me. I used to go to Emerald's Cafe in Bristol (the former name for Crystal's) way back on weekends when they had a DJ or karaoke and with a completely open floor the place might be able to hold 100 people.

So much flesh...so little time.

They had 75 or so for MXW once. when it was really crowded. Its not very big indeed Captain. Again, seems to me that this show is more about "wrestlers working" rather than a "profit motive". nothing wrong w that, if that's their goal. I mean. they prob wanna at least break even, get the guys some work, and maybe start something, if there could be more shows.

I don't know who the promoter is but I think I read on another thread that Holly is the booker.

I am not looking to impress you with the capacity of the venue size. Maybe I don't WANT to hold a huge event and spend an insane amount of cash. If you like the card, awesome please come and enjoy the show, if not, then that's ok too.. still come though. lol

No disrespect meant to Captian Howdy...but why would a guy who is just starting up, with no nationaly known stars on the show, go to the expense of renting a large gymnasium when it it 95 percent likely that he wouldn't even come close to filling the place?

Three words when you start running shows.

LOW RENT DISTRICT

ILC chose his venue fine. I had debated running Crystal's myself...but I really don't have any means of local promotion in Connecticut, so I decided against it. Independent wrestling is what it is, and part of that is making every penny count. Crystals is a realistic choice, as you know at best your going to do 50 to 100 people...probably less. I say that out of no malice, but out of experience. Why start off in a massive hole with a 600 dollar rent bill hanging over your head? You guys are always complaining there isn't any wrestling in Connecticut...why would you want the guy to blow his wad in one show? Hopefully, he puts on a good show. When he's got 'em in there elbow to elbow 3 or 4 times in a row, then let him worry about getting a bigger and/or better place.

The burning question is...will the boys have to change in the root cellar again?

Haha. I thought it was in the attic, amongst the empty Budweiser cases?

1. Will there be alcohol at this establishment?
2. Will food be served at this establishment?
3. Will all the hookers be tested for VD before and after the show?

Don't order us around, if there's something serious to discuss about the show, as it approaches, Im sure the members will oblige.

I must say tho, on the show, the Frankie vs Bricco match is awesome. If one stood on the others shoulders, the Great Khali would still be looking down. Smile

Bear in mind it's not my show so I really have no idea, but based on me having wrestled there a few times.

1) Yes (it's a nightclub)
2) Yes (I changed in the kitchen one night)
3) You're on your own.

Why do you guys have to be so mean and harsh to people starting out? Give people a chance. Everyone started out somewhere at some point. Cut people some slack.
