Pedroia gets two hits to further his league leading # of multiple hits games.
Ortiz gets two hits. They were both 3 run Homers.
Red Sox get 10.

I hope you didn't miss it.

And to think, as a Red Sox fan, I was running scared of the Yankees. Rolling Eyes

Youkilis just hit a 3 run dinger in the 8th.

Sox now up 19-16.

This game is sick and stupid at the same time.

Red Sox win it. Big win indeed, but it does point out their pitching issues now. Still, they have to be considered favorites for the wildcard, due to their track record and talented lineup.

Leave it to a Yankee fan to point out the flaws.

Mariano just blew a save for the Yankees, so I call it providential humility.

Yeah, that was his first one of the year.....The Sox do have some pitching issues, especially getting to their closer and a couple holes in the starting staff. Thats just a FAN's observation, not just a Yankees fan, a fan in general.

Funny thing, they still are much more solid than the Yankees. Its gonna take a hell of a run to go for the WC, and I don't think it'll be this year. But, I think the Sox will make it, prob the WC. as Tampa seems strong enough to hold for the division.

That's why they went and got Paul Byrd.

Yankees are decimated by injuries. If they don't make the playoffs, will the fans turn on Gerardi or Hankensteiner?
