Just wondering how this works,If someone were to flyer for there show at another show if this would be considered disrespectful to the promotion running that night.Ive seen this done a few times and didnt know what the proper process was or if its frowned upon. |

yeah i've seen it done, it's bullshit. it's the same as when WWE sent DX to a WCW show, in the 90's. you're trying to steal your competiton's fan base. respect the other promotions, and the other guys working their ass off. |

I don't like flyering cars. That kinda sucks. Handing them out to people coming out of a show is rude if it's a rival promotion.
MWF handed out flyers after the TNA house show and being that it was TNA I see that as being ok. |

I think so. Next we can talk about how much wrist tape wrestlers wear. That will be exciting! |

Well... if you get the promotions permission, then, handing them out at the exit is ok. As for the cars... its always good to get a promotions blessing but, esp in NJ, its anything goes.
...and the NEW flyers are great because they can get wet and not get all soggy and unreadable in the rain! |

If you ask permission from the promoter and he says yes, great.... But if you do it without permission you risk getting your ass kicked. |

I used to promote baseball card shows with my friend, and alone, and its kind of similar. If another promoter asked permission, and his event did not run opposite another one of ours, we said ok. Most shows, that was an unwritten rule, w a few exceptions.
At Wrestling, I hate the overflyering on cars in the rain, its best to have someone handing out flyers post show, as I have seen for NEW, PGW, Wrestlejam and other shows. Again, if its done w the promoters permission, and does not run against one of his events, it shouldnt' be an issue. It doesn't "take away fans" either, it just gives them a choice, of a different show on a DIFFERENT day than the current promotion will run. |

I always found personally handing out flyers got much better results then just putting one somebody's car window. |

It's ususally best to hand out flyers to fans as they're filing out of the building after a show is over. One time somebody was passing flyers for another promotion during a show and the promoter either threw him out or told him to throw the flyers away. This Saturday my friend is going to be handing out flyers at NYWC to plug my NYWC message board. |
