Seeing how indy feds come and go all the time, I figured I'd start a thread about feds that have somehow withstood the test of time and have run consistently (at least once every couple of months) since 2000 or before. Here are some feds worthy of mention:

Jersey All Pro Wrestling
Combat Zone Wrestling
Chaotic Wrestling
New England Championship Wrestling
IWA Mid-South

Can anyone else name any other feds that have withstood the test of time?

I may be wrong, but I think that Top Rope has been running for quite a while. There may have been a name change involved, though.

The NEW official internet home of the Matt Ryan Radio Programme! - http://www.smokinanddrinkin.com/

Also, debuting VERY soon, a new project with a strong focus on the New England and Upstate New York indy wrestling scene-

You might be right. I think they were Yankee Pro before the name change.

As best I can tell ECWA is the longest running indy around in the USA. Jim has been running fot over 30 years. think it would be under different names in that time tho.

Actually, I think Jim's been running ECWA since 67 so that would be over 40 years. Unbelievable.

They haven't been a "backyard type" fed since at least 2000.

You are wrong. They were booking guys like John Kronus, The Briscoes, etc before 2002, plus they had a feud going with Big Japan Wrestling at the time as well.

Ok fine but I wouldn't say Kronus makes it legit. He really fell apart at the end of his career

Yet another shining example of why you failed as a "promoter."

So much flesh...so little time.

1-Kronus didn't "fall apart" until a couple years after his CZW stint. Plus, he was also working XPW at the time, which despite who ran it and the poor quality of wrestling and/or booking it generally had, was a "legit" fed.

2-A lot of workers "fall apart" and still get bookings around the country. Hell, look at Tracy Smothers. He's supposedly had a series of mini-strokes and he still wrestles.

Hell, look at my sig:

Why must volture and enforcer always argue?

Northeast has run pretty consistently. They take the summer off, like a lot of promotions. In the spring and fall, they could run around 6 times in a month, so, spread that over a year, and, its pretty consistent.

CZW is not backyard and hasnt been for quite sometime, so, it counts. Theres SO MANY CZW haters yet most havent even gone to a show. I havent either and im open minded to seeing it live once.

EWA runs like... 4 times a year? Back in the hay day, they did run 2 times a month (Maine/Mass)

Double Double Shots to finish 2008!

12/5 - PGW in East Haven, CT
12/6 - NEW in Waterbury, CT
12/13 - JAPW in Rahway, NJ
12/14 - CHIKARA in Philadelphia, PA
12/27 - The "Final" Battle in 2008 (Very Tent)
1/10 - I finally come to FRW! Rochester, NH

Kronus also worked ACW for Jason Knight for a bit... possibly also a few other promotions, inc the one Dave Padula worked for for quite sometime.
