Steel Cage Warfare - Well, its gunna be WAR!

ROH Title Match - Pass

Claudio vs Sasaki - Ill be watching VERY closely.

Nakajima vs Danielson - This should be a CLASSIC

NWA Title rematch - Looking forward to a good ole fashioned old school match. Not sure if the NWA title has been back to this arena since douglas and ECW? Or did TNA run there once?

Go vs Steen possibly the sleeper match of the night... go is GREAT!

King vs Lynn should be solid

Anything involving Rhett Titus is GREAT!

Philly looks 1000x better.... as do 95% of ROH Sat shows. Maybe ROH should do a swap sometime?

Double Double Shots to finish 2008!

12/5 - PGW in East Haven, CT
12/6 - NEW in Waterbury, CT
12/13 - JAPW in Rahway, NJ
12/14 - CHIKARA in Philadelphia, PA
12/27 - The "Final" Battle in 2008 (Very Tent)
1/10 - I finally come to FRW! Rochester, NH

It's back up and #1HBKfan says:
"
Opening Match
Jerry Lynn vs. Kenny King
Glazer says that Lynn is over huge.
King does a good job at getting heel heat whilst doing high impact stuff, it's a basic Jerry Lynn match with some a few cool dives and that usual stuff, but the annoying ECW mutants worship Lynn so the match has good heat. In front of any other crowd, it wouldn't get over. King tries cheating with feet on ropes, gets caught, he argues, that somehow gets turned into a top rope rana and package piledriver from Lynn.
Winner: Jerry Lynn, **
Nut bunnies says it was a good, fun opener.

NWA Title Match
Brent Albright vs. Adam Pearce
Nut bunnies says Albright's arm is taped, his injury is legit.

Pearce defeats Albright clean. According to Glazer, it's a perfectly fine match with lots of outside booking to help out, ***1/2.

Nut bunnies says that the match had too much going on for something so early on the card. Says it started off sloppy but turned into a decent undercard match that was nothing special. Post-match, Pearce and Hagadorn kissed each other.

FIP Title Match
Go Shiozaki vs. Kevin Steen

Shiozaki over Steen, ***3/4 Finish comes via a lariat being countered into 2 Go Flashers.

According to nut bunnies - "awesome match they slapped the **** out of each other maybe the best steen singles match ive ever seen"

Post-match Nigel attacks Steen. Cuts his generic "Nobody's good enough, I'm the best" promo. He wants the tag belts.

The return on 12/26 is in the same building.

GHC Jr. Title Match
Bryan Danielson vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima

Danielson over Nakajima, **** The ECW mutants were obnoxious (obviously not enough FLIPZ THRU TABLEZ~!). Glazer says the crowd didn't buy Nakajima's actual finisher, the German. Says it will likely translate much better to DVD. Finish came via cattle mutilation. Nut bunnies says it was an excellent match.

Designated Filler Match While The Fans Return From Intermission
Erick Stevens vs. Rhett Titus

Titus breaks Stevens' nose with just one offensive move. Said to be vile with blood everywhere, but Stevens mauls Titus with the Doctor Bomb. Post-match Sweeney offers Stevens a spot. Stevens blows wipes his nose all over the contract offer, SNS come out, then some undercard geeks come out to save the day but they fail. Strong, SPORTING A MOHAWK, comes out to even it out though.

6 Man For Guys Who Have Nothing Else To Do
Roderick Strong, Jigsaw, & Ruckus vs. Chris Hero, Eddie Edwards, & Shane Hagadorn

SNS over Strong & Vultures, **1/2. End came via Hero loaded rolling elbow. Nut bunnies says Hagadorn blew 2 spots within the first couple minutes, should be booted from ROH, he's ****ing atrocious. On the other hand, Glazer says Edwards and Strong shined. Post-match SNS beatdown Strong. Nut bunnies also says it was a crazy match with a gigantic end sequence.

Non-Title
Kensuke Sasaki vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Sasaki over Claudio, ***, via Northern Lights Bomb. Bunnies says it was good not great. Glazer says that the crowd is very unfamiliar with the puro guys, as they have no idea which moves are the signatures and finishers.

ROH Title Match
Nigel McGuinness vs. El Generico

Nigel over Generico, ****. Most of the match had a dead crowd, but apparently the story worked. Nigel won via a fluke rollup when Generico did the brainbuster on him on an exposed turnbuckle, they rolled into it. Generico's arm was too weak for him to execute the brainbuster, as there was a lot of arm work done on him.

Austin Aries & The Briscoes won Steel Cage Warfare. Just a brutal, intense main event. Delirious spiked Daizee Haze in the face, which shocked the crowd. Necro being the first to be eliminated did not sit well with the crowd.

By the way, thank you, Ceej. You're a jewel and Sweet Daddy loves you!

good show I may have been expecting great but it was worth going down for. I enjoyed every match but didnt get to see as much of Steen and Go as I wanted. Sweeney and the circus still suck. Danielson vs. Nakajima was the MOTN. I havent seen it yet but I think the first encounter with Nigel vs. Generico was a little better from what i read.Generico didnt hit the brainbuster,if he had Nigel woulve been in no shape to get the pin.shame Albright lost the NWA title,to me it kinda dulls the match those guys had in NYC. the six man was pretty enjoyable when Hero and Hagadorn werent in the ring, the VS looked good both nights. seeing Jerry Lynn in person against a top talent like King was awesome. I hope they hook up again. I didnt know they guy posting the results was a doctor as I think your nose can bleed without being broken. Rhett is entertaining,im glad they are actually using him unlike Bobby Dempsey. Stevens looked better here than in Boston the previous night. it was great to see Sasaki in person. honestly Claudio didnt do much to impress me either night. I though after Aries got eliminated that the Briscoes were done. Daizee bought them enough time to recover. Delirious did hit Daizee, top of the head I think,if she was actually bleeding I dont know. I thought maybe they wouldnt have a show before Final Battle but they are returning on 12/26.

good show in Philly last night,im beat. sat behind Kaz and his gf in section D,big breastsand no bra,she turned heads all night long, you are a lucky man Kaz no wonder you moved out. on to the show. Power Warrior Sasake in the US,cool. Claudio picking up where Scottman/serious ring announcer left off,he is now a serious wrestler. Nakajima impressed I hope he comes back so more of the fans who werent there last night can see him. Dragon is on a roll. Steen,Generico and Nigel as well. all of them were kicking ass both nights. I wonder who Nigel will tag with to go after the straps.id rather it not be Claudio but who else is there? is this where tht AOTF starts falling apart or do they just regroup? Ive got to say on both nights just about every one looked good. I cant for the CT/NJ doubleshot next month. I believe Dragon will be in Japan for those shows though. MCMG will be there though.

Match Thoughts:

Lynn vs King - GREAT opener. King got in shape and lost the gut he had when he was in TNA. Lynn still has it and ROH should use him more with the younger guys.

NWA Title - Albright vs Pearce - ANOTHER GREAT match with these 2 with a shocking victory. I really like the NWA title matches on ROH shows, and hope they continue. This was nearly as good as their NYC match, just a tick off.

FIP Title - Go vs Steen - GREAT stuff here from the Ric Flair of Japan. I expected this to be a great bout and it delivered. Im glad Go is a mainstay in ROH as he is one of my fav's in the company.

Danielson vs Nakajima - GREAT MATCH! Whats with the Danielson haters? He is GREAT and if not one of the BEST pure wrestlers in the game today. Danielson landed right where my seat should of been in the 3rd row. Silly blue hair girl didnt get the clue 30 seconds prior that she would be in the way of there spot. I cleared chairs to make room. A scarf, palm and sour worms were scattered in the process. NONE the less, the match was awesome and i expected nothing less.

Stevens vs Titus - AWESOME!!! The blood made it pretty freekin awesome. Not sure how he did that to his nose, but, it was like i was watching a UFC match. Stevens should be doing a "MMA Style" more, fits him better. I enjoyed this short bout.

Stevens DID SIGN the contact in his own blood. I expect him to be joining SNS Inc.

6 way - Roderick Strong, Jigsaw, & Ruckus vs. Chris Hero, Eddie Edwards, & Shane Hagadorn - Why is Shane Hagadorn a wrestler? He sucks and so does his tattoo. Can ANYONE tell me why people LOVE hero so much or why he is "soo good" and used everywhere? I have never seen it. Otherwise.... Eddie & Roderick were GREAT and i hope gabe looks and see's a nice feud with these 2 would be a draw. Fun match!

Sasaki vs Claudio - Everyone was orgasming over this guy and yet, his crowd reaction wasnt huge. The match, was a let down. Claudio just didnt seem to gel well. His uppercuts were weak and overused. The match was OK, not bad, not great. Not sure he was worth the money to wrestle claudio.

ROH Title - Nigel vs Generico - Well, i already knew the winner before it started so, i didnt have tons of interest in getting into this one. Not a bad match. Around the same as Nigel/Strong was in Boston. People seemed to think generico had an actual shot at the title.... LOL.

Scramble Cage - AOTF vs Briscoes/Aries vs Necro/God/Jesus - This was really really good. That running powerbomb into the bared wire table was SICK... necro taking 8 chair shots was SICK and the spike to the head of Dazie was AWESOME! This was a fun match, wild and crazy. I wish it went longer but fuck, those guys did some amazing stuff.

Other Opinions:

I have NEVER seen so many people inside that arena, Ive only seen that many on the old ECW shows. The last 2 things i saw that drew that big in there was CHIKARA, PWU 2-3 years ago and 3PW like 4-5 years ago. Standing room only, VERY few empty reserved seats. No bleachers. Crowd was pretty darn hot all night. Some ROH haters and fans who hated good wrestlers, but, very few of them. I am GLAD ROH is running there again. The professional stage makes the entire thing. I did not have any girl with me in philly... sadly not one with large breasts without a bra on. I was around some good looking chicks, though. This is probably one of the best events ive been to so far in 2008. I hope to make my return in December, but, not sure I can due to work. Im glad ROH drew well this weekend, esp at the ECW Arena. Im still not a follower and still not someone that can get into the product as much as others, but, ive def gotten some more interest.

I had a fucking awesome weekend though. The cutlass didnt even need to to go boston, or philly for that matter. I will be returning to ROH 2 to 4 more times in 2008. Danbury, Edison, Philly and NYC are all probables for me.

Double Double Shots to finish 2008!

12/5 - PGW in East Haven, CT
12/6 - NEW in Waterbury, CT
12/13 - JAPW in Rahway, NJ
12/14 - CHIKARA in Philadelphia, PA
12/27 - The "Final" Battle in 2008 (Very Tent)

im working 12/26 so Philly is out,FB in NYC is in. I think one of the most boisterous haters was the guy behind us who had his first beer Saturday night. it made him think he was smart and enjoyable. I thought Pearce-Albright in NYC was alot better although this one wasnt bad.I dont see Stevens joining Sweeney after getting the beat down. Claudio definitely hasnt been hitting the uppercuts as well his last few ROH matches,i dont know what the deal is. like MWS1980 said the 6 man was enjoyable when Hero and Hagadorn werent in the ring. Richards needs to get back from Japan so Edwards has someone good to tag with.

It's not just on DVDVR. He's on Chikarafans, too. I actually know who the kid is, since he was pointed out to me at Chikara's Wallingford show this year. A true Keyboard Commando, if you know what I mean.

Apparently, he's been deleted from there because his name is no longer listed on DVDVR.

I'm not surprised. Kid has no concept of acting at least slightly civil.

maybe good booking and two good wrestlers working well together and telling a believable story sucked those fans into the match. sorry you werent one of them. I bet if we asked most of them they'd say you are the one who missed out.

Because for years, Delirious was a loveable goofy guy who the fans cheered. Now, he is confused, strange, and deranged. He doesnt know what to think. You have a girl who just wanted to be his friend, but in turn, sent him to the dark side. In his confusion, he acts on it and attacks the one who made him confused.

I love those types of angles and storylines. ...and you dont see a chick wrestler get color much. ROH has a few very solid stories going right now.
