I went to see walter on friday. he looked the shits. He was all tired and groggy.

I went to see him today. he was sitting in his chair and looking good.

I told him how he looked on friday and his reply was
"WELL NO SHIT I WAS TRYING TO SLEEP"
Heis in good spirits and still has his sense of humor.

Here is the deal.

Walter is in a nursing home and has bone rubbing on bone in his knees. he can NOT walk or even stand. they use something called a hoyer lift to get him from his bed to his shitty-ass recliner. His wife will push him down the hall or they will go downstairs this hangout room. Walter desperatly needs bilateral surgery.

a couple of doctors said they don't want to do the surgery. So, if you put a Dr before your name or you know anyone that puts Dr before his/her name listen up. if walter doesn't get his knees fixed he will never walk again or be able to stand to stretch his legs. walter has medicare which if you don't know is more the shits than a toilet in a mexican restaurant. he is applying for masshealth. Walter would never ask for even though he really need it now.

A wheelchair for walter is in the works and needs to be custome made due to walters size he is 6 foot 7inches tall
If you ever loved watching wrestling, or you are a wrestler and love doing it. Think about this. Walter is one of the greatest pioneers in the wrestling industry.I owe more to this man than I can ever repay.

To see a man that 15 years ago, without batting an eyelash throw me around the ring or take me to the mat like i was his bitch. even 1 1/2 years got in the ring and wrestled a 25 year old guy. Now he can't even stand is heartbreaking.

Walter has brought many people including myself to tears with some wrestling move.but, seeing him like this. I am man enough to admit this time he brought me to tears without even touching me. we all have a tone of memories of him through the years. one moment i will never forget happened this past winter.walter was at a show in north adams,ma.

a guy came up to walter and took a picture out of a plastic bag.

the picture was killer kowalski holding a little baby. he asked walter to sign it. as he was signing it the guy intruduced a 16 year old girl. he told walter that this was his daughter and 15 years walter held this girl for a picture. and he kept the picture safe until he met walter again so he could sign the photo. This meant the world to this guy. an amazing story for a guy that went through his life being called Killer.

A bunch of cards and letters have already come for walter.

If you have alreadty sent something keep them coming. if you haven't sent anything yet grab a pen.

Send cards, letters, pictures, or donations to
walter and thresa kowalski
p.o. box 67 reading, ma.
01867

keep in mind a little goes a long way

The guys at caotic wrestling are selling killer kowalski t-shirts for walter also. be sure to buy one.

I guess I'm getting me a KK shirt soon.
BTW, has anyone contacted Levasque? If there's anyone who owes anything to Killer for getting him into this business, it's him, and he's someone who can definately make a donation of some size.

A letter describing the situation was faxed to Vince McMahon's office and included the recent article in the Herald.

Vince should take care of him, after all he makes a boat load from his WWE stock every year and he trained his Son in law. Throw this old fart a 100 grand for all the years of service hes done he certainly deserves it.

It doesn't look good for Killer Walter Kowalski.

His wife Theresa just called Bruno to inform him that Killer had a massive heart attack.
Doctors don't expect him to last through the night.

Please keep the Kowalski's in your thoughts. Sad

Damn, this is too bad. But, Maybe the big guy doesn't have the fight left. One thing for sure is that he entertained a lot of fans, for many years in the ring, and out. Plus, his career as a trainer has made it a guarantee that his legacy will live on forever through his students.

One of my favorites, John Walters, admired Killer so much, that he took his ring name from him. as I read once in another persons interview. Here is what he said about Killer, in an interview with me, back in 2005

2. Its known by many that you trained at Chaotic and with legendary Killer Kowalski. What thoughts do you have personally and professionally about Killer?

Killer Kowalski, like many men of his time period, are very old school. He still teaches wrestling as a real fight which I think is good. As much as people know that wrestling is working with another person, it has also lost credibility over the years. Walter tries to instill that realism when he teaches. Walters has taught me many things and a lot of effective moves that crowds today don't see. Training with him was very beneficial as I had a boat load of wrestling knowledge at my disposal and he was always willing to teach you what you wanted to learn. I look up to him professionaly and personally. He really made the best out of his career and helped many along the way.

IF it is his time, God be with him, and certainly he will be sorely missed. Thank you for all of your contributions to wrestling, Killer. Crying or Very sad

I've been talking with Freightrain who went to see Walter today. He is in stable condition but unresponsive. He was trying to talk when people were talking to him, but no words came out and his eyes we're closed. I spoke with WWE today. Vince had given the OK for the company to buy him the wheelchair. At this point we are holding off on that, to see if the money would be better used in different areas. HHH is being made aware of Walter's condition at TV tomorrow.

Please don't believe everything you read. Walter's wife, Theresa returned home from the hospital at 9 PM this evening and said that Walter's condition has improved and that he has certainly not been taken off of life support. Keep Walter in your prayers.

This is a prime example of people reporting information before it's confirmed and starting rumors that upset people. Hopefully going forward people will confirm the information before posting it.

And the very next quote from the same site:

Kowalski update
Walter "Killer" Kowalski was just taken off life support and was not responsive. We will update as we receive more news.

So it's no wonder that people are confused.

HEY listen
to those who know me. you know how I am. to those who don't know me outside of the ring. generally I am a nice and polite guy. or at least i try to be. but I am going to be point blank for a just minute.I don't know where fuck some of you are getting your fucking information. but get the shit straight. If you are hearing things second hand or third hand and don't have all the facts.
SHUT THE FUCk UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all of these rumors are just confusing people and then walters friends and lovedones keep getting unnecessary phones calls. and it's not fair to Mrs Kowalski. when she leave walter she has to go home and try to wrap her mind and heart around this. but with all this confusion her phone doesn't stop ringing. she has to keep repeating herself over and over and over. she had to make a huge effort to not answer the phone just so she could eat lunch today.give me a break will you. just take a minute and think about if this was someone you really loved. how would you feel if the rumors were spread around like crabs in a whore house. there will be true and accurate updates as often as possible. HERE is the deal. Walter had a heart attack last night
(Friday night) and brought to the hospital and put in the ICU. the doctor thold thresa he didn't think he would last the night (friday night that is). a few of us went up to see him he looked bad for what he normally looks like. he was definetly trying to talk to us when we were talking to him. all of his vitals were good. It is now 11:40 pm on sat night. I just got off the phone with one of his nurses and she said he was doing the same with no change since we left. if you respect walter and feel that he has truely built a legacy in pro wrestling. then act like you respect him and his wife and save the rumors gossip and stupid comments for for a shitass talkshow.
I'm done
OH and P.S. say a prayer or two for walter he really needs them.

I think the "telephone" game got this rumor rolling. You know that childhood game where people whispered something to someone and said "pass it on?" It's one of those deals where new people retell the story and a small yet vital detail gets twisted around.

So while there's no real malice behind it, and I don't think the rumor mill will churn out the facts soon enough, ( if at all) people should at least stop calling Mrs. Kowalski, this is hard enough on her as it is.

Spent the day with Walter and Theresa. Theresa is very strong and, all things considered, doing well but is tired. Walter's complexion and color looked surprisingly good but, unfortunately, he was not responsive today. His eyes were open all day but not focused. He was no longer gripping with his once feared hands. Until late afternoon all of Walter's vital signs remained constant. He began experiencing Arrhythmia and his IV was modified to control his heart rate.
Despite reports, no one related to the WWE has visited Walter or contacted Theresa.
Walter has been the source of some of the most memorable moments in so many lives. Please don't forget to think of him now.
