Here we go, as every hammer ites favorite..hehe. PGW returned last night.

Attendance: 175 or so, bout 75pct of setup filled, far as I could tell
Refs: Matt Moore, Zach Carter and Holyoke Joe
Bell: Good ol Charlie
Pictures: Instant Classic photography
Ringannouncer: Joe LaChance.

Joe LaChance began the show by calling out Ron Zombie and Bulldog Blanski, Ron was told he was NOT the PGW hw champion, after the controversy from Branstock. Kurt Adonis and Dick Seamans came out, but they were told Kurt wasnt champ either. So, in the main event tag, the winner of the fall would be the PGW HW champion.

Jeff Starr and Kristian Frost had a solid opener. Jeff's first time in PGW< and the two worked a good opener, with in ring action and brawling too. Jeff got the victory w a swanton bomb.

Its to note there were some new fans, that seemed to be cheering a good number of the heels, but were really into the show, creating a really electric atmosphere for most of the show.

Second matchup, saw Lethal Eddy Latham w Mr Seamans eek out a win over Dan De Man. Ok match here.

In an Intergender tag match, Eddie Kingston and Taeler Hendrix took on BMT and Ariel. Really fun match, w Eddie playing the "comedic heel" for most of the match, much to the mostly delight of the crowd. As with their bridgeport match, it was not the "killer Kingston" from Chikara et al. Enjoyable match, saw the ladies slug it out, and both Kingston and BMT have good moments as well. Ariel got the submission win on Taeler. Post match, the nasty Kingston returned, as he gave Ariel a brutal clothesline, before fleeing w Taeler.

Andy Sweet w Chris Mooch over Jose Perez. Tho this was a pretty good match, I thought it fell short of what I expected. Jose never really got going, and seemed legit injured after a post match attack. After colliding w Mooch who was on the Apron, Jose fell victim to the pinfall by Sweet, who IMO is the member of the "Roma run" from the beginning of PGW, who has come along the best.

The North American Number one contender match was up next. The first part of the match was solid, and of course a lot of Spots. We had Billy King pin Jason Snyper, then King pinned Lukas Sharp. The Angry Sharp then spit water in the eyes of King, who was pinned, and then chased Lukas to the back. Mikaze and Frankie ARion were left, and put on another AMAZING show. These guys have wrestled e/o a lot, but it never gets stale. Simply great stuff, w many near falls. the end came when Frankie tried a move off the top and Mikaze caught him w a codebreaker in mid air. both men pinned each other. A Bloodied ARion and Mikaze agreed to go five more minutes, and more outstanding action ensused, but after hitting his Canadien destroyer for the second time in the match, Frankie ran out of time, and the match ended a draw. the NA title has no new number one contender at this point. It appears they will meet one/one in December, and its a must see , no matter how many times u see them, IMO.

Intermission for pictures, autographs and raffles, w Steven Richards signing and taking photos, also Ron Zombie and a cast of thousands..

for the PGW North American Title, Brian Anthony met Mr Williams w Dan De Man. This was a falls count anywhere match, and it went all over, including outside and into the kitchen, plus ladders. chairs , signs, etc. were used. It seemed a couple of merch displays were clobbered, garbage all over, fans were in the path of shenanigans..etc..haha.Excellent match, that after many close calls, saw Anthony hit Wiliams w a blow to set him up on a table. But, Williams was way on the other side of the ring, Anthony still climbed up and hit the top rope elbow on Williams thru the table, from a LONG way. GREAT finish. Anthony is still the NA champ.

Chris Battle won by knockout over Anthony Battle in a match that went on long, and was slow, plus the fans were drained from the last match.

Main event, Saw Ron Zombie and Magilla w Bulldog Blanski meeting Kurt Adonis and his mystery partner, who turned out to be a bandaged up Brian Anthony. Anthony couldnt do much in the match, but at times, tried to stop Kurt from winning, due to a prior stip. Magilla did pretty well in limited ring time, and ref Steven Richards kept control. In the end, Magilla had Kurt pinned, BUT RICHARDS STOPPED AT A TWO COUNT Shocked He then kicked magilla Low, and Kurt pinned him and won the PGW HW title. Ron Zombie then came in, and tried to reason w Richards, and got Stevie Kicked, That was the end of the show. Great finish to a fun show.

Overall, a very solid show, w a couple slow and kinda blah points, but lots of excellent matches and action too. PGW will return in December, date TBA soon. For me, MOTN individually was Anthony/Williams and the Mikaze/Frankie showdown as prt of the contender match.

Great to sit with and see my friend Infamous Tim. Also, Kaz, Brian, Barry, Melissa, Bethany, Holly, Rachel, Kathleen, Danielle, Oscar, JT and others. I look forward to December, where it appears we will see Mikaze vs Frankie for the NA title number one contender, adn they are teasing Steven Richards vs Ron Zombie. Watch for details.

Show sounded really good, Richards vs. Zombie could be REALLY good if they do it.

Only have a quick millisecond here before church, so I only skimmed Ghost's recap. I totally agree with him about the 2 MOTN's. Absolutely FANTASTIC effort by Mikaze and Arion. No winner, but no loser either. Actually there were winners - the fans. Absolutely AWESOME as you would expect from those two. Brilliant. I liked the last match too. Glad to have Kurt back as champ. As my sign said, and I obviously had no clue as to the ending of the show, KURT - STILL OUR CHAMP! (but the bottom of my sign said should be anyway). Brian and Mr. Williams had an AWESOME match. Great table spot. I think both Brian and Mr. Williams could have been hurt at least a bit from that. Very well done. Both guys are really fun to watch. Brian, man, I swear, the guy is WWE bound one of these days. I called it back in 2006 when he was fairly new. I knew he had a very bright future, and he's proving me right. One of these days, I'm telling you....he'll be in an WWE ring if he chooses to pursue it. Has the talent in the ring, the charisma, the mic skills. Ok gotta run. Be back later to read Ghost's posts and everyeone else's thoughts. Great to see everyone - Ghost, Barry, Tim, Zac, Katy, Chris, Kevin, Ken, Oscar, Oscar's dad and everyone else I may forget to mention.

This was the best PGW show I've been to. Eddie Kingston was so entertaining (Eddie to little kid "There's no Santa Claus" Eddie to fat guy who kept chanting you suck to him "Ladies and gentleman we have to get this man some mcdonalds or he'll die cause he hasn't eaten in 2 minutes")

Mikaze and Frankie was a classic.

Brian Anthony and Mr. Williams was insane and a great hardcore match. Brian hit Mr. Williams with an Ultimate Warrior LJN and an R&W Flying Disc.

The battle of the Battles was good for what it was but dragged a little.

The main event was a great gimmick match. Brian sold the being hurt thing very well and there were a lot of funny things with that in the open of the match. Only flaw was that Magilla was in the ring way too long and seemed like he had no clue what he was doing in there. Overall the match was very exciting.

The show was great and it was nice to see some people I have not seen in a while.

OK, Ghost. Great write up. I do have to disagree with the bit about Andy Sweet coming the farthest. I would say it's a tie between him and Lukas Sharp. Lukas has come along way, although for some reason his push has sort of been deminished. I feel the last two matches of his that I have seen (vs. Nocturne at Wrestlejam and last night) were two of his best. Don't get me wrong, Andy has come along way, seems like he has a new look which is working but I think Lukas has come along just as well as Andy. Just my opinion, but I do feel they are both the top 2 guys to come out of that school.

Lukas has done fine, but I think Andy's size, and I think he is able to better project himself as a character, those two things will lead him to more bookings, if given the chance.

Regardless, Im looking very forward to hearing what PGW has cooked up for December.

Well, Andy does have some size over Lukas but I don't know. Lukas is quite the character too. If they had a tag division, I think they'd be a great team. I do think the both of them have come a long way since their debut. I have to say I think they need to book Lukas with somebody like Mikaze or Frankie Arion. I think it will just make him that much better to fight some of the more sort of seasoned type vets that have been around. I think Nocturne really brought out the best in Lukas at Wrestlejam. By the way, when is Lukas getting that trophy back? I say book a match for the trophy, damn it! Cool

CT'S Next Big Thing Trophy. And I contend it is still Lukas', much as I hate him and as much as I like Noc. I mean, fair is fair, no matter how much of an a**hole you are.

Please, lets not start the Lukas hate angle again.... The trophy was nearly used as a weapon in the Mr Williams match w Brian last night. One fan to my right and back a bit, said "Hey, where did u get my bowling trophy"? haha.

Ghost, I will do what I want as always. You don't like it, tough. All I said was Lukas deserves some more tougher competition to push him to his limit. The fans will benefit but more importantly, Lukas will.

Incidentally, I wanted to say I liked Jeff Starr alot. Good wrestling talent and great mic skills. Looking forward to seeing more of him at the next PGW show. BTW, where was Dan Barry? Hope he's there in December.

Cookie lady, the Lukas thoughts were fine, its the "hate angle" w you and Lukas that nobody cares about, going back to all the signs. Apply for a job with the company.

Tookie Tucker, the wrestling trucker, I think I saw him today in Vernon, I think he was driving his big orange truck in the Vernon Bicentennia parade. toot toot. Smile

Jeff Starr to echo Rachels' thoughts. I also thought he was pretty good too, and hope he's back. But, where was Danger? I think that tag used to bcalled Sex and Violence, (Starr and Danger). Maybe FF can help out w that memory?

And Oz. you did a fine job, but GM of PGW. I don't know about that. I understand December could be very interesting indeed, you never know who could show/what could happen. PGW Security gets big props especially for their work during the FCA match, tho ICP helping Mr Williams put the table in the ring, smacked of biasnesss..haha. Smile

The only reason I brought it up was to say I am a fair person. Even though I may not like someone and think they are an arrogant son of a gun, I can remain unbiased. I don't want to get into it any further either. Let's leave it at that.

Secondly, that Sex and Violence tag team is ringing a bell with me too. FF any thoughts? In any case, I really liked him alot. I didn't think I'd seen him before, but he seems like he's a natural on the mic.

Really, really fun show again. With so much Kurt on the show, and that performance by Frankie and Mikaze, how could you go wrong? One of the best PGW shows yet. Props to everyone involved. And again, mucho congratulations to Mr. Adonis on his title win!

After looking through the NEW store and other parts of their website, this is what I found.

NEW IN TORRINGTON, CT
MARCH 10, 2007 - TORRINGTON, CT
Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart vs. Sex & Violence w/ Big Daddy

Spring Slam Night 1 June 1, 2006 - Newburgh, NY
Sex & Violence vs. The NOW

Spring Slam Night 2 June 2, 2006 - Danbury, CT
The Heart Throbs vs. Sex & Violence

Doesn't say who the tag partner is. And you can just call me falk instead of falk aspargs.
