So you probably know that he debuted on ECW against the Gold Standard while Kofi was commenting in the broadcast station. People on the ROH board are saying WWE assigned him a new stage name, Evan Bourne. Maybe they changed it back to Matt Sydal just before the TV taping?

Also, the Lizzy/Sydal story from WSX would be perfect in WWE.

Yup you were right. Even though I'm not big of the name change, I now deem Kofi Kingston and "Evan Bourne" the best reasons to watch ECW on SciFi.

Last week he was Matt Sydal, this week, EVAN BOURNE!!!

Match was ok.... Sydal wrestled like he did in ROH still, but, dosent seem to be use to how big the WWE ring is as well as how to take his match times from 10-15 min to like 6 or 7 tops.

Im shocked WWE wanted someone so small, but, I think they are catching on to the fact ECW needs something, and high flying action and crazy moves might get people to watch.

agreed. ECW has great guys like Punk, Kofi, Shelton, Morisson, Miz, Sydal, Chavo and thats what makes them good. Add more guys like Helms, Rey, Jeff Hardy and other new talents

Yeah because that formula worked so well for TNA.

So much flesh...so little time.

Are you trying to say that high-flying can't work on television?

What about Nitro's awesome lucha openers? What about Super Crazy's matches in the original ECW? What if TNA were to elevate their X Division and present it with honor? No need to discredit all high-flying on television just because the big two haven't presented it properly.

By the way, what is it with Vince and his need for babyface's to use that "I'm fired up!" / "Come on!" / hands over the head move? Sydal and Evan used it in both of their TV matches. I guess it gets the kids all excited, but it has never done anything for me.

I think out of all of TNA's faults, the high-fliers are the lowest on that list.

The problem is, almost everyone in wrestling is a "high flier" to the point that nobody gives a shit anymore, except for the cheap pop.

I don't care if they call him Matt, Evean or whatever. Entertaining as heck! Love that style of wrestling. He is one of the bright spots of ECW now in my opinion. Looking forward to seeing more of him on ECW.

yeah all smark fans that I talk to are excited about Evan Bourne on ECW. We also got yet another fun match from Morrison/PUNK. It was not a bad edition of ECW this week....

the highlight: Bourne doing the shooting star on Knox for the win.
