Christopher Daniels dominated the indy scene in 2005. With notable feuds with wrestlers such as AJ Styles, CM Punk and Samoa Joe, Daniels cemented himself as one of the hottest indy wrestlers in the world. In March of 2005, Daniels became the TNA X-Division champion by defeating AJ Styles, Elix Skipper, and Ron Killings in an "Ultimate X" match. Another standout moment was Daniels surprise return to Ring of Honor which saw Daniels challenge CM Punk for the Ring of Honor Championship. Among his other accomplishments include his defeat of AJ Styles at Ball Park Brawl IV to win the Natural Heavyweight title, participation in ECWA's Super 8" tournament, his defenses as 3PW Champion, as well as wrestling around the world in NWA CS, PWFNE, IWC, NYWC, PWG, BCW, GCW, IWW, Zero ONE MAX, and TWC.
