Sheldon, in your blog, you mentioned that you already have 1,300 Mouthpiece podcast subscribers. Congratulations! That's a success!

I just sent the Zone's Program Director a note of thanks for the show. I encourage other fans who've enjoyed the show so far, to send an e-mail of support to the station.

And Sheldon and company, GREAT work so far. The shows have been thoroughly enjoyable.

Joshua B: Thank you so much for the kind words.

The subscribers are now over 2,100 and growing daily. I am stunned and gratified by the response to the show.

While we do not see eye to eye on many things, I will be happy to see Sean Gorman in the studio and behind the mic this Friday.

Carl: True, TNA is not an indy and thanks for suggesting this be posted in the TNA section. We will be having a very broad range of guests on in future weeks and I think that people reading this section will be very interested in the shows coming up.

Thanks again to all.

Hmmm. Everyone has an angle I guess. Rolling Eyes

I thought Chris was a great guest. Very professional, good public speaker, interesting stories on Bruiser Brody, Bruno Sammartino, Abdullah the Butcher, Mike Tenay, Gordon Solie, etc.

So I guess I have to draw you out and ask, what was it about Chris that you didn't like? What would you rather hear on the show?

He was boring I rather have first hand stories about wrestlers from wrestlers not some 3rd string announcer. i think the TNA guy should be interesting. also i know the show is hosted by necw but do we have to hear about it so much? i want the news and scoops of the big groups the small groups i can find out about on here.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion and I totally respect your expression of that opinion. In our defense:

The wrestling business is made up of much more than just wrestlers. Any announcer for a major promotion would have some perspective on the business that is worth sharing.

The NECW content hardly dominates the show, but the company is promoted significantly. That would be the point of all of this.

If its Jim Ross that yes I am sure he has good stories and lots of them but not some 3rd rate announcer who didnt cut the mustard. I am just expressing what would make me the listener tune in more. everyone has their own likes and this is mine. i realize u cant get a big star name or a wwe superstar every week on but sometimes its better to have no one than a "chris Cruise" on.

To say that Chris Cruise is a "3rd rate announcer who didn't cut the mustard" is just flat out wrong. It's one thing to say "I didn't like him" or "I thought he was boring." It's another to disparage the man's ability and performance. To have been hired in WCW next to people like Schivone, Ross, Solie, Lance Russell and Bob Caudle, should be enough to tell you that he was good enough to keep company with them.

And I'm sure u think Todd Grisham is good also and not 3rd rate either.

For a guy with no wrestling background, he's fitting in well. How many major promotion announcing jobs are there? To be hired in the first place, means you had to have some ability going in.

Actually, Joshua, Gorman had a bit of a setback this week and will be staying home to rest. We are hoping to have him back next week in time for BIRTHDAY BASH 8. Mad Dog Matt Storm will join me on the show today.
