What promotion do u feel is the best Promotion in New England. Going by the following.

Talent
Show production
Size of crowd/Crowds reaction to the show.

Please don't judge by the names the bring in. (Former WWE,WCW,ECW Stars)

Here is my list:

1. Chaotic
2. Top Rope
3. EPW

This is very subjective, but for my top three of shows Ive attended enough over the years, id say

NECW, EPW and PGW would be there and FRW as well.

9-7 North Haven fair w Big Shot
9-12 FRW Leominster Mass
9-20 GG's return to NECW
10-4 PGW ( I miss you Mom..)
10-12 Way Wrestling was double show/dinner
10-17-19..tbd Papa Gray'???? I hope so.
10-25 KCW tbd
10-26 Kowalski Memorial Malden tbd

Well, probably not fair for me to post since I don't get to many different promotions, but I'd say PGW runs some of the finest, crispest family friendly shows with great wrestling, top talent and good storylines. So I'd say:

PGW
DPW
NEW (which really isn't CT based but I included them anyway)

I didn't vote for NEW first off, because of the fact they base a lot of their shows on bringing in big names, which is kinda what bump it up said we shouldnt go by, But, cant argue w the crowds and success they have.

9-7 North Haven fair w Big Shot
9-12 FRW Leominster Mass
9-20 GG's return to NECW
10-4 PGW ( I miss you Mom..)

Why can't you go by big names? They are part of the show and talent is one of the criteria set forth.

The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

I wasnt impressed by NEW in Bloomfield last time. Lawler has been wrestling the same match for 20 years,Xavier and Zombie were slow and heavy and the local guys were boring and average at best. joe and Steiner were pretty entertaining. Chaotic seems to be a solid promotion with good workers. PGW seems like a bunch of small guys who are working hard to be average but arent there yet. TRP was good last time i went but they had a bunch of non regulars. NECW has never done much to impress me,they do bring in some good guys for good matches but most of the matches are blah. FRW sounds good but havent seen a show. DPW really doesnt deserve to be mentioned. you guys have low standards.

1: Chaotic. It's the fed that every worker in the area wants to work in. They have a consistant following in Lowell and have direct ties to help workers get to the next level in their careers.

2: NECW: While I've never seen one of the shows, the talent they bring in speaks for itself.

3: EWA: Heresey, while not running that often draws a big house every time he is in Orange and uses the best talent from all over New England

On a personal level, my favorite fed is FRW. I freaking love that promotion and I wish I could have had the chance to work for NEPW more because I had a great time

FRW - They are the best combination of goofiness & good wrestling in the region.

Chaotic - They have the best roster of talent in the region, IMO. I'm not a big fan of the actual shows at times, but there's no denying the level of talent.

NECW - Can be a bit up & down, but overall a good product

I personally like moves in my matches, not Colt Cabana like making your more talented opponent look like shit matches. how the fuck did a middle rope puch to the face get over as a finisher? crap.

I'll take that move as a more credible finisher than the Canadian Destroyer.

The punch from the rope is definitely a far more believable move than the Canadian Destroyer.

But I would rather see an Indian Deathlock.

I believe the politically correct term is Native American Life Transition Lock.

How many good punches to the face does it take to knock out an MMA guy...just one when it connects right. Fact of the matter is, there is too much punching in wrestling period. It is "supposed" to be illegal, now people just use it for filler. A clean shot to the face should be the quintessential finish in the business...but it got ruined.

There is no such thing as passing proverbial torches...Lighting new ones is all that counts.

I've never seen Cabana make anyone look like shit. If anything he challenges most guys to step up their game. He is truly one of the best workers in the country and he is a guy that actually deserves to be making money.

A second rope punch to the face being a finisher?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!??!

Fuck yeah that is a finisher. That is my biggest problem with wrestling, guys doing waaaaaaaaay too much. Lawler has gotten that punch over for the last 30 years. Lawler is a guy that knows how to work, and he can go in there and drop a punch, pin you and it is believable. You don't have to do 3,761 different moves in your match for it to be over. Did you know Harley Race won a world title with a verticle suplex?

Sadly, most people on this board finds that boring. And those people are the reasons why a lot of wrestling sucks these days.

I thought he won it with a vertical suplex.

A knee drop, body slam and elbow drop were all finishers. The point was not to be able to endure inhuman punishment. It was to be believable. Simple moves have become impotent. It's not for the better.

I want to say I agree with joey, I workers now days feel they need all these impressive moves to get over but the truth is they are shorting there careers. look at Rey Mistero, he has changed his style quite a bit, Hell I remember when the DDT was the most dominating move, now guys hit it all the time and everyone is kicking out, thats the problem with wrestling today, guys feel they need all these highflying moves to get over..
